And now, to mark the end of Obitine Week, I present, the Obitine fanfic I wrote when I was 10 years old.
please be kind
yes, these are the original slides it was written on.
yes, this is where it ends. we never find out how the rebels reacted to this story, i don’t think i cared.
yes, i published this (on youtube, with copyright free music over it). i think my dad has read it.
and no it doesn’t have a title.
there’s probably more handwritten somewhere.
@obitineweek2026 you asked for this
transcript under the cut :)
The mission was over and the Rebels sat together watching Tatooine's two suns set. Sabine looked around, the usual crew was there, and Bo Katan was with them, the mandolorian who she had become allies with.
They'd ended up here after a supply mission has gone wrong and they'd had to land in order to escape the empire.
Suddenly a voice spoke from behind them.
"Hello there!" said a figure, walking towards them.
Sabine grabbed her blaster, she didn't recognise the voice. The other rebels also prepared to fight.
Bo Katan signaled for them to stand down.
"Bo Katan?" the figure said.
"Kenobi?" she replied, sounding confused.
Sabine whispered "Do you know him?"
"Sort of, a long time ago, during the Clone Wars.
He reached where they were sitting and Bo Katan turned to the group.
"This is Obi-Wan Kenobi, he was a Jedi before order 66."
Kanan stood up and offered Obi-Wan his hand to shake.
"Kanan Jarrus, I remember you from when.I was a youngling.'
Ezra stood copying Kanan, and one by one, the Rebels introduced themselves.
Finally it was Sabine's turn..
"I've heard your name before, I'm Sabine Wren."
"Sabine?" Obi-Wan repeated.
He looked at Bo Katan
"That's too close to..
"I know." Bo Katan said over him.
Obi-Wan looked at Sabine.
"Where do you get your name from Sabine?"
"I don't know. Everyone thinks it's after the old duchess but my parents have never said."
The old Jedi master gave a sad looking smile.
"Did you know her?" Sabine asked, looking at Obi-Wan and Bo Katan.
"She was my sister" Bo Katan said first.
"You're a Kryze?" Sabine asked, looking surprised.
"And I had a few missions to Mandolore." Obi-Wan explained.
Obi-Wan was in love with her." Bo Katan added.
"When I was very young." Obi-Wan clarified.
"I thought Jedi weren't allowed to be in love.
" Ezra joined the conversation.
"I nearly left the order for her."
"What was she like?" Sabine asked,
"Not just what we were taught about her."
Obi-Wan smiled, "Let me tell you a story.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….
Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were on Mandolore.
They had been sent to protect the Duchess of Mandolore, Satine Kryze, as fighting had started as not everyone agreed that she should rule Mandolore. They thought that the Mandolorians should stay being warriors and didn't agree with her idea of peace.
The three of them were on the run from the people that were against her.
Obi-Wan and Satine were the same age and had quickly become friends.
They had landed on a moon, which is where they had been hiding for almost three weeks.
Before that, they had spent over four months being chased by different people. They never stayed in one place for too long.
But this place was different, they hadn't been found yet and they were starting to make a routine.
The plan was to find a ship with a good enough hyperdrive to get them to Coruscant where Satine would be safe, but they hadn't found one yet.
Every day, Qui-Gon would go to the local town to see if he could find a ship, and to buy food and things they needed. Obi-Wan and Satine would stay at the hiding place, making sure they weren't found.
This was a day that Qui-Gon had gone to the town. Satine and Obi-Wan were sitting outside in the grass because it was sunny.
Satine had shown him how to make flowe hains, and he was sort of able to split the stems to add another flower. As a result, his padawan braid now had tiny flowers in it.
Obi-Wan thought that he'd like to stay there forever. No lessons at the Jedi temple, nobody trying to fight them. Just him and Satine in a field on a sunny day:
Their clothes were all simple clothes and they were dusty, but Satine's flowers made them look nice even if they needed washing.
As the sun began to set, Obi-Wan watched Satine happily running around in the grass.
He thought that she might be the prettiest person in the galaxy. This confused him though, because he was a Jedi, and they weren't allowed feelings like that.
But as she sat down next to him, out of breath but happy, he had to tell her.
So, to end obitine week, I’m posting a drawing I started last August. Obviously nearly a year ago my art skills (mainly my rendering skills) weren’t as good as now, which is why this looks so two-dimensional, but I spent countless hours on it last autumn and never posted it, so it felt appropriate to post it now 💜
On the day Satine officially takes the throne, regaining her place as Duchess of Mandalore, she has an extremely important question for Obi-Wan.
For Obitine Week 2026 Day 7 - Free Day
@obitineweek2026
Late today because I was on the move earlier, but it's here! Day 7 - Free Day for Obitine Week 2026.
Here's my modest contribution to Obitine Week! I wish I had had more time to contribute sooner (and something less dark for one of the other days...), but sadly, life got in the way as it often does.
Please leave me kudos and comments if you feel it deserves it <3

Summary:
Obi-Wan is devastated after the murder of Satine by Maul. But he is a Jedi, so he can't open up about his grief to anyone, not even to Anakin.
For Obitine week 2026 - Day 7 - Free Day
Notes:
I'm so sorry for what I'm about to put you through, especially since most of the fics posted for Obitine week 2026 were very lighthearted in comparison!
I don't know what to say, except that I listened to "Hurts like hell" by Fleurie & Tommee Profitt one day, and with it came flashes of Obi-Wan sitting on the ship that brought him back to Coruscant and crying over Satine. The rest just flowed... And it happened to be right on schedule for Obitine Week, so here I am, hopefully ruining your day with all this angst :)
As she promised, two steaming cups were already waiting for them on the kitchen table. Padmé, barely seated, immediately took one and sipped with relish the tea - as always, it was absolutely delicious, because Owen never supplied anything else. Taking leisurely sips, she elegantly supported the cup by the bottom, keeping her elbows off the table. Her back and shoulders were regal straightened, her chin slightly raised, even though she was sitting on a slightly rickety stool. Only three weeks had passed since the difficult, both physically and emotional, birth. And yet, there she was - sitting as if on a throne, despite the fact that she was dressed in modest robes and the surroundings were anything but royal. Such elegance must rubs into the bones over time, otherwise there's no explaining why… With an effort, Obi-Wan opened his hand to avoid crushing the already barely audible creaking cup and turned away.
Six months.
For six months, he diligently crammed his memory with any information that was even remotely relevant at that moment, just to maintain the control that kept him from plunging headlong into the abyss of her final minutes, her final words, her final touch… Deprived of his former activity, locked in a planet, and focused on the safety of far fewer beings than before, he could no longer dismiss the obsessive thoughts. But since the four of them had settled on Colstev, the image, as dear as it was painful, had never troubled him, even though the soil for its return, in the form of his broken soul, was quite fertile.
So why had this control suddenly cracked now? Why, now, do such trivial, utterly insignificant things irritates something that will never heal? Isn't the Force enough with his suffering, caused by nightmares about Anakin? Isn't his guilt and regret for doing what he, as a Jedi, should have done on Mustafar enough? Isn't his pain from the loss of so many brothers and sisters in Force, killed in the back by those they trusted so much, enough? Perhaps the Force so yearns for him to curse the day that brought their lives together, thus sealing their story's cruel end? He already does. He would prefer never to know her - not her voice, not her thoughts, not her body - if only she would continue to live, if only her soft, so gentle and sensitive to the suffering of others heart would continue to beat, if only… Obi-Wan closed his eyes and pressed his hand to his chin, unconsciously stroking his beard.
She wasn't sure about his beard. Even after they…
Clenching his jaw painfully, he placed his hand on the table, carefully pressing his fingers into the wood to prevent himself from doing anything else, and turned his head to Padmé, still peacefully sipping her tea.
“You wanted to talk about something?”
Better trying to talk about Anakin than thinking about… about her.
Things go awry as Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka escort Duchess Satine and Padmé Amidala to a summit, but it gives Obi-Wan and Satine a chance to clear the air a little bit, so maybe it isn't all bad.
