hello! welcome to my objectum and POSIC sideblog! here is where I ramble about my complex feelings and relationships toward objects! while I've been "out" as objectum since 2013, I am still exploring this aspect of myself as a person in a relationship with another OS person, as there are a lot of unique emotions and experiences associated with having both human and object partners.

my main blog is @clippy and my selfship sideblog is @ohgodimyearning (I consider the latter a companion blog to this one)

keep in mind my feelings can be both romantic and sexual, and because of this, I ask that this be an 18+ only space!

my main object partner is the "it's a small world" clock; I call him Clockboy. we have been together for 6+ years and he is very important to me. (I typically draw him as an objecthead, for a multitude of reasons... If that bothers you then my blog is not for you)

two additional object partners I have are Chip (2014 Prius c; he is my car) and Mr. Mike (Rockin' Robot PS-460; I just call him by what he's referred to in Toy Story but I might rename mine)... I also have a few crushes but I'll reveal those at a later date 😅

The types of objects I tend to gravitate towards are cars, roller coasters, planes, buildings, computers/other tech, and toy soldiers/nutcrackers.

Tags on my previous post are all I'm really gonna say on the subject right now. Not that I NEED to chime in or anything but as someone who is sexually into various toys (one of my partners is a '90's Rockin' Robot), and liked this character since his design was revealed, it feels wild to log into the Internet and see people yelling at each other over something that is fine in a vacuum. Like guys the issue isn't the fact that people want to fuck a toy/character from a kids movie, it's about how they're interacting with certain spaces online under the guise that OS art is "SFW" because no genitals are shown

#Casper has pointed some of it out to me #and we were talking about it and I sit in the camp of 'not all people into object characters are OS' as in some folks have exceptions #and I'm noticing it with this character. which is fine!#but people being weird about this character in all ages tags is Not Good and is setting the OS community back like 5 years 🫩#this isn't a problem exclusive to OS people/this character/object characters in general but fandom spaces as a whole #it's just rare that a character that seems catered to the OS gaze to a degree takes off like this

Hello, it's me, Carson "gay_cars" Clippy. I am a gay, trans man whose time in California is coming to a close a bit suddenly. If you're one of my followers, you know that I lost my well paying job back in September and have been struggling financially ever since. While I am employed now, it's not even enough to make ends meet every month, much less put anything away in savings.

My partner, Casper, is also having sudden changes in his living situation. We are long distance and we were planning on moving me across the country later this year or early next year regardless, but now we are both relocating to the Great Lakes.

He will be moving there at the beginning of July, and my plan is to get there by the end of July/early August. Once I have an exact date, I will add it to my fundraiser and to this post.

I have a goal set for $3000. I go into details on my GFM page explaining what the funds are going to be used for, but I need $2000 to cover the absolute minimum moving expenses of a U-haul U-box (which is a small shipping container) and the gas to drive my car over 2,000 miles northeast.

Any shares or donations are super appreciated by both me and Casper. We are excited to live together soon, we just wish the circumstances bringing us together weren't so sudden and expensive. We are planning on settling down long-term in the area we are moving to, so hopefully this will be our last long distance move for a long, long time.

I'm being so serious when I say it genuinely makes me uncomfortable when minors try to interact with me here. This is for my comfort and safety as much as your's (<- minors).

I talk about adult life and problems. I talk about sex and kink. There is nothing here for you. And if anything, the hypervigilance drilled into younger people online right now would just make you grasp at straws for a reason to cancel me over nothing, because I dare be a pervert online.

Oh wow!! Thank you so so much for in the depth response! I was debating going to Mega, I've never been before, but definitely have a strong interest. But I really appreciate that and was looking at getting a couple of Handle with Care zines. Thank you again!!

Megaplex is definitely my favorite con that I've been able to attend, so I highly recommend going if you don't mind being in Florida (Orlando is relatively safe compared to the rest of the state, but I am of course speaking as a cis-passing trans white man that a lot of people assume is straight... So if you're not already in the state or have never been before, travel with caution)

But yeah, as a con, it feels less "high stakes" compared to FWA. The crowd flow feels a little more predictable, even if crowded. Elevators are a problem as with any furry con, but even without attendants last year, I don't remember them being too wild.

Primary problem I had with the con last year, and is likely to be a larger issue this year, is the smaller of the two pools was directly below our window and people were bringing huge speakers out to the deck and blasting bass heavy music. This year, since the main grotto pool is going to be closer, the con was like "okay we are going to make the small pool a rave space :-)"... Which for starters, I hate how many furry spaces are rave-focused, and secondly, I am super concerned about the day time noise as someone who is autistic and sensitive to sound and the whole point of being in my hotel room during the day is to recover from being overstimulated 😭 hopefully it won't be bad but the average furry has a way higher tolerance to loud bass than I do

We really want a room with an Epic Universe view (which I had in 2024 🙇) which in theory should mitigate the issue. But something to be mindful of if you're going this year and are able to get a room/room with someone.

Hello! I was curious if there were any links for the zines that were handed out at the FWA meet. I wanted to go, but was unable to attend due to prior obligations at the con :(

It's all good if not! I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask though. Thank you for helping host such a meet, and if it happens again next year, I'll make sure to plan better for it ^^

We definitely want to host another meet-up! I know Casper ( @treadgrinder ) hosted an additional one at MomoCon. He also normally applies to present a panel at the cons he attends, but forgot this year for FWA. We are both headed to Megaplex in August, so we ideally want to host the panel and the meet-up there as well.

We are hoping it'll be a little easier to organize meet-ups once we are both living together and going to most (if not all) cons together, as well as hosting some outreach events outside of con spaces. Still working on the logistics of that, though, so definitely follow Casper for more information as he releases it. (We are both in the process of moving to a new area so it's going a bit slower than we originally were hoping)

I reached out to the FWA chat to make sure I didn't miss anything so this is, to my knowledge, the only zines being passed out/around at the meet up!

Handle With Care is a multi-volume collaborative zine featuring art (visual, written, and multimedia) from various folks in the broader objectum community. Volume 6 is wrapping up soon, so keep an eye out on the HWC blog for announcements regarding it.
