I don’t believe in the kind of magic in my books. But I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book.

Hello my lovelies,
If you have wattpad, check me out and I’ll check you out! If you haven’t and love reading or writing or even both then you should definitely check this site out! I’ve been a faithful user for three years since Inkpop merged with Figment and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Todays tip
Hello my lovelies, another short entry I'm afraid, busy writing away the next chapter for my novel. So I'm just gonna give you a tip (and this is aimed at the writers here!). Don't let yourself get distracted! Make a plan and follow through or you'll waste away half your time doing bugger all! Trust me I know...! Just something to keep in mind😏✏️📚
Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination and the journey. They are home.

Calling all readaholics...!
Hello my lovelies..I’m back and this time I’m doing a little something for the bookworms. It’s always hard to find a good book once you’ve finished a great story and for someone like me, who for a long time only stuck to one genre, fantasy, it can be a little bit of a task...but I mean Enid Blyton was my life! Though over the years I’ve become a bit more open to different genres and found stories I’ve fallen in love with! If you’re in need of a new book to read and you’re stumped at what to go for here is my top ten list of book series that are an absolute must read, If you haven’t already of course..!
1. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Now I’m multilingual but I have made it a rule to never read a book in anything other than English (bar a couple) but I broke this rule when it came to this trilogy. I loved the strength of the story and the diverse characters who inspired me with my own novels. It’s definitely a story that will stay with you.
2. The Dustlands Trilogy by Moira Young
I don’t think I will ever find another set of books as unusual as this trilogy. It took me quite some getting used to Moira’s unique writing style but I was hooked from the very beginning. I love the world in which its set and the characters make it a perfect mix. If you like The Hunger Games you will love these books!
3. The Fallen Series by Lauren Kate
I read the first one of this series in only eight hours. Lauren takes fantasy and brings a twist of dark mystery into the mix and I love this. It’s extremely refreshing to find a book so different from general fantasy. The characters are alluring, the story pulls you in and for someone like me who can predict every twist, it’s brilliant because they kept me guessing all the way to a very unexpected ending, a definite must read!
4. The Enemy Series by Charlie Higson
Personally I think Charlie is a genius. The detail within these books are amazing, I felt as though I was there. These books definitely held my attention and had me on the edge of my seat with every page. If you like post-apocalyptic worlds and zombies this is definitely a book for you!
5. The Mortal Instruments/The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
In this series fantasy meets reality and it is brilliantly done, Cassandra has done this in an ingenious way. Even though some people may find this series a bit long winded, I love how easy they are to read. I adore the characters and the setting is something commendable, I really recommend these books.
6. Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas
Now everyone likes a little dungeons and dragons type novel but I love the medieval twist in this series. The characters have flair and an air to them that just makes you fall in love and I must admit, I do enjoy the touch of romance with the love triangle between the three main characters. Great series!
7. Skullduggery Pleasant Series by Derek Landy
This is another series where fantasy meets reality. I love the humour in these books as well as the non-stop action. The main character is witty and clever and I love this because he’s so easy to like. I also really like the natural flow of the books and how they flow into each other, another definite must read!
8. The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner
Now this series has a dark twist and thats what initially drew me in. The action kept me reading until all hours of the night because I just couldn’t put these books down. The characters and intelligent and quick thinking and it’s hard to pick a favourite. Through every twist and turn you’re craving more, this series is very addictive!
9. If I Stay Series by Gayle Forman
Now technically this isn’t a series as it’s only two books, but I adore the story which is set in the two main characters points of view. Its a romantic novel with a twist of tragedy. It had me hooked from the very first page and I fell in love with the characters over and over again.
10. Timeriders Series by Alex Scarrow
This is an unusual mix of sci-fi and history, but it is still very addictive. The story is set in a very controversial time and this brings a certain edge to the whole time travel side of things. The characters are very lovable and with each book in the series comes a new adventure, you certainly won’t get bored!
So there you have it, if you haven’t read any of the books above I seriously recommend it! What’s your top ten book sagas, are any of them already mentioned above? Drop me a message and let me know..!
Writer's block..!
Something a lot of writer's struggle with is writer's block. Now everyone goes through it at some point and I know from experience that it is beyond frustrating! So here are a couple of tips to help you get out of your writing rut:
1. Step away from it.
One of the best things to do is give yourself a break. As writers we put pressure on ourselves to finish the next chapter for ourselves or our readers and sometimes that is just not going to happen, so just step back and take a breather.
2. Jump forward.
Sometimes I find the best way to get my flow back is by jumping forward in the story, then you can go back and fill in the holes with a possible new look on where the story takes you.
3. Go back to another project.
If you're anything like me you'll have something like 6 stories on the go! Its ok to drop one story for the meantime and add to one of your other projects, you can always come back to it later.
5. Read a book.
Occasionally I will step away from a novel I just can't write and just read something. I find that it opens up my imagination and gets me back into the flow. 6. Let it run its course. Recently I found that my writer's block was so bad I couldn't write for 5 months! I tried and tried and really pushed myself for my natural way with words but my mind was as empty as the blank page in front of me. So I left my computer and after a couple of weeks I tried again and a pattern emerged and just as I thought I'd never get my juices back my mind simply snapped back, all I had to do was give myself some time.
So there you are..! If you guys have any tips for writer's block or how you overcame it then drop me a message and let me know!!
