I lowkey just wanna make sure you’re happy as fuck
i love this SO MUCH
in the mood to get tattooed
Things I love ‘The Rain’ for:
Showing young people in a post-apocalyptic environment who act realistically, who are frightened out of their mind and do stupid shit because they don’t know how to react to the trauma that they’re going through.
The healthiest, maturest break-up I’ve ever witnessed on my screen, ever.
The kids are actually given time to grieve and feel like shit.
But there are happy, hopeful moments too, which don’t feel forced.
Showing the struggle of holding onto your humanity during times of survival.
Establishing a healthy relationship built entirely on amazing communication and mutual respect in eight episodes.
Showing that violence isn’t always the best way to ensure survival.
Young people talking to each other and supporting each other through grief.
Realistically depicting how spending six formative years in a bunker can affect someone’s mental development.
everyone’s talking about “the goldfinch” and i REALLY need it to be good because i deserve to see the following things in a future “the secret history” television or netflix adaptation:
1. francis abernathy’s fashion;
2. henry learning about the moon landing; AND
3. richard papen’s very bleak winter in the warehouse
To lose something that should have been immortal… please tell me it isn’t true. The Goldfinch (2019) dir. John Crowley
