𝘼 𝘽 𝙊 𝙐 𝙏. niran was born to a witch mother and a human father who was unaware of his wife’s magical status until after they’d married. what happened when he found out isn’t known, but it had ended up with a young niran abandoned and placed into the system. it was no surprise that he became an obscurial, luckily for niran, both he and the one other child witch in his foster home were discovered and fostered. but his status as an obscurial made it difficult for him to properly utilise his magic. niran ended up overly dedicating himself to his studies, particularly transfiguration. studying never came easy to him, but his obsessive hard work paid off in the end and he was personally offered a role at wyvern by the dean.

Alice hadn’t liked homework at the best of times. And when she’d already qualified as an auror, she really didn’t want to do homework. But she trusted Dumbledore, and if he thought her being here was helpful, then who was she to disagree? And she supposed that she did want to eventually get a seat on the wizengamot, so studying law enforcement was quite useful. it didn’t mean she had to like getting homework though. She supposed it made her look like a standard student, who complained about homework. And that was how she had ended up sitting on the benches outside the library.

“I can’t believe they gave us homework on the first day of classes.” She murmured, as she saw that someone had come to stand by her. “It sucks”

he supervises in the library sometimes, their head librarian isn’t exactly the friendliest of the bunch so the dean rotates the other faculty sometimes for damage control. her comment doesn’t exactly catch niran by surprise, there have been many like it but it does make him frown slightly. he’d assigned his own class some homework. “ a lot of you have been out of education for a few years. homework will help you get back into an educational mind set. “ he tries to explain kindly. it wouldn’t do for the students to think the professors were being malicious. as he glances at her homework his frown deepens. “ although, he can’t help muttering. “ if i was your professor i would’ve given you a few more rolls of parchment to do. “ but then he always had been an over achiever.
