Reblog if you post whatever you want on your blog! I do. :3
I can change clothes like a superhero.Â
I feel beautiful without hair. What you have to say a out me? I really don't care. (:
There are some things that you can only post on Tumblr, not any other site. Because it only fits for Tumblr.
When two friends brag about what they did without you...
WARNING, TRIGGERS - Just over half way through the post.
Why do we take photographs of our patches/damage?
—-
You do it for attention.
You do it because you want to dramatise it/glorify.
You do it because you want sympathy.
You are so strange, why?
—-
I do it, because of several reasons:
1) Because half the time, I cannot see the damage with my own eyes. Taking photographs has become the main way of seeing what I look like. For many years, I could tilt my mirrors on my wardrobe doors so I could see the back of my head. I no longer have them.
2) I keep record of everything (this goes beyond my hair). I’m a hoarder of documentation. I can’t help it.
3) One day, I won’t have any hair. All these photographs are kinda evidence for my future self, that in my past, I actually looked semi-normal.
4) To explain certain things, methods of pulling or help.
5) I document my entire life online, what’s wrong with doing this too?
6) I just don’t know.

It’s the same with all sorts of “self harm” - (I’m still mixed on whether to call it self harm or not), people take photographs of their bodies as they do things to them.
The Trichotillomania Tag on Tumblr is relatively scary for people who know nothing about it. I tend to see more negative than positive posts… So many others photographing their hair/spots etc.
I used to upload content such as this blog to another site, years ago. I was strange, I was the only one. Nowadays, it seems we all do it. It’s fairly normal!
I guess it’s just part of our generation, what we do. We photograph our food, random things on our mobiles. We can snap a moment and post it onto the internet, to an audience of tens of thousands - in seconds.
——
It’s just something I do, as do others.
