Akio Ohtori - Shining Force 2 style I intended to have him replace King Galam and his "possessed" form is him in his prince attire. I held off of posting this one because I wanted to finish his "Dios" version, but I've been so busy I've lacked the time to tackle it. Maybe soon.

RGU sketch pages, trying perspective

This is the progress so far on a more RGU focused mod :D As you can see there's not much of the story that actually needs to be changed haha. For some reason Wakabas blinking didn't export properly (I have a funny feeling I didn't export to disam and instead just exported img). I feel like I also did the same for the Nanami pronoun, woops. But you can see them all together, and if you wait till the end, you can see the tower and Anthy too!

This was put together using Shining Force 2's disassembly project and I'm running it in KegaFusion.

Nanami Kiryuu! Her hair was really fun to do. She's drawn in the Shining Force 2 portrait style. I forgot to say on my last few, but you are welcome to use these in fanprojects and such, just be sure to credit me :) I have Akio coming next.

I'll get to Nanami eventually, sorry x-x I'm going to make Wakaba replace Sarah from Shining Force 2, as I think she makes a great replacement for one of Bowie's best friends (who is now Utena!) She has a lot of forehead space, trying to figure out how to render that, haha.

I'm sorry I have played this game and known this game for over 30 years and did not know this was a thing! This actually scared me. To my knowledge, no enemies in the entire of SF1/2 and CD jump out of chests like this besides this single instance.

My Shining Force II x Revolutionary Girl Utena mod is completed. The game is exactly the same as before, but with the following changes:

Bowie the Swordsman/Hero is switched for Utena Tenjou and Princess Elis is switched for Anthy Himemiya. The pronouns are switched up in the dialogue to reflect this. Utena has a custom promotion portrait and battler sprites. This includes any during cutscenes. The ending scene is changed for Anthy x Utena.

The only item I changed was the Power Ring, where I changed it to look like the Rose Seal.

I only applied the "Search in Battle" fix because it doesn't make sense not to include it, as it was a bug in the base game that made two treasure chests unreachable. --- Installation instructions: To prevent piracy, I only provide the patch. You will need:- You will need to own a clean US copy of Shining Force II (US) in the bin format. SF2FemaleMCRGU.IPS (This is my mod, you can find it in the link above) Then you can go to this website https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/ and patch it yourself. Alternatively, if you're oldschool you can use something like Lunar IPS to patch it on your computer. After that it should run in things like Retroarch, Kegafusion or Gens just fine.

--- Things I considered adding / doing (Not off the table in the future.) I wanted to keep this version as vanilla as possible, so I tried to change very little without impacting the core game. Consider this the finished version until further notice. In the future I would like to:- Do a more RGU focused mod that replaces more characters, for example - swapping King Galam of Akio Ohtori, as since King Galam is the one that kidnaps the Princess, I feel like he is really fitting for the role. Replace Cameela with Shiori. She does work I promise. Make Granseal Tower visually look more like the staircase/duelling platform from RGU. More party members from RGU, like Juri, Nanami, Miki, Touga, Saionji. It IS possible to have branching promotions in Shining Force 2. I was considering repurposing the Silver Tank item to have the cars from AOU but I wasn't sure how people would feel about that. Anyway have fun!

I'm finished! I did the ending kiss scene for a Shining Force 2 mod, but with Utena and Anthy. It uses 16 colours. In Shining Force 2, there is an ending kiss scene, and I replaced it with Utena/Anthy! You are welcome to use this in other mods if you like.
