Weeb Wednesdays week 2

Back at it again with the shitty anime songs that I like and think to talk about

this week we have: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood op 1 [Again] by Yui

My thoughts on the song:

I love this song man, the lyrics (on the video) are so on point for the show and just in general are super hard on the feels, but the singer is really good too and honestly its one of those songs I often loop over and over because it just has that "gives you goosebumps" feel to it. Also there is this one headcanon someone had about this song and FMA:B in general that the song is a sort of declaration by the god of the FMA:B world to redo the story (as FMA:B is a sort of reboot of the original Full Metal Alchemist series but this time the plot followed the manga properly in which case I guess the original FMA could be considered the reboot) as the song is titled "again" and all

My thoughts on the anime:

it is the only valid english dub, and honestly there is a very good reason it is number one on my anime list so anything I say about it will likely just be more of the same thing you'll hear anyone say about it so just shut up an watch/rewatch it already

My inspiration for the succubus side was that post Beefy(the fairy) put forth about if others wanted to make their own oc-ask-cryptids and among that post's replies a mutual of mine suggested that someone do a "succubus" type that asked all the more nsfw stuff, which I liked

the cupid on the other hand came about as I realized I also wanted to do some sfw relationship related asks as well

as for which OC would do what

Katherine would probably go the succubus route (being one herself)

and Nora would probably go the cupid route

I enjoy me a good beach episode every now and then, Its always fun to see the whole "do I look good in the swimsuit" banter as well as the occasional lost top event, especially if the series so far has a specific set of love interests involved in the semi-lewd to lewd shenanigans, also I imagine it might be easier on the artists to not have to draw that many clothes and be able to just have simple swimwear.

Weeb Wednesdays week 1 (maybe)

@tony-the-mage I am stealing your idea sort of.

So what is this anyway you may ask?

Basically this is a once-weekly thing where I go about finding some random song (usually an opening or ending) from an anime that I feel is worth a listen and maybe talk about the song/series it is from.

Today's song is: Bleach Op 13 [Ranbu no Melody] by [SID]

So why'd I pick this one?

Well honestly this is just the first one I thought of out of the bunch, I'll be sure to think about it more next time though, maybe.

Though I suppose this one has a bit of a vibe that makes it oddly fitting for a sort of "arc theme" for my Skyrim OC Gran nearing the end of the whole main quest part because of his story and how the song's lyrics sort of work well with it

Also they did this star wars opening thing with the song too so I thought that was cool

As for the anime it is from, I honestly liked it well enough but a lot of people apparently hated it eventually at some point and full disclosure I only ever really read the manga so I don't have much for a frame of reference in this matter.

Also since the fact that y'all probably aint weebs like me have the english translation for the song under the break

My favorite map for smash bros was the custom one my friends and I made where it was just a box with spikes on the two ends of a frozen floor and the falling blocks on top, so that once you entered the box unless items appeared on the top and tumbled down you'd be unable to get knocked out and thus just had to stay in this hell where your character could not die but endlessly took damage.
