Misaki - beginning

When I first made Misaki, she was kind of edgy, overpowered and just a bad character design and I gradually improved her, made her believable and such, but I decided to endure my cringeyness and keep her old ways (edge and all) as her teen years and contrast it to how she is now, showing her character development. 

Misaki, sole offspring on the King Reaper. An adventurous, loving and trusting spirit.

Misaki was the first child of a reaper and human, which, before her existence, had never happened before nor was even thought of. Her life came about when the King Reaper, her ‘father,’ was plotting on ways of becoming the king of species that had no rulers.

The reapers are beings of infinite age. They have been since the beginning of time and will be until the end. Their purpose is to deal with the souls and deaths of the living. They live in a realm of dust which can see into the human realm, which is where they preform their duties. Until the birth of Misaki, reapers had no physical form, but they adopted one once she came to be. 

Apart from having no form, reapers have the ability to see certain facts about the living such as name, age and lifespan. They will know when it is a souls time to die and it will either be caused by another living being or by the reapers. The reapers can cause natural deaths or influence things to happen so that the soul’s body dies. 

Despite being powerful beings, the reapers do not know if there are higher beings above themselves. They, in a way, send souls to even a heaven or hell, but they do not decide which.

Each reaper has it’s own responsibility, such as dealing with the souls of children, elders, murderers, etc. Most reapers would have more than one responsibility. The King Reaper had wanted to become king of the reapers and have less responsibilities and more control over the realm. To do this he would need another reaper to take his, but reapers were were born nor died. All the reapers that existed had been the same ones millions of years ago, so he saute to make a new reaper. 

The King Reaper took a human form and travelled to their realm. Here he met a rogue woman. A village carer with a heart of gold. The woman looked after the village children and was not taken by a man. The woman had been abandoned by her partner upon discovering she was ‘cursed,’ or unable to bare children. 

It wasn’t difficult for the king to make the woman fall in love with him and when he promised he would make her bare a child, she was completely and utterly smitten. The king left once she became pregnant. The woman’s heart was broken, but at the same time she was overjoyed to be baring a child. She named the child Misaki, after the gorgeous blossoms that burst on the morning of her birth.

Misaki

I consider Misaki my first real OC. This basically means the first character once I snapped out of my hardcore edgy faze. 

I only recently decided on a face claim for Misaki, as I previously had used inaccurate anime pictures or just explained her appearance. Then I saw Kat Graham with blonde hair and decided it was probably the more accurate person I could find. 

Misaki is one of a kind. She’s a being from a limbo of sorts realm which is home to the few beings who deal with those who die. Most commonly thought of as ‘reapers,’ they are ageless entities that watch over all life. There are only a few of these reapers. Enough for each to have a specific job. Dealing with the lives of young, the lives of old, the murdered and so on. Reapers are not so much physical creatures, but more things that just are.

Reiner

Reiner is not my first character, and not my last. He was originally a side character and unimportant. He had no backstory and his only purpose was to be a gender opposite of my main gal at the time. He quickly became a fan favourite (and by fan I mean among my small friend group) once his character developed. I fell in love rolelplaying him and just making him more in-depth. 

The only issue is I’ve never been able to have a decent face claim for him. I use three images, but these are for personal reference and I don’t own any of them. I have a perfect image of what he looks like in my mind, down to every skin mark, but I can’t express it (which is extremely frustrating) and it’s times like these I wish I could draw.

The closest I’ve come to an example of his face would be slender like Tom Hiddleston’s, sharp and strong like Michael Fassbender’s and then some other different features. 

So who is Reiner?

thoughts and intents

i’m starting this blog as my own personal diary, where i’ll be dumbing whatever i feel like at the time.  i don’t want this blog to become something that gets involved in drama, political views or sensative subjects. if i ever seem to be drifting from this path, feel free to give me a gentle kick up the ass.

as well as being a little rant spot about my personal life (which i won’t be specific about), i also want to share my ocs. ocs have been something i think i’ve used as a coping mechanism and healing thing. i first started making characters to escape the stress i was feeling a few years ago and i never really stopped. rp (roleplay) is something else i’ve found enjoyment in doing and that is what i mainly used my characters for, and where i get their ‘backstories.’ rp is something i do platonically with a friend and some random people, and i want to play it clear im not interested in smut and that sort of thing.

i’ll be posting a mixture of short text posts, little diary entry things and screenshots from rp. i also (if i get any) want to get submissions from you guys, of your ocs, short stories and such. 

- i am not an artist, nor am i good at art. i’ve tried a few times, but i doubt i’ll post those monstrosities, so any art i use is not mine and the credit goes to the original artist. i’ll make sure to credit artists whenever necessary! -
