I was first introduced to the Guerrilla Girls in college for a western art history course when I had to purchase a very large very serious art history textbook and this book:

Anyway. On the first day of class my professor says, “we had you all purchase the Guerrilla Girls book because we realized that the History of Western Art book we assigned didn’t have a single woman artist in it and it was too late to select a new book for the course.”

I learned far more from the Guerrilla Girls boom that year.

Just thinking about that (possibly an urban legend) fic writer who did Crtl+F and Replace All "ass" to "arse" on their British-set fic and wound up with words like "arseessment" and "comparseion" all over it.
