A continuation from - @tanabota

Obanai doesn't do much outside of the corps. His whole life practically begins and ends with his job. Meaning, the other hashira are the only people he spends any casual time with. They're an odd bunch and he's reluctantly willing to include himself in that assessment. Most are respectable, but some downright piss him off past the point of reason. None of them are anywhere near as tolerable as Shinazugawa, though. Several times, Obanai has tried to put a finger on exactly why.

Only for 'why' to stop mattering entirely the moment he's in the taller's presence. He gently shakes the bag when Sanemi turns towards him, to bring the other's attention to it. "I like watching amezaiku," Obanai explains with a slight tilt of his head. His tone is still subdued, but lacking a sharp edge. "Is it really such a stretch to say I've watched people make mochi too?"

When relieved from the bag, Obanai leans on the table. "When did you learn how to make this? I don't believe you've ever mentioned cooking before," he poses the question back. For some reason the idea of Sanemi cooking is fascinating. To the point of restraining himself from leaning in for a better look, but being unable to stop himself from at least standing closer than he might normally.

Slowly coming out of hiatus and interacting with things. Im trying not to overwhelm myself immediately right out of the gate so I may par down my priority muses and start with smaller replies until my legs are fully back under me. I may be back on and off or throw things in the queue but my autism mask broke. I'm barely scraping by between work and my life obligations. Normally it was demons that liked to just mess with her. And she could handle herself. She was a hashira after all. But when it came to other men that weren't demons? Well, it wasn't like she could just cut them up with a sword. She could, but what good would that do? Mitsuri was one that liked to help other people, not hurt them. Even if they were being pigs. And right now these two men were making her feel rather uncomfortable.

Mitsuri had already told them to back off. But of course they didn't listen. And now, one of them had grabbed a hold of her wrist. Trying to force her to come with them. But as she heard a familiar voice from behind, her eyes practically lit up. "Obanai!" Mitsuri attempted to break free from the other's grasp. But it his hand was still around her wrist fairly tight.

Obanai doesn't put value on senseless violence. Civilians were to be protected, not maimed without reason. This, though, is the kind of thing that gets his blood boiling. The mere sight of Mitsuri's discomfort is enough to get his feet moving, but the fact that they're touching her lights his nerves on fire. His eyes narrow and brows twitch as he storms closer. His shoulders raise like hackles.

Compared to the two men he's small and it's not lost on him. His clothes give him more weight than is actual body has. The facts do nothing to phase him. He puts himself between the two without a word and grabs the other man's offending arm. Any spoken words fly over his head as he slowly tightens his grip. "You'll let go of her and you'll leave," he commands. "Or I'll break your arm in so many places they'll have to cut it off to spare you the pain." There's a hiss to his voice. Mismatched eyes locking onto one face as Kaburamaru rises to threaten the other in his own way.

His free arm reaches back to Mitsuri. Offering his hand quietly from under his striped sleeve.

Yapping mostly. Questions about my characters or writing about them will get my muse back really fast. Songs and making things like playlists or moodboards will do that too! Really just any non-writing things related to whatever muse I need to write.

I'm not a good judge of what's sad but I wrote Quin a starter at some point in the last few months that was Rengoku foster kid Obanai confronting Shinjuro after Kyojuro's funeral about everything he did to them. It made Quin cry so much their tears wet the pillow. I'm pretty proud of it ngl lol.

I like both. Softer dynamics can be a little hard for me just because I do need something to drive the scene (which is why i'm a huge fan of hurt/comfort). Conflict heavy is an easier space to play in but I like looking at the softer moments between conflicts too. So definitely like both one is just easier to do.

I answered this one already but I wanted to make another note so duplicate ones will just be an elaboration ig! My dad was a forever DM and I learned a lot of how I approach writing stories from how he planned his campaigns. My focus in writing is always to make sure people are having fun. That we're writing something the other person wants to and I love helping other people tell stories. I'm really firm on how my character is and I wont bend them much but I want to help other people bring their ideas to life. Their joy makes everything worth it and that's in huge part from also being a forever DM.

Angst, horror, hurt/comfort. I love putting characters through absolute hell. I also really like slice of life if the life is messy. I just like when there's something to cause tension even if it's more in the background. Fluff doesn't really work for me? Not all the time. I often feel a bit awkward because I don't know what direction to take it.

I'd say there's a bit of me in all of them. Some of them just a shared interest or opinion. I like to have a string that helps me get in their head in a sense. It's hard to imagine writing a character without finding some point of connection that lets me start to sympathize with them and I often need to have a really thorough understanding of how their brains work before I feel confident writing them with any regularity. I think I could write 10 page papers on just about every muse I feel confident writing and it's hard to not notice the similarities sometimes.

Oh god its been like 13 years online and probably closer to 16 overall. Originally started with star wars rp passed around between friends in a composition notebook. Then I started rping on forums and facebook once I had regular computer access via the public library. I really got my start roleplaying in the most broad sense at my Dad's D&D nights with his friends where I was every random child NPC they encountered and that started pretty much as soon as I learned to talk. I still remember my dad teaching me new words by having me try to read them off his character sheets and stat blocks.

Royal and knight dynamics actually. Especially when they're insanely unwell about each other. Pushing that into a co-dependency range? I'm sat. I'm on this ride and I'm not getting off until they've destroyed each other NGL!!!! Like our Genya and Demon King Tanjiro verse with my Tanjiro? They make me unwell. That borderline knight/protector as kind of a pet to the royal/leader behavior. I love when the protector would kneel without hesitation, especially if they fully understand the treatment they're getting and are okay with it. I want them to be that desperate and loyal, y'know? It just makes me sick in the best way.

🚫 What’s a trope you avoid or dislike?

Characters who are just perverts. I hate characters who's only thing they do is be a creep. Like why do you exist and when can I kick you in the balls. It's not funny it just makes me deeply uncomfortable and I can't write them sympathetically.

Sometimes, but honestly very rarely! Most of my reactions are theatrics to show my love for my writing partner. My emotions are weird (thank you trauma and dissociative disorders) so nothing ever really makes me cry or really Gets Me In The Feels TM. Most of the time they make me just excited and happy.
