Then Nick would totally appreciate that because he has that mysterious billionaire thing going for him but I feel like maybe it took something like Lex coming to his parties to get anyone to come there at the beginning?? Because it’s like WHO IS THIS GUY WHY IS HE HAVING PARTIES ARE WE ALL GOING TO BE MURDERED?!?! and maybe Nick’s parties have picked up steam now but Lex was really the one who helped get them going in the first place??
Ahahha. Nick probably has embraced it by now because if Lex is calling him Gatsby then other people probably are and Nick is probably known as the resident Gatsby even though most people have actually never met him??? Of if they have, don’t really know it. But I totes do think that’s cool that all these other rich people are starting to flock there because of Nick and the Porters. Like actual trendsetting rich friends, haha.
OH MAN. YES THAT. I actually can kind of see these two having met in New York??? (Did I already ask you about this? I can’t remember.) Maybe when Nick was just starting his company and was living in New York he actually met Lex and it was when Nick was still super socially awkward and maybe Lex was actually one of the ones who was like “if you’re going to be rich, you cannot be this awkward” and help turn Nick into the sassy, confident man he is today?? I dunno, would Lex even do that?? Because if he could then these two could’ve actually been friends for a lot of years. But yes, I still definitely see them hanging out at rich people parties. Which sounds so fun, ahaha.
OHHHH!!! Maybe Nick actually knows that something up with Valerie (maybe just not what) and knows that Lex wants to stay in VA Beach. So maybe Nick does actually consider buying the house but is doing so incase Lex decides he does want it?? Because I could see Nick buying it just because but he doesn’t actually need it so I don’t think he’d be super upset if he didn’t get it. He actually might tell Lex, tbh. Though actually now that I’ve thought more about it, I feel like Nick does put a lot of money into things around the town and so he actually might end up moving back to New York still owning things in VA Beach. But I feel like a lot of the money Nick throws around in the town is more to help people?? Like he probs owns half of the hospital (which would’ve been through donations, probs) and maybe a hotel or two or things like that. Because I feel like Nick does want to help people with all the money he’s owned because on the flip side from Lex, he does understand what it’s like to not be rich. Though Nick, like, makes back everything he spends as soon as he spends it so it’s not like he’s going to go broke by donating things, haha. BUT THE BANANA OH MAN. Yes. Ahahaha. Nick would probably just laugh because he might not know how much a banana costs anymore, tbh. I’m honestly torn between Nick having Sally do all of his shopping and him, like, trailing her around the store while on the phone or staring at his phone or something just vaguely pointing out things he would consider eating and leaving her to actually pick them up off the shelf, hahaha.

Nick buying things to help ppl <3333333 I feel like Lex doesn’t even think in those sort of terms, for the most part, bc again he was born rich and it just...doesn’t occur to him smdh But omg honestly either grocery shopping adventure is gold i loVE I can totally see either!!! And I can also see where both happen on occasion???? lIke, maybe Sally does most of the shopping herself but then sometimes she’s like ‘ur coming w me bc you need to meet w me about x document to me and i need to shop + you nEED to get out of the office today and you really, really need to vary your diet and i want to get you to experiment w things you might like’ etc or whatever hahaha so honestly either is v possible as far as Sally goes hahahaha
