Man I think what is so delightful and adorable about Deet and Rian is that their romance story just encapsulates everything about falling in love that makes it as exciting as it is. Like the eyes over the fire??? I swear I got butterflies FOR Deet, and the subtleties in her reaction are just PERFECT. The kidding around, *looks at the skybaby*, even the uncertainty at the start of Ep. 10… the list goes on. It all comes together to make a beautiful gelfling love story yet something so very relatable and human too. The whole thing is just,,,, I don’t have words. StoneGrot Week Day 4: Parenting(?)

Okay, so I’m kind of cheating on this one because no child has been born yet, but for this prompt I wanted to do something a little more lighthearted and fun since the series can be a bit of a downer (Not that I mind, I live for this kind of emotional storytelling). That, and people have made such great contributions that are far sweeter than I ever could with depicting Deet and Rian actually caring for their child, so please forgive me and enjoy.

throwing it out in the universe because I wanna refer back to it when I’m proven right: Deet and Rian are going to end up being Kira’s parents. I think Jen’s parents are sort of background characters that we haven’t been paying as much attention to, but I’m pretty sure they’ll go the plot twist way, something along the lines of them handing baby Kira over to Brea so she can make an escape while Deet and Rian try to hold the skeskis off.
