absoultely unneccesary and uncalled for three days grace discussion

hot take maybe but? three days grace isn’t as good with matt walst. seriously i don’t really like any of their new stuff and honestly there’s such a huge disconnect when i listen to them because when i hear matt sing all i hear is my darkest days. as someone who listened to both 3dg and mdd back in their heyday it just doesn’t really work for me? idk but now it feels more my darkest days-esque than 3dg-esque. even worse, it feels like a totally different band to me in some aspects. 

plus honestly transit of venus isn’t that great of an album even tho adam gontier was on that album lmao. like there’s some real bangers like “chalk outline” and t”ime that remains” (not really a “banger” but i love it) but for the most part? the rest isn’t all that great. like, i like the songs but they could be better. kinda like a take them or leave them type of thing.

also idk if this is another hot take but their self-titled album is, imo, their best. like, i guess everyone’s first 3dg album was one x and it was good and really fed into everyone’s goth feelings but honestly? i prefer the first one. it feels a little bit more raw i guess? it feels like it goes harder with the guitar riffs and i really appreciate that. also, “are you ready” should have been on the normal version of the album, and not the deluxe. probably my fave 3dg song to be completely honest.

one x has its merits as well. its a darker, moodier album that emo me really liked, but it also provides insight into gontier’s time in rehab (where he actually wrote most of the songs). its a great album all-around, really. “never too late” is still a very, very good song and i so appreciate that song. “time of dying” is also, imo, an eternal banger.

life starts now is also a great album and i really like it too because it starts to go hard again? still quite melodic, which i can appreciate, but its harder with the guitar. “break” is still a banger too lmao.

so yeah idk why i wanted to talk about this right now, out of the blue lmao. i’m tempted to give 3dg another try but it just doesn’t seem to stick with me these days.

casual psa: please don’t buy either the lg v10 or the g4. although i own both, my v10 just got the bootloop today and since i bought it secondhand and have some “cosmetic damage” aka a small but pretty noticible scratch, they probably won’t cover it under warranty. i thought it probably wouldn’t happen to me but it happened to my v10 that i bought refurb on ebay in november. my lg g4 is not properly unlocked with my network and i can’t use it with ting, and plus who knows how long the g4 will last??? i’m just gonna cut my losses and buy a new phone. sorry about this weird rant thing, i’m just pissed bc i loved both the g4 and the v10 a lot but this shit happens. rip.

ruined my afternoon too since i had to stop watching nascar and i need to browse for phones and now i cannot enjoy anything right now.
