for all the other yans with jealousy problems sigh: if someone is getting too close to darling (platonically or romantically or however), what would be the best way to drive a wrench in that relationship?
i mean, depending on the circumstances, i have a few ideas as to what could happen that would do the relationship in (circumstances as in the character/background/reputation of the unwanted person in question, what environment/place they interact in, what activities they do together, the shared interests or traits that brought them together in the first place, the friends that the unwanted person has, etc.)
you can answer by picking your fav idea out of these or explain your own, but to make it clear what i’m asking for, i don’t really know how one would go about making these things happen in the first place 😓
causing one person to say or do something that goes completely against the other’s values or agitates them/makes them uncomfortable in some way, causing conflict > irreparable drift in the relationship
something similar to the above but instead of an argument, one person would just run away from/ghost/avoid the other. which one to aim for depends on the kind of person you’re dealing with
if not to darling, the third party doing something totally unacceptable > stories and rumors spread > everyone hates and is disgusted by or afraid of that third party now > darling jumps on the toxic gossip train and also loathes them and leaves them or just leaves cuz of the peer pressure
the above but instead of making the third party the villain, do it to darling! as satisfying as it could be to watch some thief’s life fall apart and completely void and shit all over whatever connection they had with darling, this method would prevent most any connection to darling from happening in the first place. plus if you’re the only one who accepts, chooses to trust and stay with, and is there for darling, you’d be pretty much set for life 💍
whatever place/platform/class/extracurricular they were interacting at becomes inaccessible or corrupted in some way; darling weighs the pros and cons and finds that going to that place is not worth it and they lose their main source of contact with the third party. of course, this would only COMPLETELY do the relationship in if they didn’t meet outside of that space, but at the very least it could be a good start for causing rifts.
