I saw your post saying you don’t like lemon drop Jongho😢 Then I got curious. Do you have a top 10 or top 5 favorite Jongho looks?
okay let me defend myself here first.
this is NOT a bad look by any means. but ive never been a huge denim on denim lover, i dont think the hat does him any favors, and overall its just. kinda plain? the denim is so clean that it ends up being uninteresting, at least the other's light wash SEEMS distressed or has been patterned in some way. the overall silhouette is also boring. i want that man in dark wash denim again, just not HEAD TO TOE! i love other lemon drop era looks, but the full denim outfit from the concept photos just doesnt feel good to me.
this is a much better look and its not JUST because its mostly black (although that is always a way to win extra points with me). this look feels much more casual and relaxed. less like someone dressed him and more like he dressed himself (even though i know he wouldnt pick either outfit if left to his own devices). but the more open styling of the over shirt already makes the same outfit structure much more relaxed and pleasing to look at. the graphic tee adds visual intrigue. the less stiff fabric makes the outfit look something that has been worn before, maybe even frequently! and that makes jongho seem much more comfortable even if he isnt. even the rolled sleeves rest at the same spot on his arms but looks much less strange here. finally im a sucker for a necklace and the watch band matching the outfit.
and if im completely honest with you? while the makeup is ICONIC, the only reason i even like the white and denim concept the others are wearing is because ateez looks so good that even i cant complain that much. if you put ANY of those looks on a normal ass person? i would NOT like it. id say theyre well constructed and well fitting outfits, that theyre simple and clean and its hard to go wrong with it from a fashion perspective. but oh my god it is NOT for me. i dont like white, i dont like light wash, no matter how well fitted (and GOD are they well fitted)

my favorite jongho looks!
now, i dont have a like. pre existing list. but ill give some of the best looks i know of and have saved in my phone (mostly thanks to my beloved @dailydosejongho's diligent posting). i will 100% be cheating by grouping some looks together based on what i like about them. this will probably be less analytical than the section from above simply because its easier to complain than compliment.
these are not in a ranked order
look, you put him in black and youre setting yourself up for an easy home run with me. all these looks would be good in other colors, no doubt. but the black knocks them into the next stadium two towns over. if you dont really get why these are SO good for me? go look at what i wear on a regular basis (yes i used to be a hongjoong bias. look im a homie hopper at heart but im pretty sure im stuck with jongho until the end of time now. not that im complaining 🖤)

HE IS FUCKING GLOWING. he looks SO cinematic and SO stunning. im so obsessed with this that the umbrella photo is my fromm background for him. genuinely takes my breath away every single time
i have elaborated at length on this already. that post also explains why you wont find any of the more skin exposing jongho looks on this list despite always being incredibly grateful for when he does show skin.
putting aside the fact that jongho x mingi is my biggest ateez ship by a mile and a half, this look works for a NUMBER of reasons.
obviously the brown hair had us all in a fucking FRENZY but this outfit and his new phone case compliments the hair BEAUTIFULLY. i get lots of black which is always a treat, the color of the graphics is much closer to his usual tone preferences while also being a color i really love
at the risk of making this more about mingis collab than jongho: this color is STUNNING. im not a person who really likes brown, if that wasnt already obvious, but this color looks like the tones you get when you bleach a black shirt. it IS brown, it IS tan, but it has a warm orange undertone that hits me JUST right (if youve seen my art you know what i mean)
the fit is loose and comfortable which makes him seem like he is both cozy and comfortable to be cozy with. the various brown tones are making his skin GLOW yet again. and even the necklace hes been wearing consistently for months now is complimented by the silver aglets on the hoodie strings. NOTHING in this look is without a compliment.
before we get to the end i want to shoutout to whatever category this is. i love early jongho a whole lot and idk what it is but he fuckin HITS
fifth and final: MY DARLING BEAR
obviously i have to shout out every time jongho just goes full bear. when his hair is messy and he looks sleepy. when he wears literal bear ears. when he has paw gloves. when he is just the coziest and cuddliest mother fucker ive ever seen in my life.
not only is bearho OBVIOUSLY on brand, which makes it hard to resist, but bears are my personal favorite land animal and have been since i was young. my family has always represented ourselves with bears, my fathers favorite animal of all time was a bear, i just fucking love bears. i was destined to love bears and jongho does NOT escape that simply because he happens to also be a human.
