Ahmed's dad was supposed to undergo another round of chemo today on the 22nd of February. The situation was looking bleak because we could not raise the funds on time and Ahmed was afraid the hospital would not be able to postpone the treatment.

However, this morning Ahmed messaged me to say they have postponed his dads chemo by 2 days. He will now need the money by the 24th of February. That does not leave us much time, but we have to try.

The full cost of the treatment is $780. So far, we have managed to raise $436, which leaves $344 left.

Ahmed's account was terminated earlier this week and he is unable to reach out to people himself. He is trying to get the ban appealed, but right now we need your help to share this post because Ahmed cannot do it himself.

Most importantly, we need people to donate. Please donate if you can spare anything at all. If we cannot raise the money in time, I do not know if the hospital will postpone the treatment a second time.

I went to the aid south of Rafah, where the Americans hold the aid, and I went to get food, but they opened fire on us and my leg was shot, and now I am disabled. 💔 They put iron in my leg so it wouldn't be amputated. If I don't take the necessary treatment that the doctors prescribed for me, my life will deteriorate and they will amputate my leg. But they performed a very dangerous surgery on me, and after several attempts, the operation was successful. They threatened me that if I didn't take care of myself, my leg would be amputated. 😭😭 I had a simple life, a warm home, and my mother died. She used to fill our lives with light. But the war took everything from us... Our homes were destroyed, our dreams were burned, and all that remained was pain and fear. 😭

Can you imagine that I die and my leg is cut off and I remain disabled for the rest of my life, and I am in the prime of my youth? 😭😭 Can you imagine what it means to me? I am a person like any other human being. I went to get food so that we can live. Every day we die of hunger. The Israeli army started shooting at us and most of the people were martyred. I was shot in the leg, and in my last moments they saved my life by cutting off my leg. But after that, will I die or will my leg be cut off? 😭😭

🕊 Nadin’s Hope: A Mother, A Memory, A Future

Hello, my name is Nadin. I’m from Gaza. I’m a graphic design graduate, a wife—and now, a mother.

I finished my design studies just before the war began. I had dreams of starting a small studio, of creating art that told stories. I used to think about colors and fonts and the future.

Then, the war came. And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.

On October 22, 2023, I learned I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home, killing 25 members—his mother, siblings, nieces and nephews—entire branches of our family in seconds.

We were displaced twice. Everything was gone—home, safety, routine, rest.

A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib, no celebration—not even stillness. But she arrived, quietly and beautifully. In her eyes I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.

Now, our days are shaped by decisions that could dismantle the future we are trying to build together.

Today, Israel’s government is discussing plans for a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City and southern regions. The stated aim: to eliminate Hamas and later hand governing control to allied Arab forces—not Israel—but with no clear path to peace or normalcy.

The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.

Aid remains blocked, water is scarce, and many risk dying of hunger or disease long before future promises arrive.

We Don’t Know What Comes Next There’s no clear path forward—only uncertainty for our daughter’s life and our ability to survive another day.

Ashleigh Walls, who represents the Reed family publicly has already had to put out a statement BEGGING for you sick cunts to not share the footage of Trey's body, because even in DEATH, Black people aren't human beings to you, but fucking entertainment objects.

“On behalf of my family, I ask that you please not share the very graphic video of Trey. For some of you it’s information, entertainment even but for us it’s a living nightmare. At this time we ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this difficult time.”

Ben Crump, a civil rights solicitor, is also representing the Reed family, and is putting pressure on to conduct a full, independent, investigation into the death of Trey; they are going to pursue justice and transparency so that Trey can be properly put to rest, and his family don't go through even more trauma.

His family and the campus community deserve a full, independent investigation to uncover the truth about what happened. We cannot accept vague conclusions when so many questions remain. I stand with this family, and I will lead a team of civil rights leaders and organizations in pursuing transparency and answers for Trey’s family.”

Black people do not lynch themselves, and given the history of hanging publicly and the history of Mississippi itself, there is no way that Trey would've committed suicide by doing that, especially with broken bones; a three to five minute walk from where he was living. Trey deserves justice. Trey's family deserves justice.

“Hello, this is Danielle with an update. I am beside myself with worry and heartbreak for Tareq and his family and trying to make sense of a world where we are collectively allowing this to happen. I am not even sure what to do other than to share this with this community of people who also cares about this family. These are Tareq’s words from today:

‘swear to you, my dear friend, I truly wish for death rather than continuing to live in this world and in this kind of life. I swear, my children and I have been going to sleep hungry for days. I can barely provide them with anything that eases their hunger or gives them the slightest sense of comfort.

Even the most basic items, like flour, cost no less than $500 per sack—and we barely have any food to eat. I feel completely helpless. I truly don’t know what more I can possibly do.

Even za’atar, dukkah, and olive oil—the simplest things to put in a piece of bread—I can’t afford to buy. And if I do manage to get them, we need at least 1 kilo per week because that’s literally the only thing we have to eat with bread. But a kilo of za’atar or dukkah now costs more than $100… and a liter of olive oil, if we find it, is over $50!

I can barely keep up with my daughter Tala’s needs. A single pack of diapers costs $100, and she needs at least three packs every month. She also needs a can of baby formula every week, and now even that costs $50 or more.

No matter how much we spend, it’s never enough. And in the end… we still go to sleep hungry, unable to buy anything that truly fills our stomachs.

Even bread—when we bake it, it dries up after just a few hours. We’re forced to eat it hard and stale because we can’t reheat it. We have no gas, and not even a refrigerator to store food. The most basic parts of life have become impossible dreams.

To make things worse, everything in the market is sold for cash only. And to even get cash in hand, we have to lose 30% of any money sent to us just to convert it.

Today, the Palestine tag is trending on Tumblr — and among the posts is a photo of my daughter, Ronza. A fragile little girl suffering from severe malnutrition, whose story I shared, pleading for help. Her image is now reaching millions of people... but sadly, only a few have responded.

We are not okay. We are not safe. We are living in unimaginable conditions — and tomorrow is Eid al-Adha, a holiday that should bring joy, new clothes, laughter, and celebration to children. But how can my children celebrate when there is no food, no water, no medicine? How can they smile in new clothes when their weak bodies can barely stand?

We are in Gaza — trapped, starving, broken. Every day is a battle for survival.
