She noticed the boy’s waving tail, but didn’t feel it was necessary to pay any mind to it, instead she just went about then noticing on the menu that they had chicken she stood up. “AIN! Cancel the beef bowl I’ll have some of that chicken bowl ThingY!!” Her eyes were bright as a burning flame. “Actually I’ll take two!”
"Aah?" D--Did she just save his ass?
...Looking over to his boss once again, his frown had been replaced with a satisfied smirk. Oh man... that was close. Though he dreadded the idea of having to make two bowls at once... Something bad was bound to happen regardless, but at least he made two sales of the special.
"Oh... uh.. Alright! Thanks! Two chicken specials it is then." He scribbled on a piece of paper, as if he was actually writing, and his tail lingered to wrap around packaged noodles, preparing the ingredients.

The boy's eyes widen as he wakes back into reality. He had admittedly been admiring the girl from afar, as he does with most people and had only recently worked up the nerve to approach her. She stuck out like a sore thumb in this city. Probably the only blonde haired woman he's seen thus-far.
"Oh, no--! Not at all. If anything's happened, it's been a good thing. I met you! Er-- That sounded strange... Nothing happened until I met you is what I mean... B--but I'm not upset about that!" he chuckled tensely.

He is just freshly born in this world, so he has no recollection of who he is, where he is, or how this world works. All he is aware of is his name, and that he's located in some place known as Ibukido, which apparently has seen better days...

And it appears the young brunette was caught off guard by the boy, and it seemed to take a moment for her to realize that he was offering her to try new food. Well, it was her first time at the place, and she didn’t have any idea of what to get. So a small smile slipped onto her lips as she tried to portray herself as friendly— It would be a good idea to keep a good impression if she liked the place and decided to come back any time.
”Uh, yeah, sure! I’ll try, uhm, whatever you just said!”
And for another moment, she’d be a little surprised— not many places she went to would have workers present their names. Well, being honest, this was the first one she had been to that did that. But common courtesy was to introduce herself as well, …right?
”Well, I’m Ruby! It’s nice to meet you, Ain!”
"Y--yeah.. Nice." The boy was in such low spirits it was almost contagious.
Just a few hours ago he had so much vitality, but it seems like everything he did wrong was because he was a 'Faunus'... or at least in the managers eyes.
Lifting his black monkey's tail, he started to write her order down while using his free hands to lift a bowl. He had gotten quite good at using his tail to write... Then again, the boy couldn't actually write. He was just scribbling on the paper to appease his boss.
With boiling water at the ready, he dumped the noodles into the water, and tried his best to recall how to make the dish in question. Returning his gaze to Ruby for a brief moment to force a customer friendly smile, he searched for the chicken stock and other spices... grabbing things that didn't exactly belong in a bowl of noodles.

The boy mumbles incoherently towards the black and red clad woman who sat down at the exact same spot Miss Yang sat at, and the customer before her...It seems like that seat is possessed or something. Anyone who sits there ends up having their noodles burned. It's not his fault at all. Honest...
His boss had to give him a stern talking to, of course it wasn't without a healthy dose of racism. The star was obsessed with being a living being, but he didn't realize there was such animosity between different races in almost EVERY world... Was this really alright?
