Happy New Year! I can feel it in my bones... A sense of purpose and being comfortable in my own skin. Maybe its the fact that I am already five months into my third year living and working in Boston.
It's been a long while since I've posted and I want to change that. This blog will be the place to post my photos and also share what inspires me for both my home and for the store. Today I was inspired by the interior designer, Emily Henderson's blog post: http://stylebyemilyhenderson.com/.
Being inspired by Emily Henderson's post, I would like to share a few manageable New Year's resolutions:
1. Create more "me" time in the morning before I start my day. I read that if we wake up earlier in the day and work out at least 20 mins then we would be more energized throughout the day. When we exercise at night our body wants to continue being energetic and that's when we might toss and turn when we sleep. I like working out at night because the gym is not as busy but I must admit that the times I've gone to the gym in the morning I've felt a bounce in my step.
2. Be more present and organized at home and at work. I am currently working with a professional to help me learn how to manage my time be more organized mentally and physically. Hopefully things I will not have to go searching for something that takes more than a minute to find...!
3. Eat more healthy and go to the gym at least 3x/week. Last May, I did a 14-day cleanse monitored by my cousin Emily (http://www.embracetruehealth.com/) and it was amazing the changes my body went through. I felt lighter and was probably the most fit I've ever been. Since then I've fallen off the wagon but am determined to get right back on.
4. Take back my creativity and become more fluid in my postings. I'm an extremely visual person and can be inspired by the littlest detail. I'm so looking forward to 2014!
