Had this painting of Heron sitting in my files for a bit. Went back and fixed some issues I had with his face and decided to post anyway.

Been in an ink sketching mood recently :0

Gaur (Bos gaurus)
This massive animal lives in the forests of India, Myanmar, Thailand, and the surrounding countries. They both graze and browse, and have been known to eat tree bark for the minerals contained within. Females and males greatly differ in size, with females weighing about 1500 pounds (700kg) and males weighing up to 3300 pounds (1500kg)- surpassing even bison in size! The gaur has also been domesticated, giving rise to the smaller gayal, used as livestock in Myanmar, Bangladesh, and parts of India and China.
Welp, back on my Pel bullshit. We’ll see how far I get on this one >:U
The guy in the foreground is my character, Mikhal. An old friend of Pel’s from her first days in the southern territory. This initial interaction is how the two of them first met. When an injured Pel was caught stranded, abandoned and alone in the Ruanhain Canyon.
She was lucky Mikhal’s group ran into her when they did, she just didn’t know it at the time.

*from the back of the theater* IT'S NOT EVEN THAT RED
say that to his face smh
(just kidding. if buteos love anything its variable plumage and rtha love it more than everyone except b. buteo)
Never got around to finishing this one painting of Pelathiera. Learned a lot working on her attire though :>
Still very much a WIP. Revisiting a sketch page I started on for Yei a while back. I am still overly reliant on teal-blue tones buuuut I think he’s turning out pretty neat :0
This and the next headshot over are showing how his horns come out when his emotions get the better of him. Aka: if he’s to the point of shouting, the temperature in the room is going to drop.
Seems to be bunny in the trough Thursday

Exhausted, Asht simply looked on in disgust as the blue spectral form of Erracor loomed. It shifted silently. Weaving, wending its way through the still air. Its cold, yet familiar, enshrouding presence surrounded him from all angles. He felt the chilled vice of elongated fingers clasped possessively around his shoulder as he turned. Four spiraling horns jutted in a wide sweeping arc from the creature’s brow, encircling the two of them like cage.
The pulsating glow of that ever present orb, the sealed marker of Erracor’s entrapment, danced energetically above his forehead. His gnarled maw split eerily into a jagged grin of almost karmic amusement as he leaned in to Asht’s right ear, “Well,” his voice croaked, “Isn’t this an unprecedented achievement? Ten millennia of status quo, squandered in nearly a century and a half,” he mocked, “You spread your curse to the next generation, Ashtearul. And, evidently, to me…” The spark illuminating the old one’s stare burned with loathing.
——
Thought up an interaction I wanted to recreate between Ashtearul and Erracor. Of course, when karma inevitably caught up to Asht, the old specter couldn’t pass up the opportunity to taunt him.
I used to draw these two so much more often. This needs remedying :0
