"Kakurenbo" was created as the official demo song (second song) for the vocal sound source software "Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku" released in August 2007.

In 2006, I was awarded the Meiko Haigo Prize at the Vocaloid Contest, which was a great opportunity for me.

In December 2021, I was inspired to make a video after I used an iPhone app to colorize black and white photos of my mother and older brother.

All the photos I have of my mother and brother are only in black and white, and I have never met either of them, so in a way I felt like they were "historical (or imaginary) people" to me.

It may not be their true colors, but it was as if a filter had been removed from the world, and I felt a fresh sense of closeness to my mother and brother that I had never felt before.

I asked Hatsune Miku to sing on behalf of my feelings, and I can say that this is another benefit of technology.
