Final goodbye
We made our way to the island in which our men and ships were upon, and they were saddened to see so many men had been lost.
We sailed with sorrows in our hearts
Until our next encounter

Final goodbye

Celebrations and Sadness
We have now reached this point, where we have escaped from the evil Cyclops, however we are in trouble, because as we left the land I laughed and jeered at the Cyclops laughing at his stupidity.
He threw part of the mountain at our boat in which created a wave taking me back to the mainland, in which i yelled to my men to row for their lives as the Cyclops were chasing us.
My silly men yelled at me not to shout at the Cyclops again, for fear they would be driven to the mainland again, but it is I Odysseus, out to avenge my men's death.
I enraged the Cyclops, and he again threw another stone, which instead created a large wave that set us upon our journey.
WE DID IT
Okay so we just accomplished the inevitable
Here's the recount of the great feat of accomplishment!!
He came back, and had drawn his flocks and moved the huge stone covering the doorway again. He milked the sheep and goats, meticulously in order (wondering if i hadn't noticed him conducting his milking in a meticulous manner before or it was only because I was so nervous). Once he had done all this he then snatch two of men again and prepared them for dinner, luckily, he hadn't chosen my other man who was game enough to help me thrust the spear into his eyes.
This was the point when I gained enough courage to walk up to the brute of a monster and utter the words "Here, Cyclops, have a drink of wine, now you have fed on human flesh, and see what kind of drink our ship carried inside her. I brought it for you, and it would have been your libation had you taken pity and sent me home, but I cannot suffer your ages. Cruel, how can any man some and visit you ever again, now you have done what has no sanction?"
I then brought him more and more wine watching him get more and more recklessly drunk, then convinced him my name was nobody, in which he uttered he would eat Nobody after my friends. The wine then set in and he began drunkenly vomiting all over the place, this was my opportunity.
I warmed up the beam to be used as a spear to the point where it is nearly catching fire. We grabbed the bean the 4 men I had left with me and we thrust it into the Cyclops eye and then twirled it around and around taken all out anger and revenge for eating our friends and watched the blood pour out of his one eye, watching him stumble around in his drunken state.
AS we had hoped the commotion caught the attention of the other cyclops who came and asked the monster who I learned his name as Polyphemos
They asked him upon what creature could cause such pain to him, to which he uttered my 'name' Nobody is attacking me.
They walked away laughing, knowing that Polyphemos was now the joke of the Cyclops,
Polyphemos, thinking I was trying to steal his sheep kept his hands spread wide over the doorway (shows his intelligence). This was the next dihemma how to sneak out without being caught.
I watch some of the sheep leave in which Polyphemos did not obstruct them leaving the cave. I decided the best way was to hold on hidden underneath each sheep under the belly attached, I made sure my men were safe then i climbed underneath the biggest one.
Polyphemos now being blinded, lead his sheep out the cave to the yard and we waited till we were not in sight of Polyphemos.
Waiting- (People ought to be waiting on me)
We did it, we have a plan and is just waiting for the stupid monster to come back.
With all the stuff lying around in the cave we found wood in which we could carve into a spear, and that we did.
Now al we are doing is waiting for phase 2, where me and one of my men are thrusting the spears into each eye making the cyclops blind. Obviously getting the creature drunk first, so he will not notice, and we even have the extra detail of convincing the monster my name is nobody in case another creature comes to see what the commotion is about, and being drunk he wouldn't notice that being called nobody is maybe the most outrageous idea ever.
Here the creature comes,
Time to execute this plan
Outsmarted part 2
I waited for my ultimate opportunity. But no, the cyclops just milked his goats and sheep, did his chores, and then he just goes ahead and grabs another two of men and prepares them for supper and consumes my men again.
Maybe the creature gets hungry, Obviously doesn't get to eat alot of meat around here. No wonder he is hungry.
Anyways, after this he led the flocks out the doorway, quickly puts the stone back, and we are unable to leave.
There is only 8 of us left, there won't be long before I too am eaten...
His stupid whistling as he makes his way up the hills, I hate it, I Odysseus will not be outsmarted by a monster!
I think I may have just thought of an idea...
Revenge
This creature is now fast asleep. This is my chance, I grabbed my sword. Then my gaze fell upon the huge boulder covering the doorway. I didn't think that through, I would die and waste away because I would not be able to move that doorway. Dammit, I couldn't rid the world of one less of these hideous creatures.
Cyclops anger
I hate this creature, his strength, his beastiality his non hospitable ways, so uncivillised.
He just grabbed two of my companions, slapped them agaist the ground, and then their brains just splattered against the ground. Two of my best men, all gone by the merciless creature. He didn't stop there though like I expected, he had go his anger out, what more could he want?
He cut them up limb by limb.
Put them in a soup
Ate them all including flesh and bones
I have no words left. He truly silenced I, Odysseus
The ugliest monster
The cyclops, what a name, for such a gruesome monster, he was a large monster, ugly as you could ever imagine, I expected him to bow down to give me gifts that only I such a great human being would deserve so i spoke loudly to him,
"We are the people of Agamemnon, son of Atreus, who has won infinite renown throughout the whole world, by sacking so great a city and killing so many people. We therefore humbly pray you to show us some hospitality, and otherwise make us such presents as visitors may reasonably expect. May your excellency fear the wrath of heaven, for we are your suppliants, and Jove takes all respectable travellers under his protection, for he is the avenger of all suppliants and foreigners in distress."
The monster replied, "Strnger, you are a simple fool, or come from far off, whn you tell me to avoid the wrath of the gods or fear them. The Cyclops do not concern themselves over Zeus of the aegis, nor any of the rest of the blessed gods, since we are far better than they, and for fear of the ate of Zeus I would not spare you or your companions either, if the fancy took me otherwise. But tell me, so I may know, where did you put your well-made ship when you came? Nearby or far off?"
Did this monster honestly think I was that stupid, although I was now terrified of him, I would never give him the satisfaction of telling him where our ship lay, so I just told him Poseidon sunk it.
The Way to the cyclops homestead
We rowed our way to the land, Two of my men were lacking in strength and held back the other men so I threw them overboard. That will teach the lazy men.
When we reached the land the we made land near a cliff face where a cave was embedded in the cliffs, I soon noticed this was a home to one of these creatures, as a huge yard was outside the the cliff, in which looked like a huge yard for his sheep. But this yard had no sheep in it.
We took the boats onshore, in which i left my men there, and chose the 12 strongest to accompany me to meet the creatures. I took wine, which was in goatskin as a gesture to the huge creatures we were about to meet. That wine was a gift to me, so they better take the gifts in good faith...
We approached the cave carefully but then we noticed no creature at home and assumed he was out shepherding his sheep. We saw the tons of cheese and all the young lambs and kids. A few of my men has some silly idea to steal all the cheese and the flock of kids and lambs, and sail onwards. But i instead reminded the men why we made this journey in the first place, to meet the creature, I expected great presents as I mean it is I Odysseus, the all conquering traveller of the seas.
Then we entered the cave expecting to meet the great creature in which would bear gifts upon us for visiting him.
Day 3
As we looked to the land on the cyclops I observed them, I didn't want to be seen, that may have been the end of me and my men..
These creatures were fascinating, I wanted to know more about them, why they cared so much for their flock of sheep, and yet they barely spoke to one another. I wanted to know whether they would be apprehensive towards our presence and whether they would be savage or violent.
As the others slept blissfully, I devised a plan into which I could meet and encounter these cyclops, to learn more about the way they broke.
As the morning came, I rose very early to advise my men of my plan, in which I spoke to these men and utterred the words of "The rest of you, who are my eager companions, wait here, while I, with my own ship and companions that are in it, go and find out about these people, and learn what they are, whther they are savage and violent, and without justice, or hospitable t strangers and with minds that are godly"
They agreed and I set upon my journey to the land.
Idiots
Is it just me or do all the cyclopes care about is their sheep and goats?
They don't speak to one another and yet they so carefully nurture their herd?
This is not normal...
Discovering the land of the cyclops
As I was on my great adventure to return home we stumbled upon a land, in which it was known that these great creatures known as the cyclops resided.
As I ventured around the land I quickly established that there were no farmers, around me, and yet plentiful crops were growing. None of these creatures seemed to be ploughing or tending for their crops. They had grapes growing plentiful on grapevines, and wheat growing for all the eye could see.
The more I searched for counsels, meeting places around this land I realised that there were none, that they just didn't exist, that these cyclops don't have these institutions and seem to keep to themselves. They do not interact with one another and as the day wore on they all made their way back into their own homes with their children and family, and do not gather or have meetings, discussing things.
Do they care about their others? Or do they not?
