good morning. I hope you all have a wonderful day !!
“YOU ARE DEAD TO ME”
“What the hell?!” Hayley snapped right back at Klaus. They had been arguing about this for the last few hours and she didn’t understand why he was being so stubborn. “Whatever, Klaus, if you don’t have the decency to even want to fix this situation then there’s no point in even wasting my breath anymore with you!” She snapped through gritted teeth, not wanting to bother with him right now. “Goodbye, Klaus.” And then she pivoted on her heel and left.
“Pathetic, the way you look at my brother. Just be a woman and tell him. Don’t worry, I won’t get in the way”
Her mouth slightly opened as she processed Klaus’ words. Was he really saying this? Coming from Klaus, this was surprising to Hayley’s ears. “Uh,” she shook her head, looking down to her shoes for just a brief second before her eyes lifted up toward the balcony. Bringing up her hand, Hayley scratched the back of her neck just for a second before she wrapped her arms around herself. “Not now,” she said with a light shake of her head. “Too much time has passed for us, Klaus.” There was remorse and pain behind her words.
“Up for a spot of murder?”
“Oh?” Hayley smirked, folding her arms over her chest as she leaned against the doorframe. “Has someone desecrated the Mikaelson name?” Her heart raced with anticipation just at the thought. What bloody scenario would they get into now? Hayley was very interested in why Klaus was in the mood to kill someone, or something for that matter.
“If you’ve come to moan.. Save it. You’ve got that look on your face, love”
Did he really know her that well? Hayley never loved Klaus, not the way she was in love with Elijah, or even the way she cared for Jackson - things were very different between both hybrids. For her, it was more of a love-hate relationship... and Klaus? Hayley was pretty sure that if she was never pregnant with his daughter, she’d be thrown to the curb.
Opening her mouth, Hayley sighed, bringing her hand up to slick her fingers through her hair as she contemplated even telling Klaus why she was here in the first place. “Vincent says we have a bigger problem, but from your tone of voice and your smartass comments, I’m guessing someone else already beat me to it.”
“Hope will be safe with me”
Hayley was hesitant at the thought. Hope staying with someone other than herself during this time. But then again, Klaus is her father -- and she had no reason to worry.
Perhaps it was just her motherly instinct that coursed through her veins which caused her to be anxious about Hope’s safety, no matter who was with her. “You’re right, I shouldn’t be worried. Freya knows what she’s doing and Hope will be safe with you until I get back.” Hayley turned to leave before she faced Klaus again. “But if anything happens to her, I will rip you limb from limb.” Before leaving, Hayley leaned over and gave her daughter a chaste kiss on the head.
Reblog if you are willing to write in-depth, significant, and valued FRIENDSHIPS.
There is so much focus on romantic/sexual relationships lately. Friendships are incredibly important for characters too, and deserve as much love and attention as romantic/sexual relationships.
also if you’re cool with pre-established relationships/dynamics where we skip all the awkwardness of starting to roleplay with someone new and jump straight to plotting a little and tagging each other in stuff hmu
Reblog if your inbox is ALWAYS open for random asks, even if you haven’t reblogged any meme
He followed her closely as she turned and walked away, not wanting to allow her the chance to get too far away from him, to let the moment escape. He sat near her, lifting an arm to stretch along the back of the couch behind her and moving the other to rest on her knee, where his thumb rubbed slow, soothing circles.
He stayed silent as she spoke, not wanting to be rude and interrupt. Not to mention he desperately wanted to hear what she had to say. Considering they seemed to be words he’d been wanting to hear for years. Words he was sure he never would. At the sight of her tears, the hand left her knee and he slowly pushed hers away, swiping his thumbs along her cheek.
His words failed him in that moment. He’d been alive a thousand years and never had he been so lost for words. The emotions had welled up in his throat and blocked anything from coming out. A fear of certain death lingered at the door and he wasn’t quite sure what to say at a time like that. So he didn’t speak, instead, he gently tilted her jaw up and leaned in, slowly connecting his lips with hers in a deep kiss.
Any slight movement from him caused Hayley to stop breathing as she anticipated what his next move would indeed be. From the corner of her tear filled eye, Hayley watched his arm stretch across the top of the couch where they were now seated. And his other hand, resting upon her knee gave the little wolf butterflies which erupted wildly in her stomach just at the slight touch of his fingers. Did Elijah know the torment he caused her? The wanting and need to be with him with every passing breath as her lungs filled with air? That he was the only oxygen she needed to breathe to survive in this vile world.
Hayley hated herself for loving him so much when Jack was alive. She tried so hard to be the alpha queen the crescents needed while she was united with Jackson, but her feelings for this ancient vampire surpassed any love she’s ever thought she’s known in her life.
Her hand fell to her lap when Elijah moved it away so he could wipe the tears from her face. Softly, her eyes closed in that moment as she relished in his sweet, gentle touch. For an ancient vampire, Elijah was always so gentle and careful with her – almost like she was a fragile piece of china that belonged in a cabinet never to be touched. And all the while Hayley waited for Elijah to speak, because there was always something on his mind to say, unless anger struck a chord within him and he needed to think – (Hayley felt that she knew him so well because she loved him so much) but this time was different, he was quiet. Hayley bit her lip, wondering if she’d said the wrong thing, and her head dipped down, looking away from his gaze. It was too late, Klaus was wrong.
And then she felt him tilt her chin up and she caught his gaze then, just a moment before she closed her own eyes and melted into the deep kiss that he shared with her. “‘Lijah,” Hayley breathed against his lips, inhaling him in. Her hand lifted up to the back of his neck as she held onto him, not wanting to let him go, for a fear that he would leave. She had waited for this for such a long time, her heart beat so fast she swore it would burst from her chest.
“Ugh,” Hayley groaned as she pushed her hair away from her face and wiped her mouth. Standing from the floor where she sat in front of the toilet ridding her body of the morning sickness, Hayley flushed the lever on the porcelain bowl as she got to her feet and went to go brush her teeth. She still wasn’t sure if she wanted this baby and considering how Klaus felt about this pregnancy didn’t give Hayley much hope that this would work.
After she’s brushed her teeth and washed her hands, Hayley shuffled out of the bathroom and found herself on the balcony to one of the rooms Klaus suggested she’d stay in weeks ago. Uncertainty filled her veins as she looked out to the city, she still wasn’t sure about any of this. ( @theholyandthedamned
Truth be told, the prospect of offspring meant little to Klaus. He never wanted children even when he was human, but that could be pinpointed to the environment and times in which he grew up. You think things are bad now, in 2011? Try the 900s til 1001. Brutality was a kind word, to hear his parents speak of it. Klaus already had a rather dim view of the world as a mortal and immortality only heightened that pessimism. Why would he want to bring a child into a world like that?
Still, this was the scenario into which he and this young Werewolf have been thrust. The proper and dignified thing to do now, in his opinion, was to make the most of it. Walking toward the balcony, he stopped at the threshold. “Hello, Little Wolf. Enjoying the view? Sounded to me as though you aren’t feeling too well? I can have Sophie Devaraux whip up something to counteract it if you like, even if I have to coerce her.” Rebekah told him to try to be better, that it was okay to care. If anything, he could try. “How are you feeling about this?” The words were tentative, foreign on his lips. He normally didn’t care what anyone felt about anything. Aloofness was his forte, not talking about feelings.
There was a cool breeze that shifted and danced its way through New Orleans at this time. And as Hayley stood there and allowed herself to feel the wind brush against her skin, she relished in the fact that as the wind blew, it also took away her nausea. In the distance she could hear the sound of jazz being played down the street even as the wind passed.
And just when she thought she’d been doing just that, enjoying the view of this lovely room, in this giant mansion, she heard Klaus’ voice from behind. Her head dipped as she slicked her fingers through her dark brown hair and just chuckled at his words. “Wow, Klaus, you could’ve fooled me, I didn’t know you cared all of a sudden,” Hayley’s words were almost as ice cold as she gaze when she turned to face him. If it wasn’t for the intel she said she’d give up on Katherine that night, a one night stand between the two probably wouldn’t have happened. But at the mention of Sophie’s name, Hayley looked away from Klaus almost remorsefully, her hands now wrapped a little tighter around herself because it brought back memories of her trying to kill the baby herself with the wolfsbane she acquired from the Jardin Gris. She wondered if Klaus knew about that? “No, it’s fine. I’ll deal with it,” she said, her eyes glancing down elsewhere to the streets of the city.
The jazz music seemed to get louder as their conversation went forward, and Hayley rested her hands against the wrought iron fence. She lowered her head, not sure what to say to him when he asked her because she didn’t really know. Talking to Klaus like this was different, she couldn’t open up to him like she could with Elijah.

It was a valid thought, one that he didn’t relish in lingering over for too long. Losing her was hard, it was something he’d had to do on a few different occasions, on various levels up to and including death. Facing it wasn’t something he wanted again
“Could have,” he spoke simply, lifting his shoulders in a shrug. “And yet you didn’t. A fact I’m well past grateful for..” he released her arms and instead tugged her in against his chest, resting his head on top of hers as he held her close. “Tell me now, I’m here. This is the safest you and I have been in well over a week. Sit with me, and tell me now.”
The one thing that first attracted Hayley to Elijah was his honesty, along with his loyalty to the people he cared about. He was so different than any other man that had walked this earth, and Hayley wished she hadn’t put him through all the grief and heartache where Jackson was involved. If she could do it over again, she wouldn’t have wasted any time, at least not wait this long.
Her eyes shut carefully when she felt her face press against him, the warmth of being in his arms proved that she was still in fact here with him. Behind them, a fire crackled as it lit up the almost ancient fireplace and among the dimly lit room, it was the only source of light - apart from that of the waxing moonlight peeking through the clouds. Slowly, Hayley pried herself away from Elijah and took a few steps toward the couch to sit down, bringing her legs up to rest against the sofa.
“I lied to myself, this whole time thinking that if I married Jack and we started a family for the crescent pack, we’d be okay, I’d be happy…” Pausing then, Hayley shook her head. “I thought that if I were with Jack then I wouldn’t think of you, that my feelings for you would just disappear… But they never did, ‘Lijah. Because you were always the one that I wanted to be with.” Tugging against the hem of her sleeve, Hayley didn’t bother to push away the strands of hair that fell in front of her face. “I’m sorry…” Her voice cracked as she reached her hands up and dried the tears from her face.

He almost wasn’t sure what to say. Which was a first for the original. He was normally very well spoken and able to diffuse situations with ease. But this was different. She was different. His lips tugged down into a slight frown and he dropped both arms to gently grasp her wrists and still her pacing. “You’re allowed to be afraid…” He spoke softly, validating her emotions before moving on. “But I can promise you that I won’t be going anywhere. Not willingly. I won’t leave you.”
As Elijah grabbed hold of her wrists, Hayley was forced to stop pacing, and she did. His touch always made her heart beat fast. Did he know how nervous he made her? He was right, she was afraid. Everything about this prophecy was weighing on all of them. Hell, yesterday they almost died. Klaus almost died, she almost died. Hayley was scatter brained even as she stood there, not budging from Elijah’s grasp, but it was clear that her mind seemed to be elsewhere.
Klaus was the one who told her that things with Elijah would be okay.
She swallowed and looked up at him. “You’re right,” and then she chuckled nervously and turned away from his gaze. “When aren’t you?” As her chuckle died down, she let herself sit on the arm of the couch. “We almost died yesterday, Elijah,” shaking her head the young mother fought back the tears she felt pricking the corners of her eyes. “Klaus told me to tell you how I felt, how I’ve always felt…and I was going to. When he handed me his phone, I was going to answer and tell you everything,” she couldn’t stop the trickle of tears down her cheeks as she closed her eyes and took in a shaky breath. “What if I never get the chance to again?” Now Hayley lifted her saddened and scared eyes and looked into Elijah’s.

Mystic Falls, that was a place he wasn’t sure if he regretted going to or not. But answers were something he knew that he had needed, and now that he had them? Now that he knew who these people were, and now that a witch that the Headmaster of some magical boarding school knew had cast a spell to figure out his connection to those he now knew were known as The Mikaelson Family? He needed to talk to Phoebe. He’d promised her answers as soon as he found some himself, but first? He’d come to New Orleans to find a woman named Hayley who Alaric had said was apparently the mother of his newly discovered niece.
“Are you Hayley? A man named Alaric Saltzman told me I could find you here.”
The rain had just passed early that morning. Hayley was out already, trying to get her day started. She had a lot to take care of down at the Bayou, but before she went anywhere, she needed something to get herself moving. Coffee usually helped. Today she hoped it was one of those days that it would kick in early. Smiling at the barista for wishing her a nice day, Hayley nodded as she tipped the jar, took her coffee and walked out of the coffee shop. It was just as she walked out when a man who she’d never seen before asked of her name. “Uh, yeah…” she responded with a quirked brow as he continued speaking. “Alaric Salesman?” Hayley asked, her mind working to remember where she’s heard the name before. “He’s not a friend,” she repeated matter-of-factly, making sure this man knew where they stood. “What did he say?” Lifting her coffee cup to her lips, Hayley took a sip.
Writing a love letter to one of your many suitors? Who’s the lucky recipient then? Jackson or Elijah? Don’t tell me it’s me.
