Bio.
Nathaniel was born the younger brother of Nic and Kiera Nichos, a son to proud werewolf parents. When he was little, the wolf curse placed on the crescent pack, meant his mother did most of the child rearing while his father was only present on each full moon. When Nate was 10, his older brother - who he idolised- triggered his gene and became subjected to the curse like his father.
The fact he had lost time with his father and his brother sent Nathaniel on a destrctive path and he was soon causing his mother problems - drinking drugs and sleeping around. He was acting out and his mother was the one who was around to deal with it. Soon after his fifteenth birthday he was diagnosed with Bipolar. Despite his inteligence, he didn’t apply himself and left school with the minimal grades needed to graduate.
A few years after leaving school, Nate was still on a downward spiral, but his actions were no not subjected to his mother to clean up or deal with. It was only when he met Phoebe - a single mother who had gotten out of a domestic abusive relationship that he turned his life around. He became more involved in his families lives again- turning into the doting uncle that could now be trusted around the kids alone and not need a constant eye watching him.
As he looked back on his actions, he apologised to his mother for the pain he had caused her and stood up to protect his new partner and her child from her ex. Soon the aggression and threats became less concerning and less frequent.
All had been quiet for two years when Nate proposed to Phoebe. He had only managed to tell his family the good news, and soon followed up the proposal with Phoebes announcement that she was pregnant with Nate’s child.
But the happiness wasn’t to last. Just after they reached 6 months into the pregnancy and still planning the wedding Nate knew Phoebe deserved, her ex showed up at the house one night drunk. After an altercation, and acting as if he was going to leave, her ex turned at the door, shooting Nate as he hugged Phoebe several times in the back, before going on the run.
On another day, Hope might have thought twice about who was speaking to her. But she was buzzing on the blood she’d consumed, wracked with emotion over turning in the first place, and altogether fairly distracted by everything that was going on. So when she answered it was with an absentminded tone.
“Yeah, you could say that; it’s been a night. The town’s a mess and people are all over, but if you let me know who you’re looking for I’ll tell you if I know where to find them. Or at least give you a head start on it, if nothing else.”
-
Nate watched her and smiled a little. “Thanks... I can see that... something crazy is going on... I mean I was dead and now I’m not... so definitely something crazy...” he admitted watching the female.
After a moment he looked around and then back to the young girl. “Uh...well anyone called Nichols...” he asked the female. He wasn’t to sure if she was actually able to help him, but he figured it was worth a shot.
Getting his children home safely had been top priority the second things had cleared up and while he knew he should’ve stayed with them,” he’d be lying if he said his nerves weren’t completely shot as he sat himself down in a barstool and ordered 3 shots of whiskey, downing the first two with ease before he began sipping at the last one as someone seated themselves beside him. “One hell of a night, aye,” he questioned nonchalantly, not even bothering to cast a glance in the others direction. “Can’t say that’s something I’ve ever expected to experience.”
Despite the reunions he had found himself having earlier in the night, the realisation he was alive again and theat his old life could have been gone again sent the male going towards the way he used to escape - drinking. As he saw the male despite knowing who he was he felt drawn to him and found a stool nec to the other. As he spoke the voice rang familiar to the other. As he turned his head his eyes widened. “Jas...”
The events of the night had left Tara feeling nothing more than spent, her body and uniform adorned in the blood of the monsters and the injured or deceased as she stared in dismay at the aftermath that was left behind. She had long since put a call through to the babysitter making sure she and the kids were okay the moment the phone lines had finally gone through and had since busied herself with ensuring Avery was fine and assisting with those who needed attention when a faint voice broke through her thoughts and she turned, a dazed look upon her features as she gave a shake of her head. “Hmm, oh no, I’m fine,” she mused. “Blood’s not mine, triage is that way if you’re looking for medical attention.”
As he finally reached the hospital still confused about everything he ad been through. He was sure he’d been dead but then he was back in a town he didn’t know. As he heard a voice, he stopped in his tracks and saw his sister in law standing covered in blood and looking dazed. A gasp left his lips before he was able to speak. As he repeated the words she said in her head to another he relaxed a bit know she was fine. As he approached the female, he stood watching her. “Tara...” he managed.
Snatch. Eat. Erase. Hope knew the drill. The compulsion side of things had taken a few tries, but the blonde standing across from her in the alley behind Dr. Salvatore’s office was looking back at her with an eerie calm that couldn’t have come from anything but Hope’s suggestion to not be afraid. It was her first feed since the one immediately after waking, and while part of her was terrified of getting it wrong she had to trust in herself and what she knew.
Leaning in, she sank her fangs into the woman’s neck and drank deeply from her, running a hand through the woman’s fine hair in a gesture that she was sure was meant to calm one of them - which one, exactly, she couldn’t say. It was with a great deal of effort that Hope pulled herself away a moment later, wiping her lips clean with the back of her hand. “Go,” she gestured to the blonde. “Remember, you cut yourself on something but you don’t remember what. Go home and clean that, okay? And change the dressings every day until it’s healed.”
Only as she turned away did she hear footsteps approaching from the other end of the alley. “Sorry, this creepy alley is taken. Please try the next one.”
Nate was still adjusting to being back alive again. He wasn’t sure what brought him back, but he was happy to be back even if it made him have to suffer the reality of his death and not knowing what else happened. As he moved through the town hoping to find someone he knew after hearing his brother and sister had both arrived in the town.
As he saw the female feeding, he was ready to turn not really wanting a altercation with a vampire now. After the girl turned, he tilted his head a little at her familiarity. It took a moment to try and put a name to the face, but being out of the loop and Hope being in Mystic Falls was enough for Nate to not recognise her.
“Well that’s good...I’m just trying to find someone... and the town seemed to still be in the aftermath of something...” he replied to the other.
