ATTENTION ALL BOURBON MEMBERS

Firstly. thank you, ALL for liking the revamp post before the deadline. It was actually everyone and I honestly thought I lost you all. However, there are a lot of changes that will be made to the rp. There will be new characters, new theme/pages, a plot, and an entirely different time period. Instead of BOURBON focus mainly on Louis and his family, in addition to all the wealthy families centering in Versailles, we’re changing countries altogether. 

After a long discussion, the admins determined to change Bourbon to primiary focus on the reign of the English King, Henry VIII during his reign alongside with his wife, Catherine of Aragon. From then on, we will work our way up to the timeline of his death and beyond. We understand that this is a rather huge change from the rp, and we clearly know that.

As for reserving your character, once we lists all the new character houses, current members are able to reserve characters for themselves with their fcs of choice. Whatever is taken, more characters will be added because there will be 8-9 characters reserved who wants to keep their characters. Now, you may rp the new character completely identical to your Bourbon character, but we must say there will be new names ( English instead of French).

Changes will be made tomorrow as a new plot and characters will be created by both admins.

Hello, everyone! Very sorry for the lack of update. The holidays has been a mad house and I was just waiting for everything in my house and family to sort of dying down since I had a lot of people come from overseas. Anyways, I am terribly sorry for letting this basically die out. With that being said, I am probably planning on doing a revamp for the rp. With a new theme, probably a new plot and additional families.

Hello lovely! That is very sweet of you, thank you! I know a lot of hard work has been put into this group. We’d like them to be of Spanish decent, and in all honesty the characters and their biographies are entirely up to you! The only thing that has to be absolutely key is what is detailed under their house: “this house is typically known as the rival family and also favours the Dutch instead of the Bourbons secretly”. I hope this helps clear up a few things for you, but just let your creativity flow with them!

Hello all!

To our players and those possible lurkers! :P We just wanted to wish you all a very happy Christmas and New Year! We hope you all have a lovely time with your loved ones, and tbh eat all the food that you can because that’s what I’ll be doing. During this festive time the dash will become considerably slower as everyone will be spending quality time with other people, but may still be able to pop online every now and again and that is absolutely fine! We totally expect a slower dash around Christmas and New Year so activity levels is not at all a problem for us at the moment.

Is everyone inclusive though? Ive had bad experiences on the dash. Is it cliquey, or does everyone get answered?

We’re one big happy family here, literally. Everyone knows each other and we all plot with each other well. There is no cliquey-ness, thank god. I know what you mean because countless of times I’ve had the same encounter.

We currently have two members on hiatus. Other than that, our dash is moving faster than last week. But little activity as we have is expected as many of our members are college students and they’re taking their semester exams and traveling home. There is always someone online, though!

Lady Adélaïde Céline of Berry. She is 24 years old and is known to be witty and benevolent, but can also be wilful and meddlesome. She looks awfully similar to Sarah Bolger. [ El, GMT, 22, she/her ]

› About Adélaïde Céline

Adélaïde grew up torn between adoring and loathing her brothers. Life proved to be different for you if you were a young girl though she quickly discovered. Though to almost any little girl the extravagant dresses and dance lessons would be flattering, and Adélaïde was no different. She loved the attention that she received and if she wasn’t already getting it the youngest sibling made sure that she got it. But, first of all it seemed that with a bright smile and wide eyes people were more likely to believe you. She learned to use her wits and charms at a whim, and never missed anything in life.

But more importantly so, apparently, it meant different duties as well. At the age of 24 she is still unmarried and unbothered by it. It’s not that she wouldn’t mind being married, she just thinks that life happens at the speed it’s supposed to. Though, over the years all of it seems to have paid off, and Adélaïde has become the young woman that her parents always dreamed she would be. Bright and vivacious she’s still difficult to pin down however, and would rather flash a smile to divert attention from the consequences her tricks.

Duchesse Claude-Marie of Brittany. She is 31 years old and is known to be erudite and charming, but can also be reticent and obstinate. She looks awfully similar to Holliday Grainger. [ Mia, EST, 22, she/her ]

Though her mother’s only surviving heir, Claude Marie was first, and foremost raised a lady. A lady was meant to choose clothes, pay calls, and stay sitting in a waiting room until she was to marry. She understood the lines that were drawn for her and understood even better how to work around them. If a man’s weapon was his sword, hers would be her mind. She excelled in her studies, forming opinions that often left her father questioning what she was being taught, and her mother berating her father for educating his daughter too much. Though she quickly learned to control her tongue, there was no escaping her fate. It was her duty to her family to marry well, and that was what she did. A daughter, wife, and now mother, Claude has met every mark that a lady of her standing must — though that in no way leaves her inclined to be the complacent little wife. Though matured, and more careful about her actions, especially with the growing tensions at court, she will do what is necessary to survive.
