“never gonna happen.” she laughed, wincing immediately after before groaning into the air. hadley hated feeling out of control in any situation. the fact that she was laying in a hospital bed and couldn’t do anything but lay there, or even remember what had happened in the first place, was making her feel ten times worse. the one thing that had distracted her from it all was chandler’s response to her question about his filming. she turned her head slightly in his direction, furrowing her brows together in concern and confusion. she knew him long enough to know when he wasn’t being completely honest with her, even when she was barely herself. “you know, when you rub your chin like that, it usually means you’re lying, but i’ll let you have this one. if i find out you left filming for this though, you are going to have to get me ryan gosling.” she told him, letting the feeling of his thumb running against the back of her hand soothe her. “

chandler frowned deeply at her groan, hating that he couldn’t help her. if he could take her pain away, he’d do it in a heartbeat, without any hesitation at all. once he saw her expression, he knew she saw through his ‘half truth’, but there was no turning back now. yes, theoretically he could tell her that he completely freaked out when he heard the news about her and didn’t think about anything else but getting into the next plane home to see her. in reality, though, there was a zero chance of him telling her. “that’s not ... true,” he mumbled slowly as he shook his head with a disagreeing look on his face, his hand now joining the one that was already holding hers. “uh well, i said except for him.. so uhm, would one of the chris’s be okay too?” he inquired before he let out a small chuckle, “i hope the cia agent listening to this conversation through one of our phones doesn’t take this too serious. or else you’ll have to visit me in jail for kidnapping and human trafficking. --- can you imagine me in jail clothes? one of those orange onesies..” he trailed off, gaze dropping to their hands as he was deep in thoughts before he blinked a few times, eyes back on his friend’s face. “think i could pull them off?”

the  corner  of  the  closet housing  thea’s  shoe  collection  was  one  of  pride  for  remi.  sure,  it  might  be  unreasonable to  any  sensible person  to  buy  so  many  pairs  of  shoes  (  many  of  which  were  designer  )  when  the  child  would  outgrow them  in  the  next  six  months.  “  babies need  to  be  stylish  too  !!  especially  my  baby,  ”  she  defended  herself against  the  many  shoes,  “  plus,  a  lot  of  them  were  gifts. i  think  she  probably  has  more  shoes  than  i  do,  ”  remi  told  the  man  with  a  proud  smile.  leaving the  two  to  figure  out  their  shoe  situation,  remi  disappeared  into  her  bathroom for  a  few  minutes  to  touch  up  the  long  hazel  locks  and  put  on  light  makeup.  returning to  the  duo,  she  stopped when  they  had  come  into  view.  there  was  something so  endearing  about  seeing  a  full  grown  man  sat  on  the  floor  with  a  tiny  child,  how  delicately  he  seemed  to  be  placing the  shoes  on  her  feet.  she  took  it  in  for  a  moment,  before finally  leaving  her  spot  to  join  the  two.  her  eyes  fell  to  the  shoe  choice, taking  them  in  perhaps  a  moment  too  long  before looking  over  at  chandler  with  a  smirk. “a  for  effort,”  she  told  him  gently,  taking a  seat  right  beside  him  to  take  the  tiny  shoe-clad  feet  in  her  hands,  “i  think  you  put  them  on  backwards,  though.”

the boy had never been someone to judge and he definitely wasn’t going to start now. he couldn’t help but smile at remi’s response, entertained by the fact that she thought thea owned more shoes than she did. once he realised they were being watched, he looked up and gave remi a hopeful smile. he was about to ask what she thought of the shoes, but her words came faster and caused him to grin proudly. “why, thank you very much. i was scared you were gonna drop me as your friend if you didn’t like them,” he teased softly and watched as she sat down next to him. “no way! did i really?” his eyes widened at her words, hands dropping down to the toddler’s feet. “are you pulling my leg?” he questioned with a small frown, his eyes travelling down to thea’s feet as well and before she could even reply, he already began taking off the shoes again.

            margot absolutely DESPISES winter. she hates the snow and the freezing cold air that nips at her cheeks – it makes her bones hurt and she’d rather remained buried underneath her MOUNTAIN of blankets than having to go to yet another meeting, but she has about an hour and a half before her presence is truly needed, so she kills off time with her favorite pastime : shopping. usually, margot would have made her appearance known in a luxury store like that of barneys, but she’s UNCHARACTERISTICALLY dressed in a pair of adidas originals sneakers and her hooded off-white shell coat that drowns her petite frame. crazily enough with her disdain for the cold, margot sips on an iced coffee while hidden underneath her hood, casually looking through the store for nothing in particular. a low, audibly ANNOYED groan falls from her lips when her body collides with another, and thankfully, her coffee doesn’t spill. ‘ jesus, watch where you’re going, ’ she exhales, shoving the hood off of her head. ‘ all of this SPACE and you run into me – pay attention to where you’re going, asshole. ’

it wasn’t like chandler hated shopping, but it was safe to say that he disliked it very much. that’s why after about an hour of walking from store to store, he was currently on his way to treat himself to a huge bowl of ice cream. due to the fact that he spent quite a few weeks of winter in canada, he was used to the cold and therefore didn’t mind it all too much. in fact, he actually quite enjoyed it. he usually wasn’t the type to text while walking and when he felt a body collide with his, he instantly knew why. “fuck, i’m so sorry,” he mumbled and quickly put his phone away before looking up, only to find that the person he ran into wasn’t the one complaining. he watched as margot told the stranger off, feeling rather bad so he stepped closer to the petite girl once the innocent bystander began walking away. “i’m the asshole and i wanna apologise to you. it was my fault they bumped into you, i wasn’t looking and ... uhm, are you okay?” he eventually questioned.
