Sunlight beamed through the clouds striking flying dragons that were training high above the training grounds where he sat with a book in hand. His body ached beyond measure, but Emerys wished to see the apprentices progress considering that the current state of the world may lunge them into battle sooner than they thought. A couple of apprentices almost flew into each other and it tore a raspy chuckle from him. “Not a bad escape maneuver especially on a drake.”
a small hand shields her eyes against the midday sun, eyes squinted in an attempt to keep watch on her rowdy apprentices as they raced aloft. they were having a bit too much fun, considering this was meant to be a lesson, but she wasn’t about to ruin their merriment, knowing the darkness of the coming days. the closer the drakes get to each other, her body grew more and more tense, and she’s about to call out to them, when the one suddenly pulls up and shoots off skyward. her body sighs. there’s a strained chuckle at his comment “i would have said foolhardy, but i’ll concede that the move was... impressive.” her words are critical, stemming from concern, but her smile is proud.
