Shima || Bad Blood
To be nervous in a situation like this was understandable, but she couldn’t allow those nerves to get the better of her. Cora had to keep a cool head, ensuring that her judgment wouldn’t be impaired by any sort of panic. She had already dressed for the occasion in black clothes that didn’t constrict her movements, and all that was left was to wait for the other girl to meet her. So while she waited in the guest room of the Mitsuki estate, she took it upon herself to find a sense of peace. Meditation was something Abby had taught her when she had first moved in, and years of practice had turned it into a very effective use of her time. The waters of her mind stilled as she sat on the floor with her eyes closed, steady deep breaths allowing her muscles to relax. There was plenty to worry about in regards to what she and Sylvia were soon to do, but giving in to anxiousness wouldn’t do either of them any good.
The sound of footsteps pulled her back to the moment and she opened her eyes, drawing a deep breath. It was time. Pressing her lips together, she stood and made her way to the door, glancing down to ensure that the dagger she had hidden in her boot wasn’t in a position to hurt her. If or when it became necessary, she planned to use her wand. But should things go awry, she needed something else, just in case. Sliding open the door, she stepped into the hallway with Sylvia. “I’m ready,” she told her, steeling her nerves and summoning her confidence. “Lead the way.”
She summoned their brooms and together they raced through the night towards their destination. She flew silently, checking over her shoulder every now and again to see if Cora was still there. She wouldn't have blamed her if she decided to back out but she had to admit that having someone around was a comfort.
They reached their destination, the roof of an abandoned warehouse at the very edge of the district. "This is it," she said, transfiguring her broom to be a much smaller size. "She glanced at the roof door and narrowed her eyes in grim determination, "stay close to me," she said quietly as she walked towards the door with gentle quiet yet quick steps.
