questioning queer person here with an inquiry about being a lesbian. because im having a mild crisis and dont know what to do about it 😭

my question: can I be a lesbian even if I use they/them? (AFAB, genderqueer)

I’m not a woman, so wlw doesn’t rlly work. I’ve heard the term “nonbinary lesbian” before but I’ve seen people say it’s invalid so im really just not sure. Is this even a label that I could take as my own?

sorry if this is a weird question or im not supposed to ask. I literally searched up “lesbian-official” and came here because I wasn’t sure.

yes you can 100% be a nonbinary lesbian, i use they/them too. gender and sexuality can be complex, and it helps to remember there isn’t really a sexuality out there that excludes nonbinary people (although some people can be assholes about it). if you feel your relationships, attraction, desire and connections are more aptly described as “lesbian” and you find yourself identifying with the experience that accompanies the label, then chances are it’s probably for you
