Not to nitpick, but Miyazaki in the last pic was condemning animation of a monster being based on the movement's of disabled people as being ableist and insulting to the memory of a disabled friend of his- he wasn't being a grump, he was being passionate in the defense of compassionate and respectful behavior towards the disabled. Which is, indeed, very in keeping with his work.
