He knows he’s a freak, but he’s not going to justify that with a response. He’s not even sure how the old man knows he’s a robot but for now Yuujin won’t question it, instead he’ll just keep walking.

Vee returned directly to Chibimon stage and jumped on Yuujin’s arms.
“Yuujin is the coolest and best guy ever!”
“A-are you trying to make me feel bad?!” - Daisuke hissed - “Because it won’t work! You already made me fight Akiyama for your strong bonds of friendship. I won’t fight anyone for you again!”
“Daisuke calls me by blue troll and thinks i’m just a baby and i cannot take care of myself. I can, really. Especially because I’m not a baby.”
“You’re right in the Baby II form. You’re literally a baby now” - he took Chibimon from Yuujin’s arms - “And you need me as much I need you.”
“Oh…”
Yuujin blinked as the Digimon jumped into his arms, laughing softly and giving Chibimon a hug.
“Thanks, Vee! But you know, your partner’s pretty cool too, and he was really worried about you. Even if you fight, he still really cares about you, so next time try talking things out instead of running off on your own, okay?” He smiled as he handed Chibimon back to Daisuke.
“Aw, he was fine.” Astra muttered, resting his hands behind his head. “Let Vee have a little fun once in a while! Musimon and the others ran off on their own once and they were fine! It’s gotta be really boring for them to have to stay hidden all the time.”
“It’s dangerous for them to be in public alone.” Yuujin stated. “Just because it was fine this time doesn’t mean it’ll be fine next time.”

“Yuujin-san….” Suzume’s heart was breaking so hard that she couldn’t breathe for a second. This was the boy that she has a crush on and it was difficult for her to see him in such state. She hold him in her arms, gently and smiled, weakly. “You wanted to protect Haru at all cost. That’s why I like you. A lot.”
“Yeah…but what good is wanting to do something if you can’t actually do it?” He still couldn’t understand how Suzume and the others could be so nice to him after everything he’d done to them. He may have a heart but that wouldn’t have meant anything if he’d actually succeeded in killing Haru, so why did they insist it meant something now? It didn’t change what he’d done.
He needed to get stronger so he could make sure he never hurt his friends again.
“…Suzume-san, thank you.” Yuujin let out a shaky breath, wiping his tears from his eyes before pulling away and forcing a smile.
“I like you and everyone else too… That’s why I have to leave. There’s something I need to do, and it’s something I have to do alone…but I’ll be back. I’m not sure when, but I promise I’ll come back eventually. So don’t worry, okay?”
when all you want is for your favorite character to be happy but all they get to be is dead

“I’m started to think that you don’t trust me or rest of our friends, Yuujin-san. You know deep down that we will do anything to defeat the new evil AI and save you from your fate. Also, please don’t blame yourself for Leviathan’s goals.” Suzume caressed his hair and smiled, gently. “If you do leave, I will find you and bring you back, Yuujin-san. Don’t believe me? Don’t be surprise if suddenly I shown up at your new place in one day. I told you that already, right?”
“It’s not that I don’t trust you, it’s just...” No, that was the problem, wasn’t it? He always got so caught up in wanting to protect Haru, he kept forgetting that Haru had turned into a true protagonist now. He was strong, he’d managed to survive and defeat Leviathan.
Maybe Yuujin was the weak one who needed protection.
“I’m not strong enough...” He whispered to himself, and then fell silent, hugging Suzume tightly and continuing to cry.

“THAT WASN’T YOUR DAMN FAULT! IT WAS THAT GODDAMNED LEVIATHAN THAT FORCED YOU TO BETRAY YOU OWN BEST FRIEND AND THE OTHERS!” Suzume screamed at him, starting to cry as well. “You’re NOT going to die, you hear me!? I’d rather to kill myself than letting you die, Yuujin-san! Don’t give up on yourself! Don’t give up on me, Haru-san and the rest of the group!” Suzume embrace him. “Please, Yuujin-san. Give yourself a second chance. Give us a second chance. We can find a way out of this.” At this point, Suzume was trembling, emotionally.
“And what if it happens again!? What if some other evil A.I. shows up and decides to use me against you!? I won’t be able to do anything to stop it, just like I couldn’t stop Leviathan!” Maybe it wasn’t his fault, but that didn’t change the fact that he was putting all of his friends at risk just by staying there.
He wasn’t a human, after all. Heart or no heart, he was YJ14.
He hesitated at first when Suzume embraced him, but slowly he brought trembling arms up to wrap around her, tears still spilling down his cheeks.
“I can’t...I can’t risk hurting any of you again. I have to leave, I’m sorry...”

“Vee!” - Daisuke shouted and then grabbed the digimon, giving him a bear hug - “I was afraid of you get into troubles!”
“I was just walking around– Y-you’re hurting me–!!”
“YOU IDIOT!” - Daisuke let him go and gave a light punch on Vee’s head - “You think you can go out like this?! What if someone had seen you?!”
“HEY!”
“Oi, kid” - he looked at Astra - “I hope he didn’t do anything wrong. He’s a troll. A blue troll.”
“I’m not THAT evil, Daisuke!”
“...Nah, he was fine.” Astra reluctantly muttered. He might have been annoyed with the Digimon, but not enough to get him in trouble with his partner. “If you guys were looking for him you could have just called me, y’know.”
“I didn’t think he’d be with you,” Yuujin responded, “but I’m glad you kept him out of trouble.” He turned towards Daisuke and Vee and smiled.
“He’s right, V-mon. Some people might panic if they saw a Digimon wandering around. You need to stay with your partner or at least keep yourself hidden.”

“DON’T YOU DARE TO RUN AWAY, YOU IDIOT! If you do, I will find you and take your ass back to us and I will NOT let a stupid evil AI to stop me from doing so, Yuujin-san! Like hell, I’d let you go so easily!” Suzume started to sound desperate now but, she didn’t care. “We’ve forgiven you so why can’t you forgive yourself!?”
“BECAUSE I HURT HARU SO BADLY HE WANTED TO GIVE UP AND DIE!” Yuujin screamed back. He couldn’t hold it in anymore, and finally broke down crying.
“I couldn’t do anything to stop it. I kept attacking him. Gatchmon had to literally drag him out of harm’s way until they got separated and Haru just...stayed down and gave up. He was almost buried alive. I took everything from him including his will to live and I can’t do that again, Suzume! I can’t!” Tears streamed down his face and he had to choke back a sob.
“Haru...all of you mean too much to me. I’d rather die than put any of you through something like that again.”

“Hey better watch you say about yourself, Yuujin-san! I don’t care if you’re a damn AI! You’re my friend! You’re Haru-san’s best friend! You’re Astra-kun’s and Eri-san’s best friend! I can’t say the same for Katsura-san and Hajime-kun but, do you think that we just going to let a new enemy to do whatever the hell they want!? You came back because you cared for your friends so much, Yuujin-san! Don’t you dare lie to yourself!”
“Suzume…” He hadn’t expected her to start yelling at him like that. He fell silent, listening to her and thinking it over. Her words meant a lot to him, perhaps more than she’d ever know, but that was exactly why he had to leave.
“…You’re right, I came back because I cared about you guys, and now I’m going to leave because I care about you guys. Haru said himself that he was sure there would be more A.I.s in the future. I can’t risk one of them taking control of me to hurt any of you. I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself if that happened.” He still hadn’t forgiven himself for the incident with Leviathan.
“I’m sorry, Suzume. And tell Haru and the others that I’m sorry too, okay?”

“Yeah, we will stop the new evil AI and you…I guess.” Suzume wiped her tears away from her eyes. “….Damn it. Please don’t leave, Yuujin-san. How about your best friend? How would he feel if he would knew about you leaving the group? I don’t want his heart to be broken again….”
“I’m sure Haru would be upset, but he’d get over it. He’s a true protagonist now, he doesn’t need to rely on me being there to protect him all the time. Besides, I’d way rather make him upset for a while than risk seriously hurting him.” It was a cruel choice to have to make.
“Maybe...I shouldn’t have come back at all in the first place. You’re all better off without an A.I. that could turn evil again at any moment, right?”

“If that happens, I’m relying on you guys to stop me no matter what it takes, okay? And if somehow I survive I’ll leave so you guys won’t ever have to go through that for a third time.” If he doesn’t leave before it has a chance to happen a second time.
