“Tėtis, you’re back!” Homer gave his father a toothy grin. “Oh..” The boy pursed his lips. School was not all that great today, he had math class and bit a boy who teased him repeatedly. “It could have been better.” he said quietly and lowered his head.

Since he’s always had his issues with connecting with other children he woul not even miss anyone. “I would like that, very much. "I'm certain I won't - But you might be right about this, too." He grinned, showing his pointy little teeth. "Oh.." Homer went quiet for a moment and grinned even more when he realised what that meant. "We have to tell daddy about this when he gets home, I hope he's just as fond of our idea as I am." Homer imagined how peaceful and fun school would be then, learning all the new, exciting things right here at home where he felt safe, from his father whom he loved dearly. "Did you like to go to school?"

Homer bit his lip and chuckled, it sounded funny when Daddy tried to mimic Papa’s accent and his slight lisp. Papa never sounded silly, of course, perhaps because of the way he chose his words. "Sounds good, I hope Papa will be back soon." he smiled and turned back to his homework to finish the last two exercises. "Look, Daddy, I’m done with my homework!"

I did not, I promised not to bite people again, e-..even if they were rude.” Tears ran down his delicate features as he sobbed and hoped they would wash the pain out of his mind. “They were very rude.” He added and sniveled again. "I am very proud of having you and daddy, I don’t understand why some people don’t want me to have you two…" To him, ss young and innocent as he was, it didn’t make any diffrence how many parents one had, or if they were men or women all that mattered was that they all love each other.  "Thank you, Tėtis, I love you very much.”

He holds him and strokes his back. “I know why they are so mean to you. There are people in the world. very very ignorant and hateful people, who think that two men or two women can’t be in love, and if they are, then they are…bad. Those people are wrong. But they spread those ideas onto their children…just like what’s happening with you and those boys. They hate you for no reason other than learned bigotry.” He nuzzles his hair and hugs him. “Homer…I am thinking that we should talk to daddy. Maybe I could be your teacher and you could go to school at home.”

"Yes, but he had to go somewhere and..-" Homer turned his head to the side to get a better look at the big clock in the hallway and attentively studied the cyphers on the clock face. “Tėtis said he will be back in an hour.” He replied, hoping that his Daddy wouldn’t notice that he counted on his fingers.

Will did notice but didnt call him out on it; at least he was trying. “I see…I hope you’ve done your homework, you know Papa will want to check it before dinnertime.” He shrugged off his jacket and hung it on the coat rack behind him.

Homer crinkled his nose. “I have, except for math… Mup- uhm..Mul-..ti-pli-..cation is too complicated, can you help me?” He looked at his father with big, puppy eyes and chewed on his lip.

There was that look. Will mentally winced as his son used his look full force on him. Will couldnt help but fall for it every time; he even witnessed Hannibal fall for it a few times in his presence. Scooping the small boy into his arms he sighed. “Of course, but you must learn how to do it on your own soon okay? Me and Papa cant do your homework for you.” He carried his son upstairs towards his bedroom.

He knew this little trick would get him what he wanted. A wide, satisfied grin graced his face as he looked over his dad’s shoulder while being carried to his room. "Okay, Daddy… I’m sure I will understand and remember it this time." Homer mumured into Will’s neck.

The little boy knew how to do his math homework - He just wanted to spend more time with his fathers.

Once they were inside the room Will put Homer down and fished for his glasses in his pocket. “Alright son lets get to work.” He smiled down at the child before going to his desk and sitting down on the chair, patting his lap for Homer to sit on.

Homer grinned. He liked it when his fathers put their glassed on, it made them look even smarter than they already were. After getting his books and pencilcase out of his schoolbag he climbed on his daddy’s lap and showed him his math homework. "Look, daddy," He said with a frown, "how am I supposed to know what 8 times 6 is?"

“Well thats easy son, look here..” Will pointed at his multiplication chart on the wall. “Just like me and Papa showed you, count all the squares that connect 6 to 8 and when you do you get what?”

Of course, the multiplication chart. He usually tried to ignore it’s existence and pretended that it was supposed to be a very peculiar looking painting. Homer gave the chart an appraising look before he started counting. “Uhm.. 48?”

Will smiled hearing the right answer and ruffled his sons hair again. “Good job. See how easy that is?” He teased followed by a light chuckle.

"It is, but it’s not fun…" he sighed and wrote two scribbly cyphers into the blank space on the sheet and began to solve the next exercise. "What’s for dinner today?"

"No silly, you can’t eat turtles. C’mon, how about we go out for steaks and milkshakes, hm?" he grinned, grabbing a jacket and giving it to his cold looking son, ruffling his hair slightly. "Who knows, maybe you’ll find a turtle while we’re out, you could take your own stray home, start a family tradition" he teased, looking around the messy kitchen for his car keys.

"F-.. Hell yeah!" Winston put on his jacket and left the zipper open, for reason parents would never understand, and sniffed with amusement. "But turtles live for like… 5000 years, dad.." He tilted his head to the side and squinted his eyes. It took him a moment to realize that his dad was joking, then he started laughing. "Can i drive?"

"Mhmm, sure they do. Turtles are cool! I had a little turtle when I was your age, named him Yurtle, like the silly book." he grinned, rolling his eyes at the jacket left open. "It’s cold you goof" he fussed, stepping over and zipping it up for him, before dramatically getting a look of terror on his face. "Do you mean to ask me if you can try and kill me mister learner’s permit?” he teased, laughing and kissing his cheek. “Course you can puppy, at least unless you wanna go to a place in the city, still think the roads are too busy for you just yet there. But if you pick a diner than it’s all yours.” he smiled, dangling the keys before him.

"Oh my god, Daaaaad,” Winston groaned but left his jacket the way it was. Most of the time, he really enjoyed it when his dad fussed all over him like that. He’d never admit it openly, of course. Winston widened his eyes in shock as he heard what Will said about his driving, could anyone believe his father’s nerve?! ”Excuuuuse me, I’m an excellent driver, have you seen me playing GTA?” He asked in all seriousness and huffed. “It’s only like a ten minute drive to the Wolftrap Café, we’ll survive it.” The boy grabbed his dad’s car keys and spun the keyring around his index finger. "Let’s hit the road, Turtle. My stomach is about to digest itself."

Will laughed at the irritated groan coming from his son’s mouth, grinning and just rolling his eyes right back, knowing he wouldn’t be complaining later when it was cold out. 

"Ah yes, forgive me master of the GTA, your mighty excellence at stealing cars and escaping from the police has convinced me of your strong virtue and honorable nature" he grinned, bowing to the other playfully

"As you wish, Puppy. You make it sound like I never feed you around here, people are gonna think I’m a terrible parent" he huffed, ruffling his hair and checking that all the dogs were alright, before walking out to the car, settling in and waiting for his son to come out. Teaching Winston to drive at first had been…nerve-wracking to the single parent, especially since he tended to fuss and dote on his baby boy, the experience of teaching him about the big scary open road wasn’t exactly easy for Will. He’d been more strict and overbearing than some parents, but he was proud to say that Winston was a much safer driver than most of his class-mates….he just hoped the teen realized it was all in the name of love, he tried his best to be a single dad, but sometimes he had his doubts.

Yes, his dad tended to be a bit of a clucking hen sometimes, but Winston did not mind, not all too much at least. It showed him how much his father cared and he couldn't be more thankful. "I'm hungry like 24/7... The only thing people could blame you for being a terrible parent is that you don't have an essembly line with endless amounts of food that feeds me all day," He winked and walked outside. "Hey, uh.. What color is our car supposed to be?" Winston asked curiously before he got into the car, looking at the indefineable shade of grey of the vehicle. Knowing the actual color wouldn't change anything since he's never seen any, but the curiosity was there.

He kissed his son’s hair and hugged him close. “Oh?” He strokes his hair back and cuddles his young son in his arms. “What happened? Does your tetis have to go beat up someone for you?” He teased softly, stroking his cheek.

"They teased me again…" He hugged him tightly and buried his face in the fine fabric of his father’s suit jacket, fighting against his tears. He did not want to cry, nor did he want to stain his father’s suit. ”-..for having two dads. I don’t think they will ever stop, Tėtis..”

To make those bigoted little boys stop hurting my perfect son.
