I'm really sad to see this RP go. It's been a great ride to be on, seriously, I've never been too into Disney RPs because most of them are badly done, but the admins made this amazing af and there definitely won't be another RP like this. I'm going to miss playing Alice so much, and seeing all of you on my dash all the time. You're all seriously talented writers, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to play out this plot with.

Phoenix’s neutral expression twisted into a frown as his brows furrowed. He didn’t jump when she slammed her drink down, just glanced down to see if it had broken before he looked over at her. “Me? You’re the one who dragged me out so you could have a drink. Why can’t you be sad at home like the rest of us, Alice? I can’t leave you here. Lest we forget what occurred the last time I did.” She was shot, he had to rescue her from underneath a tree. “He’s my priority. That’s what parenthood is. So yeah, I do need to go home at reasonable times because I’m trying to adopt him. I’m trying to be a parent, Alice. I lost one of my only friends and I’m going broke trying to care for my family. I can barely pay the fees that come with this. Can you take it down a notch? I’m hurting just like you are. Just better at hiding it.”

"Because I don't have as nice an assortment of drinks." That was a lie. She had a very nice collection of wines at home, aged wines at that, but she hadn't felt like wine tonight. "I know that, but you could just ask instead of saying it like an ass. I know he's an orphan! You could've gone "hey Alice, I need to go tuck in my family, can I see you get home safe?" would have have been so hard?" Alice sighed and rubbed her face with her hands before entangling her fingers through her hair, staying like that, head bent, held up by the grip of her hands in her hair. "How much would you need for Ryan?" She finally asked, after she'd straightened back up again. "I can write you a check when I'm sober." She said, knowing she'd be having a few drinks at home. Maybe with her friend. "Just give me an estimate."

"Okay. Well, I’m a husband and a father so I — " He looked at his phone before he continued on. "I need to get home to put them in bed. Do you think they could read your hand and remind you that one of your employees left behind an orphan that I’m currently caring for?"

Alice sucked in a sharp breathe, her anger and grief stirred by the mention of Kathryn's son. Of the mention of anything related to or being Kathryn. She slammed her glass down on the counter and narrowed her eyes at him. "Are you fucking kidding me? Using the kid as some sort of play? I know he's in your care, I know he just lost his mom. Why do you think I'm in here in the first place? Because I'm celebrating? Go home if that's what it takes for you to get some fucking sense knocked into you, before I do it myself."

Artemis recoiled quickly at Alice’s words, picking up xir drink as the bartender delivered it. "I’ll get the next one." Xe offered.

"That's not necessary, darling. Consider it a 'nice to meet you' present and whatnot." She smiled at the girl and picked up her drink, although she didn't much feel the smile as much as she would have any other day.

Phoenix had remained silent throughout her first drink but once she ordered a second, he sighed and looked over at the woman to his right. “Any reason in particular you just had to come here?” The bodyguard asked as he declined a drink offer from the bartender. He still had a long night ahead of him.

"The free palm readings, obviously." She replied sarcastically with a roll of her eyes, before she went ahead and downed her second drink.

"Ah." Artemis gathered what Alice was getting at, watching as she easily got the attention of the bartender again. Artemis was surprised when Alice offered to pay for xir drink, quickly turning towards the bartender.

"Vodka please." Xe ordered, preferring xir drinks harsh and simple. "Thanks." Xe turned to look at Alice again, a look of mixed gratitude and relief written across xir features.

She ordered another drink for herself after xir had placed xir order, and she turned her eyes back toward xir. "Oh don't look at me like that, darling. It's like your looking at me like I'm your savior or something. It's just a drink."

Artemis nodded, folding xir arms on the bar in front of xir. 

"If you don’t mind- yes. The bartender likes you." Xe looked towards the bartender that had just dropped off Alice’s drink without giving Artemis so much as a second glance. The bar was busy and Artemis understood, not minding so much. Xe wasn’t in a rush like it seemed Alice might be.

"Hm, pretty sure he likes the tip more than he likes me." She smiled with a tilt of her head, insinuating that she came here often enough for him to know how well she tipped. She took a drink as she waited for the bartender to glance their way, and signaled him over when he did. She turned to smile to xir, "well, what'll you have? First drink's on me." She offered, feeling uncharacteristically generous.

Avoiding Alice had been essentially easier that Jon had thought. After spending two days hiding in Philip’s apartment he had finally moved back into his own. The last week or so he only left when work demanded he come in or when the groceries were too low. Jon was terrified of his own shadow, even if he didn’t show it outwardly. Having failed in saving Kathryn, he understood how deep of shit he would most likely be in. Kathryn had been important to Alice and it had been his job to protect Kathryn and her son. His place within in the Merveilles was hanging on by a mere thread. The not knowing his fate was what finally drove Jon to seek out Alice. Once he did find her, his mouth pulled down in a frown. She was drinking and he could probably guess why. Still, he approached her and slid onto the stool next to her. “Care if I join you?”

Alice looked up from her drink, recognizing the sound of a familiar voice. Her anger flared as she noticed who was standing in front of her, although her more rational side knew she shouldn't be. She needed someone to throw her anger. She turned her eyes away from him and brought her drink up to her lips, "does it matter? I cared for you to keep Kathryn safe and look where that got her." She took another swig of her drink before setting it down loudly on the counter.

Artemis was trying to find a place at the crowded bar, looking to order a drink. Xe found standing space, leaning against the edge of the bar and waiting to get the attention of the bartender. Xe looked over at the young woman next to xir as she ordered another drink, the woman having no trouble at all getting the attention of the bartender.

"Are you trying to outdrink someone here or just someone in your mind?" Xe asked.

"Probably both." She gave a short smile at xir, exhibiting her usual charm, although her heart wasn't all that into it. "Would you like to join me?" Alice asked xir as she held up her drink to xir, noticing the absence of a drink in xir's hand.

Alice took a long swig of the drink she'd ordered for herself --the strongest drink they had, she'd asked. Enjoying the comfort of the burning in her chest as the liquid made it's way down her throat. She was drowning herself in alcohol as she usually did to stop herself from thinking on terrible matters of her family life, letting the temporary effects of alcohol sooth her for the night so she could return to her anger in the morning. Having only just started, Alice ordered herself a second drink, heading in for a long night.

Andy looks around her, putting her hand on her forehead, a worried look on her face. “BALLS.” She huffed, looking around her for a second. “I’ve lived here for years. How in the mother of fuck did I get lost?”

A fairly large box wrapped in festive colors sat on Alice’s chair, a small envelope is placed on top of the box.

I hope you enjoy my gift because trust me, a lot of thought has been put into it. It was also pretty expensive  I would write something sappy but you of all people should know how much I dislike that. Anyhow, do stay safe and have a great year!
