——— ʙᴀɴsʜᴇᴇ:
“Yeah, doofus — they would’ve anticipated your every move.” Noah mimicked the advice and while she managed to sound stern, she was by no means serious. Neither had she come to train because she only enjoyed sweating during other circumstances. She was bored. To continue her little game she crossed her arms and leaned her weight against the helpful man rather than the opposite door frame. She was small so she figured he could handle it. If anything he’d get mad but she was used to any possible reaction to her little antics. “You should be like five years ahead, think about your future spouse and kids and mortgage and the grey in your hair — that’s how you kill a man. If that’s what we’re trying to do.”
He gave an exasperated huff of his chest as the younger mutant mimicked his own words. Green eyes shifted their gaze from the mutants sparring together to the blonde haired mutant stood beside him; Noah, or Banshee as she was known by some. Noah leaned on him, and Luke’s brows raised, cocking his head to the side with an incredulous look in his eyes. She was leaning on him. She was actually leaning against him as if he was a human pillar. He pressed his tongue against the inside of his cheek, clearing his throat with a frown. If she wanted to use him as a leaning post, then Luke was more than happy to give the younger mutant a surprise demonstration of his ability. He dipped his head, biting back a smile as he felt the familiar tingling sensation spread through every fibre of his being as his particles began to vibrate at an inhuman speed that allowed him to become incorporeal. He felt himself coming undone, each particle moving more and more rapidly until each one was humming in a unified buzz. The next sound was simple, the familiar thud of what once was a girl leaning against a pillar. Falling like one herself.
❝ Need a hand? ❞ He asked in a deadpan tone of voice.
