“see, this is why i’m never ever skating with you again. i’ll go skating with someone else. maybe milena’s free.” aimee hummed. of course, she was joking. aimee probably couldn’t skate at all compared to an actual olympic figure skater. honestly, who was she fooling? “maybe i’ll see if my kid brothers want to go, i could probably skate better than them.” aimee shrugged her shoulders, nodding–and of all her friends, those were the two who she probably could skate around, the literal children. she watched the video, cringing. so the brunette focused on her friend’s reaction, and rolled her eyes. “okay, where’s some wipe out video of yours, huh, zaleski? make me feel better about myself now that you’ve gotten a good laugh.”
hal answered aimee with a shrug, mustering the most neutral reaction to mention of his estranged friend that he could come up with on short notice. “i don’t get how that would be better than going with me,” he commented coolly, “okay, but what if you take your brothers to go skating with you because you think they’ll make you look less shit at it, and then they wind up totally skating circles around you ? ” hal felt as though he had made an enormously good point. “then what ? psh.” he let out a small scoff and shook his head as aimee requested videos of him wiping out. “what makes you think there are any ? ”
