eddie & matty.
❛ have you ever tried asking politely ? i do believe the first thing you said to me in my office was i’m not here for any of that no comment bullshit, i just need a couple of answers. ❜ the smile on matthew’s face was nothing less than teasing as he pressed a kiss to eddie’s forehead and wrap his arm around his shoulders. the pout made matty laugh as he watched eddie’s eyes sink down towards the cups of tea. gently extending them towards eddie, matty nodded, ❛ the one closest to you is yours. made just how you like. ❜ taking a sip of his own tea after eddie took his, matty asked, ❛ would you like to come back to my office with me ? i’m about to go get briefed on a bunch of flying teddy bears who have gone missing in muggle london. ❜
eddie rolled his eyes at matty’s statement, his smile only widening at the memory. that was exactly how he first met matty, but still, did matty really have to call him out like that? “hey, in journalism, that’s how we get things done. most of the time, anyways,” eddie said with a laugh before taking his tea graciously, pressing a soft kiss to matthew’s cheek as a way to thank him. he nodded at the question, matthew could have asked him to go on an impromptu trip and he would have gone. “flying teddy bears? you should have told me sooner,” he laughed as he took a sip of his tea. “maybe that can be my story for tomorrow’s paper: teddy bears wreaking havoc in muggle london.” it was only a joke, as over the years, eddie wouldn’t use matty in his stories, considering now it would definitely be a conflict of interest. “but yes, love. it’ll be a nice change of setting compared to the daily prophet headquarters,” eddie answered, as if he didn’t spend more time in matthew’s office than his own.
