finn-mikxelson:
“As bleak as it may sound that is our reality, is it not?“ He remarked with a short shrug of indifference. Thoughts drifted momentarily to that of Sage at her next comment. He wanted to believe that, but time had taught him otherwise. “I would have agreed with you once upon a time, nowadays I’m not entirely sure. Nothing has it’s benefits, and lack there of heartbreak.”
“you live in the world of your choosing. some things that happen are out of our control, but how we respond to them is completely up to us.” sasha was never one to back down on something she believed in, especially when it came to love, passion, beauty, and pleasure and she could never quite put her finger on it. “so it sounds like you have experienced it, which means you must have had someone in your life. the pain is excruciating, i’m sure, but it reminds us that there is something more worth fighting for.”
ofrisingtides:
she gave alight smile at the suggestion of it. it did warm her a bit, didn’t ease her guilt but it did make her feel slightly lighter. she would of thanked the girl for saying so but that would lead to the part where she asked why she felt guilty. a explanation that was far too long. “thats a good view to have.” she responded kindly, a smile on her face. it was a bit tight but ultimately honest. “i’m sid by the way.”
“sid.” she says, extending a hand to shake the brunette’s and a soft, gentle smile settled in on her lips. “nice to meet you, sid, i’m sasha.” she tells her then her shoulders shrug a little. “it’s just how i’ve been, ever since i can remember. romance attracts me, almost like a magnet.”
ofheavenlylies:
“oh you know how ti is. rainstorms, snowstorms and yetis, oh my.” she gave a grimace, feeling the joke had fallen flat. “it is good to see you though sasha, see you good and well after all that happened.”
“yeah –– this town is anything but dull, it makes me feel like tibet was a snoozer.” she teased and then smiled at the other woman. “thank you, i’m glad to see you too. it’s been far too long, how have you been?”
Don’t you know I’m dangerous? Fire burning in my blood…
there is always some m a d n e s s in love.
Sasha Elle Jacobson. a 26 year old Oracle from Malibu, moved to San Francisco. unknown host to the powers of Aphrodite.
growing up, Sasha always had something about herself that no one else understood. how she just knew things. she had been sent to shrinks, therapists, the best money could buy and there was still nothing –– even her mental health tests came back normal.
ever since she could remember Sasha was fascinated with beauty, love, and passion. most people she came into contact with fawned over her, without much effort being put in by sasha herself.
finally when she turned twenty she had enough of “not knowing” and set off on a trip to Tibet at the recommendation of a person in her families church where she found some of what she was looking for.
while there, she met other oracles and learned how to use, hone, and love her gifts.
she was drawn to san francisco, something she discovered in tibet over the last six years lead her down this road.
finn-mikxelson:
“Not with the divorce rate these days — loyalty seems to be a dying phase. A shame really.“ Finn remarked, with a shrug of indifference as his gaze drifted toward the happy pair. Happy endings were the things of fairy-tales, and their reality was far from that.
“well that is a rather bleak outlook –– i prefer to think of it as they haven’t found their person yet. temporary love and happiness is better than nothing, is it not? otherwise we would have nothing to compare it to and be angry all the time.” more often than not, sasha found herself to be the only one who felt that way but she wouldn’t change it for anything.
ivyxxnam:
Ivy has gotten used to seeing couples out and about, especially during New Years. While she found it nice and felt happy for many of those getting engaged, a part of her couldn’t help but to feel jealous. Of course, she simply thought that it was because of her ex-partner, but for some reason, that wasn’t it. As if there was more than just that. “It is,” she replied, pushing away her jealously. “I’m happy for all of them and hope that they have a wonderful marriage.”
“me too. in the world that we live in these days, any shred of happiness is something that should be celebrated. especially when it’s caused by love.” sasha smiled a little before she looked over to the brunette woman beside her. she could feel something was a little off, but that had always been part of her gift. “would you like to go for coffee? that is where i was heading before i got sidetracked.”
jaxkson-williams:
“Eh, it’s kind of overrated if you ask me.” The hybrid returned as he eyed the couple, he had only ever met one girl he would have given up everything for and look where that had gotten him, nearly slaughtered. The male had little belief in love let alone everything else that came with it. “I take it, that’s everything you girls dream for?”
“love is overrated?” she asked, her brow raised in disbelief as the man spoke. how? love was literally what made life worth living. it didn’t have to be romantic love, it could be between friends, siblings, parents and children. “no. i just like to see people happy and love is the biggest emotion that makes that happen.”
Aphrodite>>> Goddess of love, pleasure, and Fertility, protectress of Saliors, loved by all

nocttrls:
Wyatt was at least thankful for something other than chaos and fear. The display of love was enough to at least make him smile. “It isn’t how I’d do it but it’s definitely sweet.”
“Yeah, I would hope if I was dating someone they would be a little more creative, but it’s the thought that counts right?” the blonde asked the other, watching as they celebrated and ran off somewhere.
sliithered:
Medusa felt nothing yet everything at the same time. There’s always a bittersweet sadness that comes just so close to canceling the all consuming anger that filled her heart but it never seemed to be enough. Her vengeance had been stolen just as her innocence and purity had been ripped from her. Replaced by nothing but monster mannerisms. She doesn’t find the display sweet, she finds it sickening. Perhaps she even wishes she could have something like it; a love she once held for her goddess who betrayed her just the same. “I would not claim such a thing.” Medusa answers honestly without shame. “I could think of a million other things I could claim as sweet and that does not even come close to number one.”
sasha furrowed her brows. was this woman serious? love, passion, that was what life was about. “seriously?” she asked skeptically. she knew weddings weren’t everyones cup of tea but love was what made life worth living. she had always been that way; a hopeless romantic, loving to celebrate valentines day and she always had a valentine, ever since she was five years old. she just loved, love. “and what exactly do you find to be sweet?”
ofrisingtides:
admittedly sid wasn’t in tip top shape. the loss of control of her powers had been a hard hit to her, mentally and physically. at the very least now though, there was far more control. even if it wasn’t perfect. she approached the blonde, feeling a sense of familiarity. knowing what it meant. yet, she, zeus and hades hadn’t made a decision yet on what to exactly do about the roaming powers of the gods and the vessels chosen. “its good they could bounce back from all that happened.” she said, giving a nod.
sasha looked when the person near her responded, she smiled softly because she always preferred a warm greeting, it was her MO. but this person, she felt as though she knew her but never once had she come into contact with her. “yeah, maybe that is part of it.. all of the stuff going on around brings people closer together, at least i’ve noticed a lot of it.” the blonde said simply, her shoulders lifted to a shrug.
