For the rejected and the monsters. Obligatory MCYT SCP story for Sleepy Bois Inc + Tubbo. A special interest that's consumed my brain utterly for over 4 years now. CookieNomNomCrunch on AO3. They/them 🐝
This is an au that has consumed me. This blog will just be a terrible mess of whatever I’m stuck on for the week, likely with little explanation and heavy spoilers. Anyway, the general vibe + anomalous properties are below cut:
Philza: The Zilant. Is the immortal concept of fire and fury, which pretends to be a dragon, which pretends to be a human. Maintains his personhood by attaching himself to mortals he calls his ‘Collected’. Currently: Tommy, Wilbur, The Blade, and Tubbo. Additionally, Philza is very intent on keeping any promise he makes and was kept in the Foundation exclusively because they’d captured his Collected and made a deal. Gives great dad advice, except when the advice is ‘let me murder them for you <3’
Tommy: The Instigator. Has a blood red liquid on his hands that grows when he’s scared. When people touch it, they become aggressive to anyone but Tommy. At low TI-Red levels this leads to things like bickering, but it escalates to physical violence and brutality. When TI-Red levels consume him and he thinks he’s going to die, he summons The Blade. Lived as a normal human and met Wil, Phil, and The Blade after a summoning at 15; visited the homeless guys occasionally till the Foundation captured at 16. Abandonment issues, highly touch starved, used as a Thaumiel. Collected Tubbo.
The Blade: The Blood God. Is a massive boar behemoth with voices in his head. When attacked (or if there’s an orphan), becomes The Blood God, who will bend the universe to ensure he wins. The Blade only comes back when the challenge has been completed. Grew up as a monster in the woods, but pulled himself up out of the voices, figured out what was him and what was The Blood God, and established his own personhood. Somehow has a college degree, met Phil and Wil during a gap year. Loves gardening and murdering people for Tommy. Also managed to come out of the Foundation the least traumatized, iconic.
Wilbur: Soot. [tags are noms Wilbur or scp Wilbur if you want to block] His legs magically rearrange so he is the tallest humanoid in the room. Oh also the void in the side of his face that eldritch abominations claw their way out of. Was basically a feral starving child till ~14 when Philza forcefully adopted him. A chronic insomniac with a heart of gold and a tongue of silver, held together despite the inherent contradictions between being a supreme survivalist and a drama hoe. Memory issues because he represses basically everything.
Tubbo: The Pollinator. Is a honeycomb skin suit for approximately 400,000 bees. Uses they/them we/us pronouns, because they are a Hive mind/system containing at least three humans: a Little, a Foundation employee, and a lawyer/farmer. Tubbo grew up mostly normal, albeit in secret. The most recently captured by the Foundation, and a staunch pacifist. This causes them to be at odds with Philza, who did a few murderous rampages too many, and The Blade, for the reason above and also because he destroyed their legs. But they stick around because they’re attached to Tommy.
Basic vibes are found family, hurt/comfort, questions of morality, and trauma at the hands of the Foundation and each other. Things get messy, but it’s all bound together with love at the end of the day.
All Nom commissions are prompt gifts for donations to charitable causes, such as the environment, social justice rights, or victims of wars. I will not cover topics of romance, sex, or write about George, Dream, or Wilbur.
Writing: Base 5$ gets a minimum of 300 words. 10$ 1,000 word minimum, 20$ 3,000. I also have no self-control, and there is no additional payment if the prompt is amazing and I break the world limit.
Drawing: Base 5$ gets a drawing in full color. 'Animatics' start at 40$ for a verse, and the price increases for color.

AMESMP
Context, I'm on an origins server playing a scientist phantom named Cessation.
Failure Analysis Log 3 is a fic told through a series of scientific contents regarding Wickburn Asper working on the Ancient City portal, trying to get into the afterlife. Tragedy, yuri (?!), horror.
Ame Smp intro, Seft (Cessation's phantom kid), Pod-cast posts 1, 2, battles, i'm like super behind explaining anything man gooood luck.
dunno that the textual evidence of Mandatory Family Reunion suggests this is the case. So it may be more in the realm of head canon. But. At least there isn’t anything explicitly denying that Wilbur wasn’t also the occasional victim of the same hostage taking Techno encountered w the Nether. And combined with the (lower) Nether clearly wanting to have kidnapped Wilbur for torture purposes instead of Techno. And Philza clearly keeping the Syndicate from Tommy cause he’s a kid. And Wilbur’s about being in the Syndicate since he was twelve.
I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility to imagine that Wilbur might’ve found out about the Syndicate when Phil was rescuing him from a rival gang. And a developing kid on the cusp of black and white thinking, endlessly relieved his dad saved him from the baddies….
Perhaps I am projecting my dislike of golf but he should be a self respecting wild hog and tear the turf to shreds !!!! He should be out there with the boys !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excerpt from the newest chapter of To Return The Favor of Raising Me, a dsmp zombie au
“I would be depressed too, if I had to stay in bed all day,” Tommy grumbled. “Why can’t Dad play with us on his good days?”
Everyone averted their gazes. “Cause then he’d have even more bad days, Tommy. You don’t want him to get sicker, do you?”
Dropping his head in shame, tension crept through Tommy’s body. He pressed into Kristin for comfort, and her arms automatically wrapped around the kid. “You’re not in the wrong for wanting your dad to have fun and feel better. It just shows how much you care.”
Techno’s wary glance caught the interaction, eyes narrowing with suspicion at Kristin's ploy to win over Tommy. Then again, who would trust a stranger in the zombie apocalypse? Techno suddenly commanded the group’s attention. “Alright guys. Did you enjoy the meal?” Cheers went up, which was heartening. Seemed Kristin was winning them over with the supplies she brought! “Good. Want that again, every day, even through all of winter?” There was something like hope in the childrens’ eyes, tentative, sure, so often bruised, but there was an almost faith in Techno’s capabilities. Almost. “Well, Kristin here is going to…help us. Y’see how much she got? It’s all from her compound, which we’re going to raid for supplies.”
Kristin startled, “Wait– no–” before catching the error. If she denied working with them, she was instantly declaring herself to be in the midst of enemies. “I mean, it’s incredibly far away at this point, and you’ll never find it unless I’m leading you there. And they’ll notice you coming.” So, killing and torture was off the table, kids!
But Techno’s grin was sharp. “Well, see, we’ve been trying to get medicine in this area, but had no luck ‘cause of your intervention. We have to move on anyway.” She’d pushed them to be too desperate.
“Wait. She’s the reason we haven’t been getting any medicine?” Tubbo pipped up. At once the children perked to wariness, the easy atmosphere flipping to hostile.
Tommy peeled out of her arms, eyes wide with betrayal. “You’ve- are you trying to kill dad??”
“Yup. Getting to them before we could,” Techno confirmed. The territory advantage and time to think was giving him too much confidence. She shouldn’t have expected him to stay blind sided and defensive. And suddenly, Kristin was painfully aware she was in the den of a feral kid pack that’d been killing since the apocalypse began. "And none of us want to lose Phil, do we?"
“Phil’s my second chance,” Tubbo explained shortly. “My first dad got eaten.”
“Phil’s the only dad we want,” Niki declared.
“Phil’s the only dad who wants us,” Tommy added dully.
The brainwashing ran deep. Kristin grew more uneasy the longer she remained. But they needed her. And might just shoot if she backed off now.
I know that you abandoned it, but I just want to say that your fic Lighting Lanterns To Bring You Home is honestly so beautiful??
The writing style!!! The carefully crafted sentences and prose make it feel as it as was epic tailored from the words of poets of old???
ALSO THE MYTHOLOGY REFERENCES AND MOTIFS WE EAT THAT UP
And also,,,,the concept of lighting numerous lambent lanterns as a say 'im still here, here is the way back to me, i'll be here waiting for you forevermore' then it turning to a lantern festival, a symbol of hopes and dreams and wishes??? It is just the most bittersweet, heartwarming, whimsical thing ever???
And I might be straying a lot here because there were def parts where it was angsty but the whole theme of the story (in my perspective) is just so soft, that no matter how much we have and will go through, in times of contentment or sorrow, in this life or another, you will always find a home in me and in everyone else you chose to make a life with...KEMDMEKEM
Tbh this may not be my favorite favorite fic from all the ones you've made cause honest your writing in general is the most enthralling mix of prose and bluntness when needed but. It is one of the most that makes me feel comfort and soft and stuff and...guiltily I just remembered it from the song At All Costs from the Wish Movie, kinda an iffy stretch but it was the scene of Asha(?) cradling the wish in her arms and I thought that fit so well? The tenderness, the unconditional devotion between what may not be your blood but gosh matters just as much as family, maybe even transcending that—
Haha whoops wrote an essay bye
How can there be a tragedy without love? There is no heartache without first a heart, tender and pouring out love into the veins of another. It is that undying devotion that makes it so when another is cut, you bleed. Wilbur wants to save Technoblade so, so badly, and it is that love that makes it painful. And yet at the same time so sweet and soft, inspiring others to hold out the hope that their loves, too, will some day return. And to reach for it.
Lots of good replies on this post but I got inspired by @sohrleas' mention of doomsday prepper Philza. So have a little AU idea!
Philza is a doomsday prepper. He believes the end of the world isn't only possible, it's inevitable and it's only a matter of a waiting game before it happens. And when it happens, he does not want to be caught unaware. His wife Kristin makes good money, so he has all the time in the world to devote himself to this eccentric 'hobby'.
Techno, a local college student, befriended Phil when he was looking for a community garden to plant potatoes in for a school project back in high school. He could not find any, but Phil has a lot of land around his house (safely held between fortified walls) and offered up his garden in exchange for some of the produce he could pickle and jar up. Techno thought it was a little sus but took him up on the offer.
Phil turned out to be a very chill guy, they have some interests in common (literature, history, etc), and Techno has a shitty family (no parents, lives with an uncle who is drunk or gone most of the time) so he ends up growing very close to Phil, and also Phil's son Wilbur who is a few years older than Techno, and Tommy, a younger boy who Wilbur views as a little sibling after they met through music camp (Wilbur is a camp counselor and Tommy had one summer of thinking he'd want to be a pianist. He's since abandoned the dream, but Tommy is growing up in a similar situation as Techno, so that's why he hangs out with Wilbur and Phil and sees them as his family).
Techno does think that Phil's conspiracy theories are a little out there but it's not like Phil is doing any harm with them, and Phil manages to be a very nice individual when he's not talking about the coming doomsday, so Techno mostly ignores that whole thing.
Until one day, he goes over to Phil's place for tea and a chat, and ends up feeling very groggy after only a few minutes. Techno has just enough time to realize Phil drugged him before he passes out.
He wakes up a little while later with his right leg chained to a bed.
The bed is in a very nice room, a fully fitted bedroom with living space, bathroom, and everything. And the chain does allow Techno a decent range of motion. But that doesn't change that he's chained up, and there are no windows, and the door is made of steel, bolted from the outside.
Tommy is also in the room, not chained to a bed.
Phil and Wilbur come down after a little bit, and apologize for the circumstances. See, the world has ended, much like they expected it to. And thus, outside isn't safe anymore. Techno asks what the heck that has to do with them being kidnapped and locked up. Phil explains ever so patiently that they've not been kidnapped, they've been saved. Techno and Tommy are part of the family, no way are Wilbur and Phil going to let them die. They're locked up as a precaution, since neither of them has the survival training the other two do, so staying in the room is safer for now. The chain is because Phil has a fair idea of how stubborn Techno can be.
(Techno does instantly prove him right by trying to throttle him.)
Phil also explains that they shouldn't worry. The house is set up to be defendable and loaded with enough supplies to keep them going for at least a few years, not to mention it being completely off the grid in terms of electricity and water. Kristin will be home soon. It will be a while before they even have to think about venturing outside, and when that time comes Phil and Wilbur will do it so Techno and Tommy can be safe and sound. They're younger, after all. Less prepared. It makes sense. They'll have time to learn how to survive too.
Techno tells them they're insane if they think they'll get away with this. It's going to be super obvious when two people with a strong connection to Wilbur and Phil go missing.
Phil shrugs, and says that since almost everybody outside of their house is dead, he doubts anybody is going to come looking for them.
Over the course of the next week or so, Techno and Tommy stay confined in the room. They're brought food, items to occupy themselves with, anything they need. Techno manages to pry out of Phil that this thing that supposedly has ended the world is some sort of disease, but they're being super cagey with the details. They keep telling them not to worry about the specifics. They're safe. Techno tries a few escape attempts, but can't get far because of the chain. Tommy is reluctant about helping because he's a bit confused and scared, he doesn't think Wilbur and Phil would do this without reason, and also because it's honestly not that bad, is it? No more school, just hanging out all day? Tommy doesn't really miss his old life.
But Techno keeps insisting that they need to get out of there and alert the authorities. Eventually, Tommy does help him pick the lock on the chain. The next time Wilbur comes in to bring them food, Techno uses an improvised weapon (a chair leg) to knock him out. Tommy isn't happy with that and refuses to leave when Wilbur is bleeding unconscious on the floor. Seeing no other option, Techno tells Tommy he'll alert help and come back for him, before sneaking through the hallway. He finds a window and climbs out, then books it across Phil's garden to the wall. He manages to scale it somehow, even as he hears Phil yelling for him to come back.
Techno can run quite fast for a nerdy history major.
He gets to the town and finds it deserted. Like, nobody is around. There are cars abandoned on the asphalt, broken store windows, and the smell of rot in the air. But no people at first glance. A large patch of dried blood stands out.
It hasn't truly sunk in for Techno yet that the world did end. He just wanders down the street, confused.
He sees a shape not too far off then, crouching over something else, and automatically calls out. The person - pale, gaunt - turns towards him. Their chin is covered in more blood. They're hunched over a corpse, eating it.
The zombie lunges at Techno.
Techno hits it with the same chair leg he hit Wilbur with, knocking the person - the monster - down. He turns around and tries to run, but strong hands latch onto his ankle and he's pulled down too, hitting his head on the ground hard. He kicks at the thing, feeling bone crunch beneath his heel. The person barely reacts. It has no eyes anymore, and patches of skin have slouched off the flesh. Techno squirms as it lifts his leg and then opens its mouth, sinking teeth into his flesh to tear at it. He screams, kicking again, and manages to get it off. Through vision blurred by pain, he somehow manages to pick up his weapon and bash the person's skull in, over and over and over, until gray matter leaks from the hole and it stops moving.
Techno barely has a moment to process what just happened before another zombie jumps him.
His shoulder slams into a car, then his forehead meets the pavement a second time, so concussion is guaranteed at this point. His ankle burns and he's losing blood fast. He thinks it bit deep enough to rip into his arteries. The second zombie is even more ambitious, teeth gnashing to reach his throat. Techno struggles to fend it off with his hands on its shoulders but he doesn't know how long he can keep it up.
Right as his strength is failing him, a gunshot rings out across the street. The zombie's head explodes into a spray of gore. Techno just slumps, going boneless, exhausted and hurt.
Phil looms over him, looking so genuinely scared. Seeing the bite on Techno's ankle, he curses. He says something else, but Techno passes out before he can really grasp it.
He wakes up chained to a bed again.
Though it's his other leg this time. Because his right leg, the leg he was chained with the first time, the leg that got bitten, is gone.
Phil is sitting next to him, and he's so relieved when Techno manages to squint at him. He apologizes to Techno. Not for the whole 'locking him up' thing. For not doing it better.
Phil never wanted Techno or Tommy to see all that terribleness. Phil and Wilbur were prepared for all that, but Techno and Tommy weren't. Phil wished he could have done a better job, and shielded them from the cruelty and the gore. At least until they were older, more adjusted. That's also why he hid the details of the disease earlier. It makes people ravenous, hungry for human flesh. It turns them into monsters. He thought it would have been easier if Techno and Tommy believed the disease simply killed people. That it would give them some peace.
Techno is sick, feverish, as he listens to the explanation. Phil says he thinks he was in time with the amputation. Techno will live, though the long-term effects of the virus might be nasty even in a low dose. Techno could be prone to bouts of sickness forever, and never regain full strength. Not to mention he's short a leg now. It's regrettable since Phil was planning to teach both Techno and Tommy how to survive in the long run. For Tommy, that's still an option. But for Techno, he might be forever incapacitated to some degree.
But that's alright. Between the four of them, they can take care of Techno even if he needs some extra help. That's what family is for, after all.
"Did you choose Philza?"
"No," Techno breathed. "But if I had to choose, I wouldn't have chosen you any more than you'd chose me." The god huffed his not-laugh without his lips moving.
"You already know me so well," the god told him. "But you don't know Philza."
"That's the problem."
"Is it? He chased you down. I've only ever heard of people chasing the wind, not the other way around. And no one has ever told the wind when to be still and wait with as much success as you."
"It's not enough." Techno hated how defeated those words sounded.
Read the tags on the fic! Also, I promise this has a happy ending :)
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
This is a @voicesfortheblade fic for the wonderful Shae! Synopsis:
When bounty hunters gravely injured Technoblade, he found temporary refuge in a hybrid community. Initially, the hybrids were equally wary as he was of them, thinking of their own poachers. But their hackles eased when Technoblade pretended to be a bunnyborn. For some reason, the hybrids mistook his endless scars, relentless vigilance, and constant flinches as further proof Technoblade was one of them. All part of the master plan...?
The lie was only meant to last a few days, only meant to avoid death. But as Technoblade tentatively became used to the kindness of Philza, Niki, and Tommy, the justifications to delay running piled up. The lie could last a little longer, couldn't it?
you have permission to pick that 2 year old "abandoned" project back up. it's not mad at you for setting it aside. and maybe time and distance have helped ease or erase the things that made you put it down in the first place.
[ID: an image of a hand pointing at a pig. The pig has a digital drawing layered over it so that it looks like Technoblade (by that I mean it looks like a drawn pig with a crown and cape.) A black box with white lines surrounds the image and the text on the bottom reads THAT(big text) is a pig (little text) end ID]
