“Am I really that obvious?” she commented, a gentle smile on her face despite the sadness in her eyes. Her hand came up to rest on his arm, “Did I wake you?”
“Not to everyone else.” He was sure he could tell because he had the same problem and knew just how hard it could be to shake the memories of past lives if they weren’t pleasant. “Not really, no.” When he’d become such a light sleeper, he wasn’t sure but he’d felt it when she got up. “You wanna talk about it or do you want distractions?”

“I’m fine, it was just a bad dream,” she told him even though she knew it was more than just a bad dream. It was another memory of a past life.
A little kiss was pressed to her shoulder as he shifted his hands so he could press against her, his arms wrapped around her. "Bad dream or a memory?"

He smile softly at the kiss, an arm wrapping around her to pull her in closer, "You should do it more often."

“You know you can tell me,” she encouraged, her hand squeezing his reassuringly. She knew what that was like. She had her fair share of unpleasant reminders of their past lives. The only difference was she didn’t have anyone she could talk to about it. It’s not that she didn’t trust the Legends, they just didn’t get it.
Fingers squeezed softly, “I know.” He’d never be able to truly to explain how much it meant to him that she was so willing to listen when things like this happened. “Do you ever wish you didn’t remember everything?” Maybe somethings about their past lives were better off forgotten but it seemed like those memories would always come back.

Sometimes, yeah. Usually before any of the memories really come back.
Do you believe in happy endings?
.....I think some people get happy endings. [ but so far, that hadn’t been him. Maybe in this life, with savage gone, he would get a chance to have that. ]
So... Hawkman... does your ethnicity change when you’re reincarnated? Sorry if that’s insensitive, just curious.
Not so far, no. We tend to retain our appearance from our original lives.

“Is something wrong?” Kendra asked, covering Carter’s hand with her own.
He could lie and tell her it was nothing but he had the feeling she would know better. Instead he turned his hand over so he could hold hers and offered a ghost of a smile. "Just memories coming back. ....They're not always the happiest." Like what Savage did to make sure he didn't remember his past lives.

He smiled softly as he nuzzled into her neck, "You feeling alright?" Hands rubbed her lower back, leaning back just enough that he had more room to massage slowly.

His tongue darted out to lick his lips as he looked her over, taking in just how stunning she looked. “Yeah, I do.” Then again, he thought she looked gorgeous all the time. Hands settled on her thighs, the touch light as if he expected her to scold him for it. “What’s the occasion for this?”
