“—– Did you?” Percy have been well aware of the Zeus girl’s lack of attention whenever he starts to talk- whether it be about Annabeth, the gods or even something as important as a quest. But whatever. It wasn’t like he cared much anyway, considering the fact that he, too, pretends to disregard her complaints whenever she went off on a tangent about her travels and/or fellow hunters. It was the usual, harmless fun for them, actually. “Gee, with the way you had your face scrunched up and stuff, I could have sworn you were sympathizing with me.”

And she should too. It was only noon and Chiron had already asked for him to go off and look into a possible monster sighting somewhere on the outskirts of camp. It was needless to say that he had chosen the wrong day to be a son of Poseidon, that much was clear. Much like every other day of his existence.

“ yup . surprise . ” of course she had managed to pay attention to a few bits --- after all , thalia wasn’t deaf , but she’d like to consider percy’s issues rather insignificant at times , at least when compared to what the son of poseidon faced in the past few years . either way , it was part of their routine to make fun of each other . thalia had grown to like her cousin much like a brother , && yet she would lever let him know .
