Her breathing slowed while the life faded from the living work of art, and she got up to face the little girl she had narrowly rescued. She tried to grin, wanting to make light of the situation.

It was her luck that she reflexively held the papercup out of range to be tipped out of her hand by a voluntary gesture - hot coffee wasn’t pleasent, neither for a human nor for a weapon. She stayed frozen in the position until the other stood up again, only looking at her when she spoke - though the toned glasses didn’t reveal her gaze, thankfully so.

🔫 - “It’s…fine, I suppose?” she hesingtatingly replied while brushing a strand of black hair behind her ear, still surprised by the contact, though not terribly upset. “At least nothing happened; I’d suggest watching out next time.”

The brunette took deep breaths, trying not to freak out over the woman. Part of her thought she was rather pretty, but the other warned her of the last time she had trusted someone right off the bat.

Her legs moved over to sit next to them until the crowd passed, deciding it would be a better idea rather than continue to struggle with them.

The ghost children are gone, and so is the witch, but that didn’t mean an air of hostility and murder didn’t drench the air whenever Shiori decided to go on a walk.
