Fixing his tie a slight bit he knew just exactly how much heâd annoyed her. Somewhat he still was a bit tipsy though and sort of oblivious to the full extent. Generally the reason why most people didnât like him which he still tried processing why Zed stuck around. âYeah I know huge asshole, insensitive, prone to being a human disaster.â
John dug around in his pockets,âBloody cop stealing peopleâs smokes like I paid money for them.â Grumbling to himself then paused hearing Zed,âIâll add it to my list between you and Chas I basically owe first class tickets to heaven for putting up with me.âÂ
Finding a cigarette he pulled it out of his pocket,âHa.â Putting it in his mouth he lit up with his trusty lighter before tucking it away,âThanks though wouldnât have blamed you if you let me sit overnight.â
She frowned, a strange expression crossing her features. She didnât like the way John spoke about himself, and she knew she berated him for being an inconsiderate dick, but she also admired him quite genuinely. âYou forgot charming, but donât let that get to your head John.â He was incredible, Zed wasnât blind. She could see the way people reacted to him- some of the time, when he wasnât being an asshole.Â
âIâd be happy with a drink or two, John.â Zed commented, lifting her shoulders in a shrug. âMaybe some charcoals, then we can call it even.â She lifted her lips into a small smile. She cared for John, when she had said he owed her, she hadnât really meant it. Not really.Â
âAs if I would have done that, I was actually looking forward to listening to you try and teach me all about my psychic abilities tonight. Donât think Iâm letting you off the hook because you got yourself arrested.â
