It was Clark himself who taught it to him; both the one that Kai knew and the one with him now—an enduring spirit despite odds; of perseverance and a rightfully built up stoicism. Okay. That might have been a little bit blown up. Shit. Kai clenched a jaw at the betrayal of his own thoughts as he just reverted his focus back on the task at hand. It was trickier with Clark around—no offense. It was easier then when he could just breathe and grunt whenever the soreness within him pulsed in its vile warmth and kept the Kryptonian on his toes. But it is what it is—if anything, Kai was putting more effort into the chores that he needed to do so he could finish early and maybe head out to where he could deal with his slowly swelling problem. He stole a glance then. Clark didn’t notice anything, right? It was one of the moments where Kai was a bit grateful with his reputation he had been known for actually—that with an easy haul of the lay bay of hay, he sighed on, massive breasts heaving for a breather as he clenched his jaw to hide the wince that followed on through that pulse of heat bloomed within each weighed slabs.
“--------- see? I told you I can handle this…” Kai nodded with a grin, playing off what was the reality of the situation—all eager to convince Clark to get on with the rest of his night. “Come on, the we’re not even halfway down the afternoon, shouldn’t you be having fun with Lewis?”
