headcanons & stuff

biotite: the biggest problems my muse is currently dealing with       trash and garbage virus and trip smh.  celestite: how my muse deals with anxiety         gets in bed, snuggles ren and drowns the world out with music tbh. it’s easier for him to just be on his own when he’s struggling to deal. being around people just– overcrowds his head. hematite: how squeamish my muse is       so little that it concerns him tbh. the sight of blood etc only bothers him because it means another person’s in pain??? not because ew, blood. he can deal with the sight of most awful things and he’ll still keep his head p well. he probably owes a huge amount of that to the hecked up alternate personality in his head that gets off on blood and suffering, but ye. iolite: my muse’s drinking habits       lol none. mizuki has to make special non-alcoholic aoba drinks bc he can’t hold his liquor. even when he was ‘sly blue’ and he hung around on street corners w/ the cool kids drinking cheap af beer out of paper bags, he had to act like he was drinking more than he actually was bc he’s hammered after a single drink.

   Aoba’s eyes narrow dangerously. He sinks his teeth into Trip’s clothed inner thigh and gnaws. Retaliation for those snarky comments. He hopes he drew blood. Hopes it’ll rile Trip up enough to really wreck him. He flashes a sharp smile, eyes a little dazed from the pleasure-pain of hands tugging his hair. “Fuck you. You get your dick sucked when I feel like it.”    He feels like being a real asshole now. His expression goes all mock-innocent and sweet. He nuzzles softly at Trip’s cock in a way he knows isn’t what the yazuka wants. He wants it rough and hard, wants Aoba obediently choking on his length. Aoba nibbles at it instead, taunting: daring Trip to just take him.

As Risette, she was to be perfect. Charming, sweet, innocent, happy. The girlfriend everyone wanted. Everyone, save for the team and her grandmother, expected that of her. She just couldn’t deliver on that. The pretense was exhausting. Why did he expect that from her? It was annoying.

On one hand, she did feel for him. She knew what the idol world was like. She knew he was inches from having his life ruined. In fact, she didn’t know how his company hadn’t cut him yet. They didn’t seem to be doing damage control either. Maybe it was different for him. He wasn’t at the top, like she was. Losing him wouldn’t hurt his company like Takura Productions losing her would be, probably.

“I can’t,” she didn’t even consider the option. All in all, there was nothing there that had to do with her. This wasn’t about her choice or what was best for her. It was what she could do, for him. When it came down to it, once again she was going to be used, if she agreed. “No,” she corrected herself, “I won’t. Even if I go back for just this movie, they won’t let me go again. I refuse. Anyway, Kanamin’s the likely candidate to take my spot for the role.” And in general. “She’s going to skyrocket with popularity. There’s no need for me to do it.”

   “Yeah... I figured it was a long shot.” Suddenly he’s feeling out of place. What is he doing here? Trying to convince a tired girl to abandon her hard-won freedom and repair a total stranger’s career. Trying to use another person for his own fame. Is this the kind of person he’s turned into? He should be back in the city, fighting for his right to at least attempt some damage control. He should be showing them that he’s worth holding onto.     Maybe he came here because he knows very well that he isn’t. He’s a screw-up from nowhere, hired for his pretty voice but just as easy to replace.     Aoba pulls together a wavering smile and backs toward the exit, abruptly stifled by everything about this store. He can’t breathe. This was such a horrible decision. “Um-- thanks. For... taking a sec to... talk.” And to shove his dumb ideas out of his head. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have come here.” He knows that Kanamin’s probably going to take over the role. But by the time they’ve gotten her hired, they’ll have found someone to replace Aoba, too. It’s the logical choice. He’s going to end up sent home as a failure. “Good luck-- with everything. I mean it.”    He scrambles to open the door. The people outside stare openly at him, at both of them. There are mutters and murmurs. Great. All he’s managed to do is spread more rumours. He tries to smile like nothing’s wrong, waves a shaky goodbye to Kujikawa-san, and dashes off to the Inn, back to his room where he can have his meltdown in private.

Clear’s never read a shoujo manga, but he’s definitely gotten his romantic ideals from somewhere. His heart is positively thrumming in his chest when Aoba takes his hand again. Walking home after work, making dinner plans together- it’s all so domestic. He can’t help but hum a cheerful tune the whole way there, something light and energetic to work out the energy buzzing through him.

Even though he’s visited countless times before, something feels special about crossing the threshold hand-in-hand with Aoba. Maybe it’s just the fact that he usually enters from the balcony rather than the front door. Whatever it is, it makes this house feel more like an actual home. Like this is a place Clear can stay and not just visit.

That’s also something to think about for later. For now, Clear drags Aoba by the hand over to the kitchen excitedly before he can even slip off his shoes, foregoing household etiquette altogether in his eagerness. He spins around to face him again and reaches for his other hand as well, clasping both between his own in an earnest embrace.

“What should we make~?” he asks cheerfully. Not even a moment later he answers his own question. “Oh, oh, what kind of food does Master like best? Whatever it is, we should make that!”

   In the handful of seconds Aoba has before he’s towed enthusiastically off to the kitchen, he privately appreciates the novelty of entering the house with Clear rather than having him announce his presence by tumbling into Aoba’s room. He’s long since accepted that Clear is a collection of peculiarities in human form, but he’s hoping he can break in the habit of at least not dropping unannounced from thin air.     “Hey, hey--” But there’s no time to vocalise any of that, or even to take off his shoes or coat; Clear’s strangely strong and there really is no resisting when he decides he’s pulling Aoba directly to the kitchen. He’s so excited for something as simple as cooking together. Aoba’s aborted protests turn into fond laughter. He squeezes Clear’s hands. “You’re cute,” he’s saying warmly before he can think better of it. Hot embarrassment washes predictably over him a mere instant later. He sounds like such a weirdo. Desire cackles unhelpfully.    “Anyway,” Aoba begins, eyeing the kitchen cupboards, “um... I’m not really picky about food. I’ll eat anything.” A nervous laugh. Why is he nervous? He’s been alone with Clear plenty of times. Just because he knows what Clear’s mouth tastes like now is no reason to suddenly be like this. He rallies valiantly. “Maybe something like... curry?” Is that the best thing if there might be more kissing later? “Or noodles! Something with noodles! Or... potatoes...” He’s just listing food now. Shut up, Aoba. [ Took the words right outta my mouth. ]
