LIZETTE REYES is portrayed by CHRISTIAN SERRATOS and is in Las Vegas/Kismet Harbor temporarily to provide plot development for OLIVER HOFFMAN.
Ollie was a flirt, there was no other way to describe him; save for maybe fun and exciting. At least that's how he viewed himself along with caring and someone you could rely upon. But judging by the other he felt as if he was falling flat and hopefully that would just be metaphorically and not actually doing so this weekend in front of her. "Ouch," he joked as his smile faded and he stood up a bit straighter as he let the words roll of his shoulders, "will do." He gave her a salute, holding tongue for what he truly wanted to say, wanting to quip back who said I was about to offer anything but some help? Though he wasn't against sleeping with an attractive woman like she was; but he had promised his friend that he wouldn't. At least until the vows were said and the toasts were given. Watching her as she went back to working on whatever she had been doing, he folded his arms across from his chest, "that's why I said I would usually protest but I know how anal Elena could be. Hence why I am not protesting." His face was blank as he saw her eyes roll, it taking a lot out of him not to snap back at her but thankfully he had enough professional training at work to know how to diffuse situations. He swallowed and gave a nod, "obviously I have. Was just trying to lighten the mood as rehearsal dinners and weddings in general bring out some feelings in people." He let the last part of her comment slide, not even replying to it.
Giving her an affirmative nod, he didn't mind when anyone called him Oliver (or Ollie), not hating his name as sometimes others did. With some clients, mainly the younger ones or closed off ones he'd introduce himself as Ollie as a way to connect or make them feel more at ease. But mainly it was Oliver or even Mister Hoffmann at times. "Touche," he added, as he would have done the same or had suggested it to his non-existent fiance when it came time to do so. Looking around before looking back at Lizette, he let out a chuckle, "no? Not a fan of the cowboy motif?" He gently touched a saddle that adorned the wall as he followed her, looking at other doors, trying to find some type of closet that might house a ladder. "Yeah Oregon," he replied as he kept opening doors, "grew up there and stayed there. Mainly due to family and such. My parents and siblings are still there as are my nieces and nephews." He stopped at the last door before she opened it and he saw the ladder and toolbox, breathing a sigh of relief. "Where in Oregon, you been?" He asked, going inside to take out the ladder, and then the tools. "Exactly. Home and where family is." @ofsilentstorms
Lizette was sure that if she allowed it that the two of them would go back and forth like this all night, and while she wasn’t normally opposed she let herself ignore it, eyes focusing on anything other than the other instead. “She’s not anal.” she argued, quickly defending her friend. “She likes what she likes and we could truthfully probably all be a little more like her.” she stated. Though, as the other stated that he was trying to lighten the mood, Lizette exhaled. “I appreciate the effort none the less.” she paused. “I’m not sure it’s the right time; maybe try that when I have a little less to do, more wine in my system and a proper meal.” Straightforward and to the bottom, maybe then he’d get the hint.
“I’m not.” Lizette admitted, eyes focusing on him over her shoulder as she shook her head. “I don’t know many people that would be. I mean, it’s not the worst. And it adds enough personality to this place to make it not just look like every other place in this area.” she stated. “And it does go with Elena’s wedding theme, but, again I can’t say this is exactly what I’d go for.” she reiterated, shaking her head as she looked back at the other, this time more onward. She listened instead as he mentioned he grew up in Oregon and that he’d stayed there because his family had always been there. From what she could gather about him, he was close to his family. Something that she’d admire if she were looking for that in a partner. “That’s not something you see a lot of anymore.” Lizette admitted. “I feel like most people in our generation are so quick to get out of home and break generational curses so quickly that we leave before anyone even has the chance to realize we’re gone.” she paused. At his question about where in Oregon she’d been she paused. “It was a small town south of Portland.” she stated. “Kismet Harbor. You ever heard of it?” @olliehoffmann
"Twenty twenty vision baby, and a good eye for faces," he gave her a wink and bit his lip, his gaze meeting hers for a moment. Of course he knew she wasn't Elena or the bride, having known Dustin for years and had met his soon-to-be wife plenty of times. Though he wasn't ready for his own wedding yet, he wasn't opposed to meeting the right one eventually. However he was looking forward to the fun and excitement this wedding would surely bring especially given its location. However he wasn't about to just jump into bed with anyone, but he wasn't exactly going to say no if given the chance with a fine woman. Nodding, "ah. Makes sense. Though I'm pretty sure Dustin by now knows just to say yes and nod his head or agree with Elena if given the option." He looked around to see if he recognized anyone else, but not seeing anyone who stood out. "I'd usually protest and ask who died and make you queen but given how I know Elena, I don't want to be on the other side of her wrath if it isn't perfect."
Shaking her hand, he gave her a smile at the same time. Letting out a chuckle, "ouch. Well you never know, might be in a bind one day and you'll need to know how to contact that one dude from your best friends wedding. And you won't remember so I won't be able to swoop in and help." He shrugged his shoulders and played coy before nodding a quick thanks. "I shall. Though professionally I go by Oliver, not sure your thoughts on that though, and if I should still give the parents the compliment." He could feel his shoulders droop a bit, the banter making him feel at ease. Looking for a closet or something, he nodded, "and here I was thinking you had it all handled. Tsk Tsk," he then shook his head with a chuckle, teasing her of course. "You're correct, I'm from a state over in Oregon so thankfully I get me behaving only has to last an extra two hours on the plane," he started to look for said ladder as he spoke, "New Mexico huh? Never been but heard it's gorgeous there." @ofsilentstorms
Lizette wouldn’t lie, the outwardness of the other’s ego was something she ordinarily wouldn’t have put up with. She’d never been one for outward flirting. Mostly because she’d never had the time but, something about someone with an inflated ego like he had didn’t sit right with her. “Now that that’s been established.” she paused, shaking her head. “You mind taking that twenty twenty vision and putting it to use? Because I can promise you I’m not interested in anything you have to offer me.” she admitted, even if she were being harsh for no reason. Lizette wasn’t a prude; she’d had her fair share of broken hearts and bed partners, but something about the way the other was so outward with his words was a giant turn off for Lizette. She shifted, letting her attention return to the table she were working so diligently to make perfect when the other made the statement about her ‘being queen’. “Literally Elena.” Lizette argued, rolling her eyes. “It’s an unspoken rule that the maid of honor’s job is to make sure everything goes according to plan and that if anything goes awry the bride never knows about it.” she stated. “Have you ever even attended a wedding or are you just here to see how many girls you can sleep with in one weekend?” Okay, maybe that last part was unnecessary.
Professionally I go by Oliver. The words radiated in her mind, and she let her smile widen as she gave him a small nod. “Probably for the better part of things Oliver.” she spoke, deciding in that moment that’s what she was calling him. Oliver. Simple. Professional. Much less childlike than the name Ollie. She were serious before; it was cute. For a five year old. As he seemed to question whether she had it handled or not she rolled her eyes, dropping his hand as she made her way took a step back. “The wedding I do.” she nodded. “Elena doesn’t need me to have it under control she hired someone for that but the wedding I’ve helped her fine tooth comb from the beginning.” she stated. “This venue though -” she paused. “Wouldn’t have been my first choice if we’re being honest but it’s perfect for Elena and Dustin.” She assumed this was some sort of a country club, though, instead of the typical modernized and fancy decor you’d expect this one had more of an emphasis on the country part with saddles on the walls and cowboy hats along the upstairs balcony. Not Lizette’s ideal wedding at all, but, it wasn’t hers. At this point she’d started making her way towards any closet she could find, opening doors that would open, trying to help him find a ladder. “Oh Oregon.” she nodded. “I’ve been there.” she nodded, keeping it vague. “You grow up there or end up there as an adult?” The question would define whether or not her in a few weeks would finalize if her decision was a good or bad one. It was only once she’d opened the last door, revealing a ladder and a small tool box that she turned to look at him again. “It is gorgeous there.” she nodded, smile widening. “It’s home, at the end of it all.” @olliehoffmann
Being Vegas meant a number of things, gambling, partying, sex, and lots of fun. However being in Vegas for a friend's wedding meant nixing a few of those things and staying sober during his best man duties. So for now he opted to table those while he helped the bridal party (along with the groomsmen) in getting things set up for the rehearsal dinner.
As he sauntered into the venue, he waved to a couple of people he knew before being stopped and already ordered to help. "Well hello to you too, and I know you're not Elena," he looked around for said woman before eyes falling back on her, "where is she and where would a ladder be?" He asked, eyes looking this woman up and down for a moment before looking around for a ladder.
His eyes went back to hers as she introduced herself, his interest piqued, she's not half bad looking he thought to himself as he shot his hand out to shake hers. "Ollie," nodded while flashing a grin, "Hoffmann and I'm the best man so it looks like we'll be working together on this." His eyes got wide and he smirked, "now is that a threat or a promise?" He teased before putting his hands up, "trust me. My buddy laid down the law so I will absolutely be a good boy for this entire thing. Up until my plane lands back home." @ofsilentstorms
"Good eye." Lizette joked, shaking her head. Anyone that knew the bride and groom knew she wasn't Elena. Not only did she look nothing like the girl standing in front of the other, there was no way in hell Lizette would've ever ended up with a man like Elena's fiance'. Not that there was anything wrong with the man, he was attractive enough, but the amount of times she'd listened to Elena cry on the phone because Dustin was in between jobs again was enough for Lizette to know that he wasn't the kind of man she wanted. She needed someone that could match her energy; a good paying job - ideally a doctor or something of the sorts that understood how important it was to be part of something needed -enjoyed the ability to slow down at the dinner table while also appreciating some chaos every now and then. Not that Lizette even wanted to settle down; she was too focused on getting through this wedding and getting her life started up in her new town to let the idea of settling down every come over her. "Elena's -" she paused, looking over her shoulder. "Probably with Dustin finishing up some last minute things with the vendors if I had to guess. So, as the next in charge, we were all asked to start decorating." she shrugged.
As the other introduced himself and his hand was in his, the handshake firm, Lizette exhaled. "I'm sure your last name isn't something I'm going to ever need to remember." she joked. "Ollie, though, that's cute. Tell your parents they picked a good one." she stated, only letting go once the other did. "I have absolutely no idea where this ladder is, but, I'll help you look." she nodded, taking a step away from the table she'd been working diligently at and making sure the other was following her. "I heard you said you'd be good until you got home. I take it you aren't from here either?" she paused. "Though I guess I shouldn't be shocked, half of the bridesmaids came from New Mexico with Elena and I." @olliehoffmann
rehearsal dinner and chaos in las vegas
"Ugh, perfect a man!" Lizette smiled, tossing the table cloth on a table as she took a step toward the door that the other had just come in through. "Elena just told me that the best man was coming soon and to have him help get the ladder so we can hang this from that doorway." she pointed, watching as the other bridesmaids huddled, all eyes focusing on the man that had just come through.
Lizette hadn't slowed down enough to notice that he was quite the looker. Tall, dark, handsome, the kind of guy that nearly anyone looking for a one night stand would want, but, much to all of her friends' dismays, Lizette wasn't like that anymore. She'd had her party days. Now she was a professional. A professional with a job offer she'd be taking just as soon as this wedding were finished with. Besides, if her intuition was right - and she wasn't usually wrong - this man wasn't into her.
"Also, I can't believe we never got to meet before now." she smiled a little wider, eyes shifting towards his torso, focusing on his hand as she extended hers. "Lizette Reyes, the maid of honor. Any questions you have just come find me because if you go bother Elena, this may be the last wedding you ever attend." she threatened, though there was little seriousness in her tone. She were, but, she were trying to be a better person; she'd been told she could come on too strong. The last thing she needed was to be the person causing drama at her best friend's wedding. That simply wouldn't do. @olliehoffmann
Blair listened as Gale seemed to put all the pieces of what she'd done in order in front of her. She'd admit she'd not been very good at hiding her tracks; she'd tried, but, there was a reason she'd never taken a deep dive into Wyatt's career; she wasn't cut out to do that. All she'd wanted was her life with Wyatt back; the second she'd realized how much she'd missed him, all she'd wanted was Wyatt. She exhaled; at this point she knew there was no need to try to deny it. She'd been caught; Hans had ratted her out as she'd expected, she just thought she'd have had more time to rid herself of the evidence first. "What he didn't tell you was that it was his idea." she stated. She sat back in her chair, eyes shifting from Gale to the table in front of her, shaking her head. "It was one night in particular after a fight; I confessed to how I'd wanted Wyatt back and it was too late." she hadn't lied about the abuse or Hans and her having dated - the 'we've ran into each other a few times' had been sarcasm to break any sort of connection suspicions between the two - but she had lied about calling the police; she still regretted letting him get away with what he would do to her for so long. "Hans knew I still loved Wyatt and that I'd regretted every second of leaving him from the moment our divorce was final; I had always been honest about it." she admitted. "I jokingly asked Hans how to get Wyatt back. Wyatt and I had been in communication by that point again already, and Hans had been the one to suggest we kidnap Penelope. I thought it was joking, but, together we formulated a plan and it was too good to say no too. He got his thrill of torturing someone - which he later clearly backed down on as you have already stated - and I got to live my life with Wyatt. Only that all changed the second she was actually locked in the basement; he didn't want to go through with it anymore. I assured him he owed me and I was too headset on getting Wyatt back that I didn't care what happened." she explained, her voice serious though there was no remorse. "I was supportive of Wyatt because I genuinely didn't like seeing him upset." she admitted. "I just didn't care enough to let her go." @galexpeterson
Gale let out a breath. Her story didn't align with Meachum's, but he supposed that with the evidence they were to find on their laptops, at least he now had a confession from her, and two witnesses who had heard and spoken to her. "So, you decided murder was the best option, rather than letting her go?" He asked, though wasn't necessarily waiting for an answer as he waved his hand for the detectives to come in. "I doubt Wyatt will find it supportive to find out you plotted the kidnapping and attempted murder of his fiancee and unborn child, Blair. I doubt a judge will either." He told her, standing up and picking up his device when the detectives came in, beginning to read her, her rights as they clapped her in irons. @ofsilentstorms
END.
Gale sat, staring at the woman before him and initially processing the fact she kept talking to him in the same sweet voice as before he started accusing her of attempted murder. As if she hadn't caught that part to begin with. Yet he listened, collecting more information of her relationship with Hans Meachum. "Aside from starvation and bad environments, he actually didn't directly harm Miss Ruiz." He spoke, sitting up straight and picking up his phone. "There's a few holes in your story, Blair." He continued. "Let me tell you what did happen, Penelope Ruiz recognised you by your voice when you were at the Wheeler residence as the woman that gave Hans Meachum the order to kill her. You wanted this, in order to get your life back at Wyatt's side, that is why you were supportive to him from the moment Penelope went missing. But I can already hear you thinking, identifying someone by their voice and a confession of a jailed suspect surely isn't enough to warrant an arrest of your own, it is not. However, it is enough for a house warrant." He let the words sink in for a moment, opening his phone where he pulled up a photo, which he showed to her by placing his phone back on the table. "Miss Ruiz' engagement ring in your safe confirmed everything we knew." He told her, hands folded on the table. "And when our forensics are done with your and Mr Meachum's devices, I'm pretty sure it'll be a shut and done case. As Mr. Meachum told us you two had quite an extensive communication going on through e-mail." A pause. "Where did you go this wrong, Blair? Kidnapping? Murder? Why?" @ofsilentstorms

"I was supportive of Wyatt because I genuinely didn't like seeing him upset." she admitted. "I just didn't care enough to let her go." @galexpeterson
"People can surprise you." Gale nodded, somewhat impressed with her stone cold performance. Though he had always known she had it in her to say one thing and having done the complete opposite, especially after she broke things off with Gale, he never imagined it would've gone to this extent. So when he mentioned Hans Meachum, he hadn't expected her to admit she knew him. Deniable plausability would've been in play, but at least she had given him the tether that connected her to him. He nodded, eyes drifting towards her shoulder as if deep in thoughts. "Does one of the few times include April 13th?" He stated, eyes flickering back to hers. "When you told him to, and this is a direct quote of his, 'get rid of her'? Her being Penelope Ruiz?" He had crucial pieces of evidence freshly delivered to his device which made it able for him to confront her the way he did. @ofsilentstorms
Of course Hans was going to rat her out now. She'd expected as much when their last visit had gone quite the opposite way then Blair had expected. "April 13th.." she paused, shaking her head. "No honestly that date doesn't ring a bell, though, I'm going to be honest with you Sherrif I'm not so sure using dates is going to be helpful. At least not with me; I don't remember dates well and especially don't remember what I did on them." she shrugged. She couldn't imagine she was the only person that didn't remember dates. No one she knew did. She paused as she thought of an appropriate response for the other's question. Should she lie about how she knew him? Or be honest? "We actually dated for a bit." she admitted, nodding as she looked at Gale, softening her face. That part of her life really did hurt her. "There should be police calls somewhere of the few times I had to call on him because he's abusive." she admitted, eyes widening. "Was he the one that hurt Penelope? He does have that kind of streak inside him!" @galexpeterson
"It does speak volumes, yes." Gale nodded, blue hues fixated on her features as she spoke, keeping eye contact. His eyes trailed downwards when her hand clutched her chest, just for a moment before he looked up at her again. "I wouldn't say there is no." He kept his answer short, for she was supposed to be the one talking and giving him information to go on, after all. He hummed when she said she knew of no one that would hurt Wyatt or his family, brows arching slightly when she mentioned Penelope's family. "No, they were cleared immediately. There's her sisters and a cousin, and he works for the DA." His phone buzzed, momentarily distracting him as the screen lit up. Picking it up, he read the message for a moment but then put it on the table, face down, looking at her again and offering her a smile, as if it was meant apologetically. "What about Hans Meachum?" He asked her. The man that handed himself over to the police for Penelope's abduction, whose name was kept out of the media. "Do you know him?" @ofsilentstorms
It was obvious her plan to use Penelope's family as a decoy wouldn't work; she'd known that the second that she'd mentioned it. She didn't necessarily want it to; her plan was to leave her undetected after all. She wasn't sure she was doing such a good job at that, but, she'd do whatever it took; that she was certain of. "I mean, respectfully Sheriff Peterson it wouldn't be the first time that someone that works in a high position like the DA's assistant did something stupid." she admitted. "I know it's not likely, and I believe you when you say that they were cleared, but, I also know how people can be." She herself being one of them. She sat back a little straighter, eyes focusing on the table as if she were thinking, only to look up at the mention of Hans. "Hans Meachum?" she repeated. "Yeah, I know him briefly." she lied. "We've met a few times." The lie wasn't that she knew Hans, but how well she knew him. She knew him a lot more than she'd ever admit to Gale if she had a say so. @galexpeterson
Gale smiled as response to her question. Had he put his thoughts to words, he would've told her he had rather she stayed far away from Wyatt instead of having her in his vicinity. But he had to keep up appearances, at least until he got his cue. "I guess not. Just caught me off guard, is all. You guys seemed happy together." He spoke, the tone in his voice compassionate. "He does, yeah." He found himself agreeing with that, at least. "I suppose you do, but you still found the time to reach out to Wyatt, support him. He told me you contacted him when Penelope was missing." Gale spoke, leaning his forearms on the able, seemingly in a relaxed stance. "To get to the matter at hand, might you know of anyone who might want to hurt Wyatt? Or his family? Penelope or little Mateo? Anyone you can recall we could look into?" @ofsilentstorms
"That's the same thing my family said." she admitted, eyes meeting Gale's for a moment. "I've always admired Wyatt, I think it's even safe to say that a part of me will always love him." she admitted. "Not in a romantic way." she lied. "But more in the 'I support you and only want the best for you way. I think it says a lot about the two of us that we can remain friends even after such a tragic heartbreak like the one we went through." She wasn't wrong; she did love Wyatt and it was only once shed stupidly let him go that she realized just how much she still wanted him. Of course Penelope was already in the picture by that point; a hurdle if you would. "I did, yeah, I can't imagine." she shook her head, clutching her chest as if to pretend to be upset. "I knew he could use some support during that time; I wanted to be there for him, or at least reach out and tell him that if he needed someone he knew where to find me. There's no harm in checking on an old friend right?" she paused, though, it was the next question that made Blair sit up a little straighter. "No." she lied again, shaking her head. "I've always loved this town and I pride myself in knowing the people here." she nodded. "I don't think I know a single person that could want to hurt them." she stated. "Have you guys looked into Penelope's family?" she questioned. "I'm not sure I know much about them or if they're even here, but, you know how families get sometimes. They see how happy their little girl is with a man like Wyatt who - let's face is - has plenty of power in this town and they lose their minds." @galexpeterson
"He's okay, I would just like to prevent something actually happening to him or his family, we take these things very seriously, especially against our own." But Wyatt wasn't just a fellow officer. He was his best friend. His brother. "Especially after his fiancee was kidnapped. This all just points out it has to do with him. It just doesn't make sense that there were no demands or no message for Wyatt delivered at that time." Gale sighed, looking troubled as he then leaned back in his seat. "Speaking of, and not to discredit Penelope, but I always thought you and Wyatt were a forever kind of thing. You and Wyatt always had a certain flair, I guess is the word. Shame that that went away." @ofsilentstorms
"Oh wow, that's horrible." Blair nodded, agreeing with Gale. She was sure it did seem that way - partially because she knew - not to mention, why would Gale not know? He was the one that would know more than anyone really. Though, even though she agreed, hearing the other's confession that her and Wyatt had a certain flair made her smile, though she nodded. "I'm glad to know that my presence is missed in his life." she joked, though she shook her head. "Sometimes things just don't work out." she shrugged. "He seems happy with Penelope." she admitted, another shrug. "I do miss him, but -" she let the words fall off her lips, doing everything in her power to keep herself under the radar. "We have very different lives now." @galexpeterson
"Blair, thanks for coming on such a quick notice." Gale said as he entered the interrogation room, the detectives on the case watching from behind the glass. It was something that stood close to him, so they did him a favour by letting him lead the interview. "I had a feeling you would be concerned with Wyatt's well being." He continued, setting his tablet down on the table. They had led her to come with a ruse. A threat made to Wyatt and they needed her help to potentially come up with some suspects. As his ex-wife, she knew a lot about him and those they had come into contact with, after all. So when a detective had come asking her to accompany her to the station because Wyatt had received death threats it had luckily worked. "Did they offer you something to drink?" @ofsilentstorms
"Yeah of course." Blair nodded, sitting across the interrogation table as the sheriff entered the room. "I'm happy to help, however I can." she nodded, hands folded together in front of her, something she did to keep from tapping the table as that would be too distracting she was sure. "I have water, but thank you for double checking." she nodded, sitting up a little straighter. "How can I help? I've been worried ever since I heard." There was the smallest pang of fear in her stomach as well, but, she was trying really hard not to focus on that. She was here for Wyatt after all. Anything regarding Penelope Ruiz had already been taken care of. "Is he okay?" @galexpeterson
Wyatt gave her a small smile. "I'm happy to help where I can." He assured her. Despite Blair being his ex-wife, he knew that he could be friends with her. There were times when he never imagined that happening because of how badly she had broken his heart. Wyatt was happy with Nel, beyond happy. He found a love that he didn't think could ever exist for him and he was going to be a father. Not only did he get the joys of raising Teo, but he was going to get the joys of raising a son or daughter of his own. "You're more capable than you give yourself credit for." @ofsilentstorms
The smile on her lips only grew as Wyatt spoke. She'd always had a soft spot for him, even when she'd left him she'd realized how easily she'd had things when she was with him. She'd been dumb to let him go; she'd just realized that way too late. "Thank you again, Wyatt." she smiled, nodding when he said that she were more capable than she gave herself credit for. "I like to think so." she laughed. "Sometimes more than I even realize." The last comment slipped off her lips as a small whisper, but, her smile never faded. If things went to plan, she'd have everything she wanted again very soon. @wyattxwheeler
Wyatt looked back over his shoulder, having not heard another noise. "This won't take too long, I can go check on her after you leave." He told her with a smile. He had to stop himself from hovering over Nel, even thought it's all he wanted to do. "It is easy," though that was coming from someone that was good at that kind of stuff and enjoyed doing so. "And of course if you need any help, you just let me know." He told her, always lending a helping hand to those that needed it. Wyatt was good at giving all of himself to help others and leaving none of that help for himself when he needed it the most. @ofsilentstorms
"Whatever you need to do." she shrugged, taking a look back at Wyatt again, letting her attention return to the paper in front of them as she sipped at her water. "I'll definitely be in touch if it's not something that I can manage." she admitted. "I like to think I'm mostly able to follow instructions, but, I guess it wouldn't be the first time I've let myself down." she laughed. "Thank you." she nodded. "This means a lot, truly." she paused, reading over the instructions again as if to hope that she understood it all, wanting to ask questions if she didn't. "I'm not nearly as confident in my abilities as you are of them, but I appreciate you saving me a few bucks." @wyattxwheeler
"No, go for it," Wyatt didn't have a problem with her grabbing a drink. He shook his head, "Nope, this should about do it." He set the putty knife on the countertop alongside the other items he brought in. "I'll write this down," he told her, grabbing for a note pad that they kept in the kitchen and a pen. "You're going to want to fill the holes with this," he pointed to a tube and the putty knife. "Really want to get it in there." He was explaining and writing down on the paper. "Following me so far?" Wyatt asked, looking up at Blair just as he heard a thump from upstairs. "Nel must be have grabbed the laundry," he commented, "after you do so," he told her, "you use this," he pointed to the sanding block, "get it nice and smooth before you paint over it. Depending on the damage it might take you a few times." @ofsilentstorms
Nodding when he confirmed he was fine, Blair helped herself to some water before moving towards the counter he was standing in front of. It felt like she was in some sort of a shop class - which would've been all the more reason for her to tune it out and play the 'dumb' card - but she'd always loved listening to Wyatt talk. It made it all the more interesting to her. She nodded, eyes meet his features for a second before looking back at the counter, vision landing on the first thing he mentioned. "I am." she nodded, doing her best to actually listen and follow along though, the thump from upstairs made her pause. "You can go check on her if you want." she stated. "I can make myself comfortable or read the instructions on the back of this or whatever." she shrugged. Though when he kept talking, making notes as he spoke she nodded along. "That sounds easy enough." @wyattxwheeler
"Great," he smiled at Blair before moving inside the house. Isaac did not greet him, but that didn't worry him. He knew the dog was with Nel. He'd barely left her side when she was home, which he was grateful for. "Need anything to drink?" Wyatt asked, not wanting to be impolite to his guest as the both of them entered into the home from the garage. "Help yourself," he suggested, moving further into the home where their laundry room was. Wyatt saw that the dryer was running, close to being done before grabbing what he needed to. "Got the last thing right here," he held up the putty knife, "the trusty putty knife." @ofsilentstorms
"Thanks." Blair offered him a smile, small graze of her fingers against his shoulder as she walked past. She'd never get over that. "Actually water would be great." she stated, glancing at him as he said to help himself. "I can grab it if you don't think it's too much of an intrusion." she added, taking a few steps farther into the home before he spoke, holding up the trusty putty knife. "I'm glad you have one of those if I ever need one I know where to go." she laughed. If she were responsible for doing anything herself she would be using it to replace multiple holes in a wall. "Is there anything you need me to help you look for?" @wyattxwheeler
Wyatt's lips remained in a smile, but her words struck a chord. They reminded him of the day she left. He said nothing, not for a moment, "Great, I'll see you there." Wyatt gave her one last look before turning on his heel to leave the store. He got in his truck and drove it the short distance to his home in Cresthill Meadows that he shared with Nel, Teo and Isaac. After he parked his truck, he began rummaging around the garage looking for the supplies that he needed for Blair. He heard her car door shut, "Hey, come on in inside, I've just got to grab one more thing but I've got most of it here." @ofsilentstorms
Blair didn't take her time making her way to Wyatt's house; in fact she felt herself having to stall as to not rush their immediately. She didn't want to embarrass herself by showing up before him; she was eager but didn't want to come across as crazy. So when she pulled into his driveway and realized that he was already there she closed the door behind her, smiling when he came back into view. "Hey." she greeted, nodding at his words. "What a man." she laughed softly, but nodded. "No rush. Take your time. I'm on no time crunch." @wyattxwheeler
