Really digging into some of Corette’s thoughts here, and her involuntarily directionless approach to her life at the moment…I had a lot of fun composing some of these pages, especially the page including scenes of her imagined selves, confident, curious, and creating, meanwhile in reality she’s this huge bundle of fear and doubt.

Corette’s day off

I drew all of this last winter and then some. It’s making me miss autumn…I loved drawing the trees and figuring out how I’d like to color them. All of the warm hues feel perfect for the beginning of Corette’s story…it’s almost like a sunrise.

Of Slime and Stardust - Prologue

I’m so happy to begin sharing this project with all of you. This comic has been something I’ve been trying to realize for many years now. I finally feel like I’m actually well equipped in my art, writing, and timing to be able to handle a webcomic series. This comic will be great for me to exercise my graphic novel abilities and then some. I hope I can keep up with it for as long as possible. No matter what happens, I’m already so proud of what I’ve made. I can’t wait for you all to meet Corette, Hyu, Radic, and the rest of the OSAS cast!

For now, I hope you all enjoy the ever mischevious and mysterious Luciteria ✨

My webcomic Of Slime and Stardust begins updating here in four days on @ofslimeandstardust !

Here is a quick summary of OSAS:

After a chance meeting with a magical alien, jaded college student Corette is infected with a powerful mutation…and her mother is abducted into outer space!

Corette must now travel across the Universe to the alien planet of Slomaria and find her mother before she - and Corette’s humanity - are lost to the stars forever.

I’m soo excited. I’ve been working so is hard on this and it’s finally ready to begin updating weekly. OSAS is a personal project I have been writing and drawing in my free time. If you’re looking for a sci-fi fantasy story with equal parts action, comedy, and character exploration, this is for you! OSAS is the surreal space romp you’ve been looking for.
