iām super pumped to be here, and even more excited to write with you all! iām absolutely IN LOVE with this muse that iāve brought into the roleplay, and i hope that you all love her as much as i do.
her name is victoria flores, and sheās gone by ria for as long as she can remember. her parents immigrated from havana, cuba, to orlando, florida, a couple of years before ria was born. they had a very rough time making ends meet when ria was a baby. her father had to work two jobs just to make sure that they had food on the table of their shoebox apartment. eventually, her father got a job working in human resources at the university of central florida, which provided a stable income and absolutely changed their lives forever. the family also managed to come into some money when riaās mother died -- she had left them a hefty inheritance. overnight, the family went from hardly eating to having overflowing bank accounts and to this day, they thank god for their blessings.
from that point, everything began to fall into place for the flores family. they were finally financially stable, they had a beautiful house, and a beautiful, talented daughter. victoria has always been able to sing. from the young age of three, she was singing along to the songs that she would hear over the radio in the apartment that she and her parents lived in. she used to put on little tutus and put on shows for her parents, which always managed to keep a smile on their faces, even though their hard times. she was 6 years old when she discovered broadway, and from then on, she was hooked. itās genuinely been a life long dream of hers to be on the big stage in new york city, playing role after role on a hit production. specifically elphaba from wicked. what a fantastic role. gosh. iām gonna get emotional thinking about it.Ā
she was able to go to a middle school/high school mix that specialized in the arts, and when she graduated from high school, she was headed to Juilliard on scholarship when tragedy struck. Her father was ( trigger warning ) killed in a car accident, leaving the family devastated. so, rather than going off to college, she stayed in orlando with her mother, got a job, and helped take care of her mother. sheās 21 now, and still living with her mother. she loves her mom, but she hates that she gave up her chance to make a name for herself. thatās when she heard about this tv show. she didnāt think she was going to make it past the audition phase, but i guess the producers like a sad background. so, here she is now on the show, ready to go through bootcamp to live her life long dream.
