there’s a nod before he clicks the mouse on last time, pushing away from the desk in his rolling chair. “i can’t find anything else on him, but i’ll look later.” her question is..a loaded one. toby never really knew how to answer things like that. “i dunno. i guess.” there’s a shrug of his shoulders before he looks at teagan. his friends were never really the nicest bunch around, but before teagan came, he’d told them to be extra nice around her to make sure she wasn’t too spooked by meeting new people all at once. it was to his surprise when they actually complied. he chuckles. “yeah. they’re a bunch of knuckleheads, but they’re fun, so.” the next words that came out of her mouth had him raising his eyebrows. he’d noticed the two talking more than the rest that night, but decided to play it cool.”oh really? who?”
teagan nodded when he pushed away from the desk and turned to face her, “that’s fine, i didn’t really expect much t’come up.” she nodded and raised an eyebrow cautiously at his answer. “you don’t know? did you ever ask her? that’s a good way t’figure it out.” she laughed softly, though she wasn’t laughing at him. at his reaction she immediately felt her cheeks flush. she quickly looked down at her phone and shrugged, not sure what else she could do to avoid his eyes now that he’d actually turned to look at her. “yeah, really.” she nodded slowly, biting her lip as she thought about answering. “it was, uh...” she trailed off and laughed, “it was luke.”
