she’s standing on the tips of her toes, arm reaching out for the last box of coffee filters she knows she saw when she took a few steps back in the aisle to see if there were still some to begin with, but even on her toes it seemed the brunette wasn’t tall enough to grab them. letting out a loud, heavy sigh she looked around the aisle, leaning back slightly as she spotted someone. “ hey, as much as i hate asking… you’re taller than me, so could you grab that thing of coffee filters for me? “ she asked.
daniel detested the grocery shopping and it was a given by how empty his part of the fridge always seemed to be. it was clear by the look on his face as he kept his basket by his side, taking the can he was holding with his hand to his lip, something he still had to pay for. he hadn’t realized there was someone else in the store until he could hear her voice calling out for him. pressing his lips together he walked up to where she stood, reaching for the pack she was asking for, eyes gazing the shelf to realize it was the last one. “ this ? ” he gazed at her for a second before looking back at the box. a smirk was trying to curve upon his lips but daniel kept it from happening and, although playfully, in hopes of getting a little entertainment off this trip, he walked past her without handing what had been asked of him and without a word he waited a reaction.
