Ash swallowed as they stepped closer, managing to hold their ground somehow as she looped her hand around their arm. They smiled as she spoke, following her lead. “Seeing as we’re drinking buddies. I’m Ash, Nice to meet you…” They trailed off, leaving room for her to finish their sentence,

      she smiled, head lifted a little to look at them.   “   Cass. Nice meet you too!   “   she said, before lifting her drink and taking a sip, making herself comfortable against their side. she hummed to the rhythm of music, moving a little too.   “   okay, we drink this and we need to dance a little bit. i’m not gonna take no for an answer!   “   she lifted a finger and winked at Ash.   “   it will be fun, i promise. please?   “

It took everything in Ash not to blush - they probably did - when the stranger winked at them, already feeling giddy from all of the alcohol coursing through their system. The woman had an accent. French, their tipsy brain was telling them? And wow. “I would love to.” They answered, taking their drink from the bar and gesturing away from it toward one of the lounges.

   she tilted her head, watching the other closely ; smiling, she took her drink in hand and smoothly stepped closer to their side, hand lifting to wrap gently around their arm.

   “   that’s the spirit! ---- we will have a lovely time, i know it,   “   redhead said, lifting her head a little bit to look at their face, already moving lightly in the direction they gestured at.   “   i’m glad to meet you, handsome stranger. i was actually worried i will end up bored.   “   she had a feeling that she do know their face, but couldn’t place where.

It had been an awesome weekend. They’d finished their set the night before and had the opportunity to just kick back and relax now. And that was how they had found them self at the bar. A few drinks in and they were feeling sufficiently tipsy as they approached the bar again and ordered their next drink. “I’ll pay for their drink too.” They told the bartender, gesturing to the person beside them. “Pay it forward, right?” They smiled.

   she tried not to bounce on her toes --- it was too not lady-like, the voice that sounds like Mother sneered at her in her mind --- as she comes closer to the bar. cass didn’t worried about being alone, smiling and sipping her first drink, quickly followed by another --- she moved her head, fire-red hairs bouncing, to look at the person that decided to pay for her.

   “   and here i thought nice people are no more around,   “   she said with a smile lifting the corner of her lips and winked, thought quickly straightened up.   “   thanks ---- and now i think it will be only fair if you drink with me, wouldn’t it?   “

Cass is a child of the affair - her father was never a faithful man, but he was discreet about it... To the moment as he met Cass' mother.

A months after a one night stand, the veela he had fun with, came to his home with a little go in her arms. The woman didn't want to have anything to do with a child ; she had her own plans and the kid could only destroy it.

The Blaises decided to cover up the affair, making a story about hiding pregnancy as 'it was hard and they weren't sure if the kid will live'.

Mother never hid from Cass that she wasn't a wanted child, always telling her that as 'half Blaise' she needs to work harder to become a pureblood lady.

She had teachers and was always told to keep her mouth shut about having veela's blood in her veins.
